  1. I’ll answer my own question (keeping apolitical) 1.) keep interest rates in a normal band commiserate with a nonzero return on cash and to price risk capital appropriately. ZIRP facilitated the above Buy, Borrow, Die along with numerous other market distortions. 2.) Rationalize/cut regulations. 3.) raise top tax rates. Move rate progressive levels upward. $175k isn’t wiping your ass with $100’s and shouldn’t suffer greater rates. 4.) Federal infrastructure investment in roads, bridges, ports, energy specifically synced with #2 above. Preempt legal challenges and get shit done.
  2. So give me your recipe to solve K shaped economy?
  3. Well that putt by DC kind of sums it all up.
  4. Odd stalk by someone who allegedly has me on ignore. also Facebook? Really?
  5. Jennifer Gardner must have taken ALL the Tylenol 19 years ago
  6. I get the sausage mcmuffin with egg breakfast about once a month. Got it Tuesday for $5 down from like 7.50 or so. Thats great and all but it was like $3.75 prior to Covid, what a fuckjob
  7. We need the catering company to give the Euros food poisoning and for Rory to forget to set his alarm again. Maybe Rahm catches a debilitating case of jock itch?
  8. If McDonalds coffee is “burnt” then Starbucks is like licking the ashtray at a heavily trafficked cigar lounge. Not, “serious gourmet shit” but is very solid roadtrip coffee at an extremely affordable price.
  9. Talking head on CNBC was saying this AM that the US has been in a "rolling recession" for the last few years and that we are headed out of the rolling recessions into another bull market. Who knows. A lot of the bullets you have listed sync with my personal experience. Pretty much been total chaos this year...will the tariffs really start to bite? who knows.
  10. What does that mean in lay terms? I get the gist of the post, but am unfamiliar with "puking cuts". That mean they are producing a lot of them..streaming from the slaughterhouse like puke?
  11. the cure for high prices is high prices. It happens EVERY time. It takes time and there will be economic blood along the way.
  12. I think you underestimate how catastrophically stupid most people are when it comes to money, cars, and debt.
  13. doing my part. Went over to Costco early Saturday to get some steaks for an afternoon/evening of CFB and culinary enjoyment on the patio. Saw the price and NOPED on over to the Pork Butts. Weber SM and pulled pork sandwiches it is.
  14. I’m not proud to admit I once dismissively hung up on a government regulator because he had a thick East Indian/Asian accent and sounded like one of a million cold call solicitations that came from that part of the world back in the day(late 90’s) He called right back and I was about to go off when something clicked and I realized my error. Not sure how far he could have pushed being blown off but it certainly would have been my job and a bunch of money.
  15. 6 of one half dozen of another. Although stealing mail as a federal employee is probably a worse idea than a private employee. maybe? Last few years, when I have been in a post office there is someone extremely pissed off dealing with parcel shipments overload. Appears they are subcontracting for amazon and competing with UPS on parcel really hard. Not sure but the "going postal" employee stereotype is an undersell right now in my experience
  16. Lockbox theft by low level employees sold online
  17. Motherfucker scammers almost got me a couple years ago. Hacked a vendors email. Sent an invoice for a small invoice that the vendor had done that was a fix a problem emergency situation. So I felt like we owed them a favor to process the payment outside of normal terms per the request, “cash is tight, can you help us out?” Request. Last minute I caught the minute change in email. Fuckers.
