  1. I don’t think this exists in .gif form, so pardon this random guy’s 6 month old tweet about the Chiefs. Choice:
  2. Same thing on Bobby’s livestreams. There is so much stupid that shows up over there & their moronic ass questions/comments have to be read because they are superchats. It’s substantive conversation followed by five different incantations of: -“Gerry, how many guys will be drafted next year?” (Literally asked at least twice in every stream for over a month) -“Bobby, why does Bo Davis suck at recruiting?” Followed by “Well, why haven’t they offered every four or five-star defensive lineman in the country?” -“Gerry, do you think Sark should let Arch start vs ISU to keep him from transferring?” And then Ian Boyd finds a way to Rube Goldberg DJ Campbell into Texas’ next great nose tackle—intimating that the reason he didn’t win a starting job on the offensive line in his first year is because he doesn’t have the mental aptitude for it and therefore he should switch to defense. That is literally something he mused on air. Gerry rhetorically bitchslapped him for it.
  3. With all due respect, you write some of the most naive/flat out foolish posts I’ve seen on this site..always in a somewhat quizzical manner. I can’t recall if you said you are extremely young or English is not your primary language (nothing wrong with either, just trying to account for your naïveté), but yes, the seven-foot dude who earned second team all-American as a freshman, and improved upon those numbers to approximately a double-double per game, is generally considered to be pretty good. You never watched him play “behind” Castleton, because he never played with Castleton. I’m not sure which player you are thinking of, but it wasn’t him. Google works even if you don’t understand basketball, as I believe you described your scant knowledge of baseball previously. “Scrubs” generally don’t receive scholarships, particularly big men, to play at Michigan for a former nba all-star big man who spent 25 years playing and coaching in the league. They also generally do not star in hs ball at DeMatha, one of the most prestigious prep basketball programs in the country historically, known for producing scores of nba players over the past 50+ years. Apologies for the uncouth remarks, but you seriously post like a twelve-year old who just woke up from a decade-long coma sometimes. Nothing you said made the slightest semblance of sense. So, to recap: Dickinson is good, he never played with Castleton in any capacity, and Castleton doesn’t have any eligibility left. It’s fine to ask the question, but don’t follow it up with a nonsensical statement, and then prove that you can competently find relevant information on the internet while ignoring the fact that the refutation to your statement is available directly on the page you linked.
  4. I agree. The history of highly-ranked Guyer qbs in college is not great. JW Walsh (#7 ranked qb) was a very good hs qb, wound up being relegated to a red zone-only qb/sideline hype guy @ OSU. We all know about Jerrod Heard (#2). Shawn Robinson (#6) made a name for himself in his two years @ Guyer playing alongside freshman Noah Cain his junior year, busted @ TCU & became a pretty decent db @ KSU. Eli Stowers (#20) was Jimbo’s handpicked qb for 2021. This is him now: All four of those previous multi-year Guyer starting qbs looked to be big-time P5 qbs at one point. Not one of them justified their lofty rankings (all top 20 qbs; top 200 overall) at the next level (though Heard did have that one superlative performance vs Cal). Arnold may be considerably better than all of those guys, but it isn’t a stretch to say that kids in the Guyer system tend to get a gratuitous bump from the recruiting services.
  5. “What if I told you the biggest impediment to ‘getting to Monday night’ was an early Monday morning in Tarrytown? How a turbulent engagement brought an abrupt end to a seemingly storybook marriage. ‘Being a head coach at the University of Texas is about more than winning games.’ This is Defending the Culture: the Chris Beard, Texas Basketball story.” 🎶Do doo do🎶
  6. Ah, thank you. I thought I had seen his name mentioned in some of the fall notes, but couldn’t recall if I actually ever saw him listed on the fall roster or not.
  7. Guys, forgive me if this has already been discussed, but is there any information on Porchas? I obviously haven’t been paying close attention, but I was brushing up before the season gets underway, and I don’t see him listed on the roster. Have I overlooked something? TIA
  8. I remember the first time I saw Orakpo on campus. Oldest-looking 18-19 yr old I had ever seen.
  9. With all due respect, it is very similar to the résumé of another guy rumored to be under consideration. Say what you will about the wisdom of targeting them specifically, but it isn’t exactly an out-of-left-field idea. I am going to challenge this assertion a bit. We’re generally on the same page, but I’m not even sure I’d give Marion full credit for what we saw in terms of blocking. First, I am not convinced this is necessarily as dependent on the coaching as it is on the disposition of the individual players. Marcus Washington was one of the more willing and capable blockers I can recall. Effort was never his problem. Whittington is right there, as well. Frankly, whatever the buy-in was with regard to blocking, that same energy seemed to be lacking at times in terms of tracking and/or giving full effort on catch attempts. I want to say that started on the very first throw of the season (I could be mistaken), when worthy gave up on a ball downfield. I think I’d be okay with a little less downfield blocking in exchange for a little more effort on downfield or slightly off-target throws. Maybe it appeared as though there was more buy-in because nobody outside of Worthy was really getting targets and the only thing we saw them doing consistently was blocking for Bijan and Roschon. I will say that what little we saw of Thompson and Red blocking was encouraging, but that kind of illustrates the point—we didn’t see them catching passes. The RBs next year will certainly need the WRs to bring that same effort next year (bringing JWhitt back is a big boost), but it goes without saying that the team will need much, much better effort from them catching passes.
  10. I’m sure that back door to Tennessee has nothing to do with the one Neyor took to Texas. Like a courtesy call or a “sorry my guy stood you up last time, I’ll put in a good word” gesture of good faith.
  11. They are just trying to remind everybody of the VY-esque (200/200) game he had against them in the music city bowl. As Nick Saban would say, “[Jackson] ran through their ass like shit through a tin horn.” Literally kickstarted his heisman campaign the following year. I remember aggies bitching about how the $1.5 million man, Chief, couldn’t stop a one-man (who couldn’t throw) team from the acc. As I recall, it was an especially resplendent time to follow along, considering the game came on the heels of Kylexit aka the Kylodus. There were so many “After __ Years, I’m Done☹️”/“FIRE HIM NOW!😡”/“Didn’t Watch, Feel Much Better👍”/“I Just Don’t Understand Why God Hates Us😢” threads on TexAgs back then..good thing they upgraded. Jimbo has definitely taken the program where Sumlin couldn’t. On the even brighter side, now aggies can look at that time when Jimbo’s #2 ranked FSU team got absolutely humiliated 63-20 by a slightly above average Louisville team and claim a point of pride*..which they are wont to do. *Just FYI, try not to mention that, around that same general period, well-known super genius, Todd Orlando, managed to effectively shut down both of those illustrious offensive masterminds in the span of eleven months, give or take (and had beaten Jackson/Petrino previously, three months prior to that span). Info like that tends to effect an uncontrollable facial twitch in them, similar to this: (Could just be an Orlando thing, tbh)
  12. Ouch. Beard: Yo Chris, you see that statement my kick ass lawyer released? She recanted. Easy peasy. So, when am I coming back? CDC:
  13. This guy: Oh, it is a financial issue. I thought we were rich..we should be buying guys like USC. Best eleven, no excuses! CTJ:
  14. Was saving this for Pimpton, but he’s out. Hook ‘em, Deandre.
  15. Same. Growing up, I had unc pjs & boxer shorts, unc backpack, unc golf bag + head covers + golf towel, & a basketball signed by the ‘84 team (Kenny Smith’s sig was as important to me as MJ’s, which was/is ridiculous). I was kind of hoping he would move to Boca and become the next sledgehammer for Tom Herman to clumsily wield.
  16. Hmm, eye of the beholder, I suppose. I see a very ornate bidet + a man with his hands full. Is it not an ad targeting that last-minute holiday shopper looking to give the gift of hands-free cleaning? I mean, fake cowboys in assless chaps can’t afford to be cavalier with their hygiene..seems like a sensible gift for any aggie.
