  1. One of my favorite recent road games was the trip to Lubbuttock in Beard's first (*ahem, only*) season. Yes, my 'Horns got curb stomped, but that arena was PACKED and the crowd was LOUD. And, aside from some bruised egos, nobody was harmed and everybody seemed to behave themselves. It was college hoops at its best, imo. Boynton does seem to win the "nice, respected guy" award every season but he hasn't produced and he's been given plenty of time to do so. I know the league is brutal but what OSU and GIA have become is nothing short of sad.
  2. Hate to tell you, but Vince never had that many yards as a receiver.
  3. Fans at Allen Fieldhouse boo virtually any call against the Jayhawks. They are loud and they are vocal but they are also incredibly whiny and they absolutely influence officiating. But it's what makes AFH a great, intimidating atmosphere. A win there always feels like a massive achievement, regardless of how good KU may or may not be that year. Again, this is the chief stupidity I'm addressing: As for this: You probably have this impression because, I'll wager, you spend more time on this site than you do on your "own" team's sites.
  4. This is a poor take. It's like you've never watched a game at Allen Fieldhouse, or Cameron. Fans everywhere are about the same and bitch about refs about the same. I'll give you credit for the conspiracy nonsense angle, but otherwise, that post was bad and you should feel bad.
  5. Man, if the Texans are running down your culture/approach, you know you've got work to do ...
  6. More Wemby analysis: If I were the Spurs, I'd take a hard look at the two-man guard/center game that Denver developed with Jokic and Murray. Though Jokic is unmatched as a passer, Wemby is excellent in his own right, and he's already proven himself capable from BTA or driving to the hoop. Of course, guards who can create, drive, shoot and pass like Murray don't grow on trees, but if the Spurs can pair Wemby with the right guy and they put in the work, San Antonio will be a force for many years.
  7. Just don't ever let judges or jurors find out that you frequently associate with @Patricio Swayze, or it will be guilt by association!
  8. Couple years ago I was in a bar in Homer, Alaska, and the local taxi driver was a 60-something-year-old man from--you guessed it--Albania. The moment he revealed his roots, I started singing the jingle from that Cheers episode ... and the craziest thing ... is he started singing it with me! Good times.
  9. Fair, although I personally favor an offering from the 80s--Bull Durham.
  10. @'stache dropping truth bombs over the past couple of pages.
  11. I've been looking for one of those ever since using the one my stepmom has. No luck so far. Those hash browns look damned tasty. HEB brand?
  12. By his standards, Jokic had a poor game tonight. I think he's washed. Nugs would do well to trade him, while he still has some value. I suggest sending him to the Spurs for a late second-rounder and Cedi Osman.
  13. He took notes from your "Pump My Dumper" thread and now his J is straight fiyah.
  14. No way. Both you and @956 Worldwide are well informed on the geopolitical scene and I very much enjoy your posts.
  15. Some deal with Turkey. Russia has to have permission from Erdogan to go through the Bosphorus and Dardenelles and he denied it at the war's outbreak, so Russia's Black Sea Fleet has essentially been trapped. EDIT: Experts beat me to it.
  16. Disagree. In his prime, Wilson threw a lovely deep ball--possibly the best in the business--and he excelled at buying time, which he had to do because Carroll and the management never did much to shore up an offensive line that couldn't pass protect. I've heard Wilson was slow to make reads or go through progressions, which probably exacerbated Seattle's protection issues, but I'd still put him up there with prime Rodgers in being able to buy time and make winning throws despite constantly having defenders in his face or having to run for his life. Pro football is a young man's game.
  17. Braylon just tryna get some good karma going after the crimes he committed against the Texas secondary in the 2005 Rose Bowl. (Yes, I know our 'Horns won but that guy had a DAY.)
  18. I see your Shoshana and Shirine and raise you one Lea Seydoux. Plus a million others that I can't post here. I'll merely add that they are real, and they are spectacular.
  19. Please tell me you also get a chocolate Frosty and dip the fries in it.
  20. Oh, fuck off. Your OF is still up and running and, from what I can see, you're still showing the goods. Now pucker up and bust out those Sharpies!
