  1. Rimbo, could it be that, once again, you are angry at something else and are looking to take it out on me?
  2. And I'm ashamed to admit I didn't even get the quote correct.
  3. Got dammed right. El Tri can never do it alone. Mexico may win lots of CONCACAF matches in qualifying or Nations League or the Gold Cup, but that's often with an assist from refs. Those refs aren't there to help at the World Cup, though, which is one reason why El Tri can't make it past the quarters (or out of their own group as was the case with Qatar).
  4. I would spontaneously orgasm if El Tri's so-called A-team crashed out in the quarters to this shitty Tico side.
  5. NARRATOR: The kid wasn't even hers. Panama embarrassing Qatar shouldn't be a surprise. The Canaleros sent their A team and have been playing well. Meanwhile, Qatar sent its B side and then was forced to play without many of those starters tonight because the CONCACAF ref from Canada during the group finale against Mexico got frustrated about not being able to push El Tri to victory so he instead dished out NINE cautions to Qatari players. So basically, Panama is playing Qatar's C team.

Is that you, Andrea? Or is it Andrés? Or possibly Juan Román?
  8. You mean Chad Powers? That guy is everywhere.
  9. In addition to being decent shooters from BTA, Horton and Weaver also provide some much-needed lenf** to the perimeter. ** Previously used that phrase jokingly, but I now employ it reverently. RIP, Lance!!!
  10. Mildly reminiscent of my favorite rider--Thor Hushovd. World-class sprinter, decent time-trialist, and a surprisingly good climber for a "Clydesdale" competing at 174-180 lbs. Occasionally would snipe a mountain stage, although doing so meant he'd ride like a potato for the next few stages. Just an all-around great cyclist, unlike that one-trick** lump of shit Cavendish, who never could do anything on his own. ** And what a trick it is! But he's still a lump of shit, demanding to be dragged over any distance, never making a move for himself (including Olympic track racing), and always throwing his teammates under the bus whenever losing to someone else because they didn't lead him out correctly.
  11. I never realized how excellent his voice was until focusing on this song. Kind of a male Mama Cass, imo.
  12. There's a mistake in that Rice bio. It neglects to mention that he's a BAMF.

I'd be surprised if anyone argued with you there. First came Donovan, who was then outclassed by Dempsey, who was then supplanted by Puli. Soon, hopefully, it'll be Gio. Or maybe one of our other young guns. Overall, the USMNT talent level keeps rising. It's an exciting time to be a fan.

Given Pulisic's injury history, I actually believe his part-time use at Chelsea worked in his favor. He's got a lot of miles** left in his little frame and, with any luck, the nagging health issues are behind him and he can be a consistent contributor for his club. He might not be the world's best, but he's still too good not to play more. ** Case in point, @Napoleon, do you remember posting about how Canada's wingback Laryea outpaced Jedi a couple of weeks ago? Later, during the same match, Pulisic put on the jets and comfortably outpaced Laryea for a ball.
  15. Never wrong, never sorry, always gotta be in control, and always the victim. Got a couple of relatives exactly like that. Definitely FAFO hall of shame.

A hearty but qualified, "Yes!" assuming the trip ends in Minsk.
