  1. Why do the Lions keep running that trick play where they run through a huge hole in the middle of the line? Are they a gadget team now?
  2. I couldn't read Lamb's lips. What'd he say?

Funny story (at least so I thought) about monkeys in India. In this case, specifically, at a Buddhist temple. The macaque monkeys will steal items of your--sunglasses, your phone, the bottle of coke you just bought, etc etc--and then scoot up a tree or anywhere else that's just out of reach. And then the best part: They'll return your stolen items to you if you give them some food. I watched this happen I don't know how many times. This is why I'm highly skeptical that size of the human brain plays as important a role in our intelligence as we tend to think. These monkeys, with their tiny little brains, understand enough about how the world works in order to practice extortion.

I've been beyond blessed to travel to several foreign cities/countries, including much of Europe, the middle- and far-east, Mexico, central America, and I can state unequivocally that Nayara has the best customer service in the world. I was blown away with so many things--too many to count--but I'll name a few: The outdoor showers. Who knew it would be so awesome to shower outside in the rainforest each morning. The housekeeping staff comes not once, but twice per day. The hotel grounds are enormous, so you can order a golf cart and driver at no charge, beyond what you might tip. The whole place is surrounded by jungle and full of great jungle "music" at night, from the monkeys to countless birds species. After 4 nights there, we drove to Manuel Antonio and rented lodging just buried in the jungle, and again, you can request a driver to take down through the rain forest to get to a private beach. (I was alone, sitting in a beach chair and reading a book--I needed a day of relaxation before the remainder of our trip--I looked down and saw something tiny crawling across, and when my eyes adjusted, it was about a million teeny crabs moving toward the ocean.) This hotel is called Los Altos, and it was the first time for me that an elevator opened right in my room. Besides the national park, you'll need no help to find plenty of places to see/things to do. If you're eating in one the many outdoor restaurants, you'll want to be wary of the capuchins. They'll steal food right off your plate.
  6. The movement on these pitches is fucking sorcery
  7. Holy Christ what a pitch
  8. Yeah, Cart McCry--who spent a grand total of 45 minutes at the ER--is beyond the pale, compared to, let's say, 25 years of jokes/laughing at the death of 12 college kids. LOL
  9. Keep it up and burn through their bullpen.
  10. We understand each other.
  11. It's an odd notion that anyone would be making excuses for a team that's undefeated in post-season play.
  12. When the job came open, I wanted Vitello. I wouldn't say I was really disappointed with the Schloss hire--and God knows, in 3 seasons, he's done more than any of his predecessors--but it'll be an interesting matchup between the coach I wanted and the one we hired.
  13. LMFAO You should research the origin of your hand sign, your Texas Fight song, the Hex Rally... I know more about your school history than you do.
  14. Holy Cow!
  15. If you're not enjoying this game I just don't understand you.

I'm kinda liking this whole "score several runs without getting the bat on a ball."

    Damn! Nice play

All those guys standing around and none of them thinks, "We should probably cover 2nd base."

What a pathetic call. Jesus FSU vs Uconn, I'm referring to
  22. We have to deal with that with those assholes from Vandy (and soon you will, too) but I can't discern which team this guy's rooting for. Regardless, he needs to be drawn and quartered.
  23. Last thing I saw him in was Boardwalk Empire. When he finds out Chalky's companion is named "Daughter".... I had an old bluetick once. I didn't call her "Hound."
  24. I haven't read through the whole thread, so I'm sure all of these have been mentioned. It's hard for me to nail down "the" movie of my generation's high school but in the top 2 would be: The Breakfast Club Fast Times at Ridgemont High Back to the Future In the running: St Elmo's Fire Weird Science Ghostbusters Honorable mention: Purple Rain Class
