  1. Given that Texas already hired Tom Herman, I’m puzzled by the assertion that Urban would somehow be a turd too far
  2. Thanks to the Nebraska Democrats being the KU football of state level political parties, he doesn’t really have to worry. The guy that won the D primary got disavowed for sexual harassment, so while he’s on the ballot the party is pushing a write in.
  3. and they still managed to let Jim Fix it for years
  4. The science is that you don’t want to move air around in a poorly ventilated space, and it’s hard to heat buildings without doing that
  5. Also a big part of Hud was how to deal with a contagious disease that could screw your neighbors over too.
  6. Are you surprised he’s being dipshit with no god damn regard for anything but himself and his precious feelings?
  7. I’m sure he has auto steer.
  8. These guys would take an intentional safety when they’re up 1 point
  9. Just remember they worked on JFK for a good while and the back of his skull was gone
  10. Pieces of Hannity would still be falling to this day
  11. Because it hard to be so consistently tone deaf with choices on his level
  12. If nothing else tonight has reminded me that there are plenty of dumbshits out there that will grab the electric fence even though they can hear the ticking
  13. I’ll also posit Nebraska-1 could be a wild card as well. Might not be as likely as NE-2, but if you can get Lincoln to turn out, and some of the more favorable Biden military numbers are accurate it could surprise. (NE-1 is Lincoln+SE Corner+Offutt Adjacent)
  14. The Omaha World Herald had a great series last year about the neighborhood he grew up in. Sayers, Bob Gibson, Bob Boozer, Ron Boone, Marlin Briscoe, and Johnny Rogers all came out of the same few blocks in a 10 year span, and were coached by Gibson’s older brother
  15. Pete Ricketts should be in the receiving votes category
  16. I don’t think you’re curious about it at all.
  17. I’m hoping ACU pulls this off mostly since I ran track in High School against the ACU OC
  18. Why does it always seem those who are most obsessed with censorship never have anything interesting to say?
  19. Being settled by criminals generally looks like a better starting point.
  20. Either way he likely rolls his joints all wrong
  21. She was in her 70’s in 2009. Sometimes you have to take the off-ramp when it presents itself. Don’t make yourself bigger than the job.
  22. When you’re already well into your 70’s with multiple bouts with cancer and you have a friendly Senate and President, it might be time retire in favor of someone who can continue your legacy instead of rolling the dice that you’ll continue to beat increasing odds. Scalia got lucky that Mitch bailed him out.
  23. This is good illustration of why justices need to think tactically about their place on the court and how and when they maybe replaced.
  24. I realize the obvious thing here is Traces of Texas which I’m sure everyone here already follows. (Even I as a non-Texan enjoy it) but what else do you follow for bits of history and enjoyment? I follow accounts that tweet pictures of dive bars from across the United States, non-standard McDonalds, abandoned race tracks and google street views of post offices. I also engage and contribute content to an account dedicated to locating the location of every football that hosted high school football in the state of Nebraska, and one dedicated to Nebraska High School Sports history.
  25. Everyone is clear they’re having the actual meetings after the Nebraska President leaves right?
