  1. I accompanied Lil' Nigel on an unofficial during the season 3 years ago now. This was the prime of Sark wanting size over anything else to make over the roster. Both Stroh and Kirkland were there with us. They were the two largest 17 year olds I will probably ever see. Stroh was the larger of the two, an absolute giant. While the OL certainly go larger, those two obviously did not work out and I can't see how this wasn't apparent in all those practices.
  2. Lil’ Nigel’s 2nd grade teacher would put this song on when they returned from recess all amped up. They would quiet down and start humming along a lock into a more quiet class time. It was a great use of music.
  3. And I disagree, as do the coaches in that conference.
  4. I don’t see this. He did well as OC at UNLV. He took over a sub-.500 team from the past two seasons. He got them to the cusp of the playoffs in a conference with Montana, Montana State, and UC Davis (predicted 6th, finished 4th). He is very intriguing with good (if not great) results. Now, the head scratcher is why he gambles moving from HC to OC. The main answer we have seen first hand with Jeff Choate leaving a great FCS gig at Montana State to be LB coach at UT while more than doubling his pay.
  5. This is a huge pet peeve of mine. Lil’ Nigel plays and they have several players with untucked undershirts (because it looks cool). EVERY single game this year I saw a player brought down at some point in the game by their undershirt. There is practice film of Saban making a big deal of all jerseys needing to be tucked in. He got it.
  6. This correct. They also do this on the Monday of the prior week (10-11 days before) with all four possible teams and matchups.
  7. Dude. No brainer. That will be awesome!

  9. It was a good enough throw, great catch.
  10. Been repeated in my house often while the kids were growing up. It’s a good lesson in general.
  11. Lord Farquad to the Giants is official.
  12. Wow, there is so much wrong with that. It’s actually scary.
  13. We have taken the shuttles the three times we have been. Twice from downtown and once from the Long Center. No one transportation is better than the other, so you may as well not have to mess with driving. Once on the bus either way, we moved without much wait. The line after the race to board the buses was the only wait we really had, and wasn’t bad. My kids absolutely loved it. It is a spectacle and it feels big, because it is. That energy is palpable throughout the crowd. I hope y’all have a great time.
  14. Seriously. If there was a market for those rings, I could retire.
  15. Agree, but the captaincy was absolutely a problem. Shipnuck's article above sums it up well. Europe was much more prepared analytically the past two years. Unfortunately for Keegan, the play of the US team on Sunday only shines a spotlight on the "what were you thinking?" line of questioning.
