  1. yep. you could tell right away that mother fucker was going to be an issue. he was trying to pick up the flag on the one penalty they got and the 'ref huddle' were the other officials noticeably nodding that is was, indeed, a penalty on Baylor. His 'attitude' was clear. Even on how quickly he 'confirmed the call on the field' on the fumble and the lateral and the whatever. Puffy Ref. Wish I would have looked for this thread during the game and I wouldn't have cluttered the game thread up so much with this shit. Nobody has ever seen a calls disparity this severe. Anywhere. I mentioned in that game thread....the 'Grant Teaff' send off game (also in our stadium) was the only thing I remember being that obvious in our own park. Then, too, the OSU thing with Charlie Strong. I am with whoever suggested Del Conte isn't doing enough about this shit. It shouldn't be up to Sark to jump on the grenade and get penalized during the game. Del Conte has enough leverage in that Big 12 Office to make this embarrassing to the Big 12 and he's not and that's bullshit.
  2. We won in a way that Texas is chronically accused of not being able to. We fucking bowed up on defense and run game and beat those mother fuckers for a quarter and a half. A whole lot of folks, legitimately cuz they ran twice as many plays as we did, wrote that defense off as having 'quit, you can see it in their body language' In the end, it was Baylor who got tired of getting fucking hit and didn't answer the bell. Obviously need serious work on our passing game........all of it but #0 and #4. But, fuck that felt good......especially going up against the most asinine officiating we've run up against, and we've run up against some bullshit before. The Bijan chant at the end will be something everyone who heard it will ALWAYS remember, ....just an epoch moment. Well done, boyz Hook 'Em
  3. Puffy Ref fought the good fight, but EVERY other ref had to shake their head and tell him is was really on Baylor
  4. PUFFY REF YOU'LL ALWAYS BEEEE HOME SWEET HOME TO ME!!!! GOOD OL' PUFFY REF,......... RIGHT TO THE FUCKIN' MIC, JACK.....NO DOUBT
  5. this Puffy Ref is gonna be a mother fuckin' problem
  6. that chick in the stands kinda stuck the entire landing. not much else needs to be said about that complete disaster.
  7. Puffy Ref gave them that time out back as quickly as he could,
  8. I had forgotten Albert Collins was still on this team.
  9. aaaaaaaaaand.....Puffy Ref picks up the only flag we've received in our favor
  10. Puffy Ref, specifically, is looking DEAD AT these offensive holds and is, specifically, the guy calling 'grounding/no grounding' and/or going to the replay. Puffy Ref. this is very 'Grant Teaff's last game-ish' FUPA looking super 'windbreaker' looking like a spinnaker, mother fucker.
  11. Ford ....he's kinda catching on here.
  12. told you. this puffy ref is gonna be a mother fuckin' problem
  13. That puffy referee is gonna be a problem. Along with our secondary And our Quarterback. I'm directing my rage at the puffy referee, though. If Ewers can't throw the ball from A to B on this drive, he needs to sit the fuck down. And I'm the last hold out here for pulling him, but that shit is so bad, whatever the fuck that pass into the ground from the endzone was....it's like he's trying to do the worst possible shit that he can pull off
  14. Barkley is a good example, I believe. Maybe Curtis Martin and I say that with absolute respect as I believe Curtis Martin was a flat out bad ass.. Barry Sanders.....that's a bold statement. Walter was generally known as the best pass catcher out of of the back field who had played up until that time, to accompany his elite, elite running ability, Marshall Faulk obviously came later and is another really good candidate. Good barstool conversation anyway.....these are the best players ever to play running back that he's getting mixed in with, which has got to be good.
  15. Came here to post 'Walter Payton' but that's been done. He's probably not 'like' anyone, agreed. But if the question is to compare him to some 'archetype' running back, if you must .....Walter Payton.
  16. It's the same shit group -think that drives the 'you should know about walking on this grass or stepping on this field that a 'pummeling' is coming' , that you should expect horse shit shovelled from behind whatever fake 'Cavalry Outfit' they parade out there be thrown onto visiting alumni who were actually there in actual representing the actual military or, hell, 'you should expect violence in your own stadium' from our blistered ass hurt fans who are obviously and implicitly are going to utilize YOUR stadium for our 'yell practice' while you are trying to celebrate - All from the he bird chested core dorks with ZERO shot of getting laid who continue to not only get their own asses whipped by whomever they confront from the Baylor Student Section The SMU cheerleaders The Rice Band The Texas Railroad Commission in Waco University of Texas Cowboys Their own idiot player's fathers/alumni in Lubbock who beat on their own students with Binoculars 'like they were at the Alamo' To any reasonable on looker, they, at BEST continue to embarrass their school en masse. It would be one thing if they were some rogue 'frat' like thing that could be disciplined and brought under control. What EVERYONE is finding out (that we've kept from the general public lo all these years of hiding our retard little sibling) this is not 'rouge' at all. This is EXACTLY who they are, who they are proud of being and their raison d'etre. It's manically ubiquitous, not only within the 'core' but the faculty, the administration, the BOR, the Chancellor, Rick Perry and everyone attending those idiot Midnight Yell practices. There's no 'fixing' this behavior when it is their essence. The call is coming from inside the house.
  17. I was actually going to give them credit for the the 'ironic rushing the field after beating UMASS' to send the most 'in kind message possible' to their powers that be. By the looks of that crowd...that deal is not even going to work out. I would have had a modicum of respect for the 'New School Fish' or whatever who were self aware and self-deprecating enough to pull something like that off.
  18. wow. I knew venturing in here to get the pulse of the Surly fans on the best I've seen Texas Basketball look in my life ( and, yes, I went to San Antonio to watch TJ Ford and the crew win twice....last night was a better than that, which I never thought I would say)....there would be some diversity of opinion but this guy is fucking wack. Going to watch Bob Weltlich bumble through another loss to SMU or whoever while I brought my books to the Erwin Center to study during the game, when the women out drew the men's team and the only interruption to that studying was audible squeak of basketball shoes and the other team's coaches yelling at their players. The Moody Center last night was so fucking far from that it's dizzying and this cat has decided to go 'anti-Beard' as his online schtick? Odd to say the least.
  19. this is really all there is to it. really. tht's all there is to it. Everything that's happening, has happened and will happen only needs to cover one bar..... that one. Traylor seems like he belongs here and I don't think aggy has the ability to think in a way that would allow him to be a candidate there. Urban Meyer, tho....that I can see.
  20. Every time you question the 'culture' or effort of the TEAM (not induvial players who may legit come up short)...watch this cat blocking down field. He's a fucking monster and he might still be our fastest player, even with all of the surgery. Just a fucking hoss and I'm proud of him being on the team I have devoted my adult life to rooting for.
  21. that last minute injury to Neyor really, really.....really looms large af No, it doesn't fix everything, but things would be A LOT better with him than without him. I've advocated for getting #4 the ball more since this season began and I maintain that, but this other thing to keep these idiot passes to Worthy is just not manifesting. It shouldn't take Isiah Neyor to be in the line up to make the difference, but I do think that it would have made a difference.
  22. no flag? these always come back on on a flag
  23. yep. I can't imagine where these guys are when the receives are THIS wide open AND there is no pressure on the QB. Which part of the field are our 11 guys paying attention to? And the nauseating 'campfire circle' coverage is rearing its head here again. Ford is good in coverage when we are playing with the back of the endzone keeping their 11 guys somewhat near our 11 guys or they will be out of bounds. Lot's of work to do on the back 7. We shouldn't need to blitz KSU to get pressure and when we don't, 7 guys in coverage need to be somewhere near the ball
