  1. If Zillow has the interface that everyone likes and another site has accurate info, why doesn’t one buy the other and win win.
  2. But Japanese. Lease European.
  3. Love the show. Great choices for actors
  4. A) if you don’t mind tolls, Pflugerville is pretty convenient. ~20 minutes to 35th and Lamar, Cedar park or the airport. Bonus: no tent cities. B) even if you wanted to, you’re too late. There isn’t anything for sale out here. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Invincible. Animated superheroes that swings a little close to the boys.
  6. Sold my 2019 Tundra for about what I paid for it two years ago to Carvana. I was willing to buy 2016 or newer 4wd 4Runner with 30-75k miles. The prices were all close to new. It took 4 weeks to find what I wanted. Now to find an empty basket for the roof. . .
  7. I doubt the realtor moves. They probably specialize in helping military folks that often have to shop remotely and with hurried schedule. When I was in the navy there was always a realtor in the area that the welcome team would refer to people that were coming in the next few months. They idea was they are used to handling VA loan buyers and people with tight schedules. They’d also help you sell with a similarly tight schedule or find renters when you left. They weren’t afraid to handle everything for you if you had to deploy or whatever.
  8. What is the opinion on Sunday? I see ads on fb for a service that will formalize a plan for your lawn and ship the chemicals to you.
  9. The realtors in our neighborhood did not disagree. Our hood for the last few years was a $280-350k appraisal. Every house is listed way over recent appraisal and winning bid is $100k over that
  10. Buying ammo can be costly.
  11. Academy round rock has ammo Limit 2 boxes. Got some 9mm.
  12. Are you in austin? If so I’ll take any 9mm at retail. If not in austin anyone closer can come get it. It looked like 8 boxes plus the 25 rounds of hornady.
  13. Been thinking about this since you posted. Verdict?
  14. Yeah. Not good. Rami Malek is not a great actor. I was mildly intrigued in Mr Robot. Thought he was okay in Bohemian Rhapsody and thought he added nothing in this show.
  15. Good feedback. Time to go grab a few and see how they feel.
  16. Is there a surly consensus? I’m replacing a kitchen aid set and thinking wusthof classic ikon or zwilling henkels pro. Maybe Victorinox Swiss Army Cutlery Rosewood Straight Steak Or is this a Shun only crowd?
  17. I used to have one. I have a dog that barks at squirrels and they would rush out on a tear barking incessantly and the neighbors would complain.
  18. Just adopted this weekend. I’ve adopted from shelters and a greyhound rescue group. Totally different experiences. Choosing a dog that fits your idea of a dog is important. If you don’t like constant barking, ask about barking. If you want a fetch pal or a hiking buddy, ask about their activity level. The shelters have been good at communicating their sense of the dogs they see every day. Right now, most shelters are doing virtual adoptions which can make it hard to get a sense of the dog like you would in person. After reviewing their website this past week, the first 9 dogs I inquired about, the staff suggested against them because I had a small old dog and have kids. I insisted to see one and they were right. The dog was way too energetic and would have pummeled my dog just trying to play. I was lucky the last time I adopted that the dog was 95% housebroken and did some basic commands. She was 2 years old. Now she’s 16 and much slower. The personality at the shelter was shy and timid, but the report was more promising and it worked out. The time before was a greyhound rescue group that did a phone interview, then a home visit, then a meet up. The adoption required things like “if you go out of town, you will find a rescue group member to take the dog while you’re gone” and a reference from a neighbor but I guess it makes sense. They deal with horror stories all the time. The shelters are pretty good about giving you material on how to crate train, how to potty train, etc. and they usually have places that will do the first vet checkup for free or reduced price. As for supplies: food, training treats, water dispenser, bed(s), collar, leash. Plan on possibly $1k/yr in vet fees (dental cleaning, two checkups, flea and tick prevention, heart worm prevention). I’d plan on being off 3-5 days when you first get the dog home so you can supervise the dog in their new home.
