  1. I made $0 last year … On a side note, I feel like more kids are going to look at alternative options. I just hired a new grad hygienist at $45 an hour. For a 2 year degree out of high school…. She can’t do shit and I’m paying out my ass for her. My wife with 2 degrees from UT started her career in the corporate word about 7 years ago at half that salary. Either salaries for undergraduate and graduate degrees are going to need to go up or people will not want to take on the debt for a shitty ROI. My wife quit her job a few months ago because it simply wasn’t worth slaving away 10-12 hour days. I have a younger sister that got into Texas and got a full ride to UH. I’m so happy she took the full ride. Going to Texas is not worth 100k in debt… If I have kids one day, I’m going to push them to go wherever they get the best financial aid. If they end up being dumb and can’t get scholarships, then I’m going to push them to do a 2 year route at a community college for dirt cheap tuition and then transfer for the last 2 years. They will save a ton of money.
  2. I bought it .95 As soon as I bought it, it’s been tanking. On par for most of my stonk investments.
  3. Eh…. UUUU has been on a tear. Im more frustrated with IBRX. Just keeps tanking.
  4. I’m not conceding anything. I don’t expect Stewart in this class. Kids that decommit RARELY recommit to the same school. Everyone has known this kid’s family is looking for a pay day.
  5. Lolol at Stewart at aggy. He can enjoy his mediocre stats there. They have plenty of talented WRs. Preston, Demas, Smith, Wright, etc. none of them produce and it’s because that offense features the TEs and RBs. His dad didn’t want him to commit to Texas in the first place and they have made it clear they are looking for money. Our freshman WR is blowing away any aggy WR when it comes to stats. Sark literally won Devonta Smith the Heisman. This kid had no interest in aggy and now all of the sudden they lead over Bama, UF, Texas, ou and other schools that actually have WR production. Aggy gave him the offer he wanted and it’s easy to see. Outside of Texas, if he were to pick a school, I’d rather him go there. Enjoy blocking Evan. We’ll be fine with Thompson and Worthy scoring.
  6. AJ Green with one of the most pathetic routes and effort I’ve seen on a crucial play.
  7. Fuck this entire AD and Plonsky and every old fuck that thinks we are entitled to win and get recruits bc we’re Texas. We need to get a bag network set up ASAP. NiL is great for guys like Bijan, but recruits still want bags and we are way behind the game.
  8. @immamac I just get an error if I click on burnt ends chat and when I click on the burnt ends tab, theres no content except that I can see the members that joined. Is my shit borked or am I just an idiot that can't find it?
  9. Good stuff guys? How do I find the cade Brewer podcast?
  10. I obviously don't have the shares you do but if it hits 50, I'm getting the first round for everyone!
  11. lol at the people having hope about the Brocks. The twins don't give a fuck about Texas. They were actively trying to get our commits to look elsewhere during their recruitments.
  12. because when he's not a lazy fuck, he's one of the best recruiters in college football.
  13. So looks like he visited ou and now bama since he committed to Texas. Blue is on decommit watch as well. Let’s see how this plays out…
  14. Let’s see if Tucker offers Winfield at LSU… lots has to happen for that to play out and even if it did, he isn’t exactly a scheme fit for this offense.
  15. Anyone invested in AMD or know anything about it? I have friends that know their shit investing in it heavily.
  16. Absolutely. But Sark isn't going to fix this on his own. It's clear that we are at a talent disadvantage. We will not be competitive running this program clean. The college football landscape has changed. Our AD, coaches, and alumni need to figure out how to get the elite top players in here quick... and it starts with the OL.
  17. You can pick countless plays this season where we have the right play call and the players simply completely fail to execute. Last week, I saw Sark call the perfect play where Joshua Moore ran a slant. He beat his man there wasn't a single defender in front of him. Ball was thrown perfectly, it hit his hands, and he dropped an easy catch. If he catches that, that results in a 70 yard TD. Every game, we have plays like this where it's a great call and the players either false start, drop a pass that hits their hands, QBs overthrow a wide open WR by 5 yards, we miss an easy tackle or we get called for a personal foul after stopping the opposing offense on an important 3rd down. The title of this season should be self inflicted wounds. How much are the coaches to blame? I have no idea. But at some point, these players need to look at themselves in the mirror.
  18. Lots of good posts in this thread. We are basically Tennessee but with more money and bigger ego. Mack completely left this program in shambles and deficient in talent. We hired a "football coach" instead of a CEO with Strong. Strong is good at talent evaluation, and his strengths stop right there. He didn't bother to recruit until December and he cared more about being a good role model and father figure to his players than a football coach. That was a terrible football hire, he was probably 5th on our list of candidates that would even show up to an interview. Strong was probably fired too late and those 3 years of fighting for bowl eligibility took this program from mediocre under Brown to the gutter. I don't care what anyone says, the 3 years Strong was here was the worst football I've seen at Texas. We were getting blown out game after game in the first quarter and the team would give up. We had 5 scholarship OL one spring. We didn't even have enough OL to field a 2nd team in our spring game. Then we go on to Tom Herman. Herman, believe it or not, isn't a bad coach. He took a dumpster fire from Strong and made us at least competitive. He recruited well. His downfall was being a fucking douche and thinking he was the smartest guy in the room. He also had no idea how to develop players once they got here. As someone pointed out, look at those recruiting rankings and look at the elite talent that never was developed. There is a reason we have the lowest blue chip development of all power 5 programs. This program is where good players destroy their careers. Now we have Sark. A guy that has never proven to be an "elite head coach". He's one of the best offensive minds, but he has clear issues as a head coach. He's taken over a program that is fundamentally flawed, entitled, and lacks elite talent and depth. He knows this. We need an infusion of talent on this roster. We will not get this talent unless we show wins or we start paying them like UGA, aggy, Oregon, LSU, Bama does. Until we get them, we are at the talent level of TCU, okie state, Baylor. Firing Sark and company isn't going to fix this. This athletic department needs to look at themselves in the mirror and figure out if they only care about dollars or if they want a winning program. If they want a winning program and want to be competitive in the SEC and beat our rival, then we need to fundamentally change how this program is run from recruiting, to coaching, and to how entitled and coddled these players are. The fact that Jerrin Thompson is still playing meaningful downs after straight up giving up on tackles twice against ou that both resulted in long TD runs should tell you what we are... soft team with no depth.
  19. PK's resume and player development from the draft obviously speaks for itself. With that said, he hasn't exactly faced the coaches and offenses you see in the Big 12 like on a consistent basis like he did in the PAC 12. I understand the scheme. They want to create turnovers and limit teams to FGs and limit the big plays. His defense relies on the D line holding his blocks and letting the linebackers eat. The problem we're having is that we have a very talent and depth deficient LB room. Our team keeps giving up big plays when the entire defense is built to prevent that. Our edge defenders cannot hold up and we get absolutely get abused in the run game when they go outside. He needs to get way from what he is comfortable with and he needs to stop forcing this team into his scheme. I watched Keondre Coburn play very well the last 2 years. We're asking him to take on double teams and that is not his strength. We have plenty of talent on the interior D-Line. We should not be asking them to hold blocks and letting a weak position group try to make the plays. He needs to go to a 4 man front and ask our D-Line to to simply beat their blocks and get pressure. I really believe this defense would play a lot better. Right now, we can't get a pass rush with this 3 DL scheme... we are starting walkons and backup transfers from other programs at LB/Edge, and our Safeties are terrible. Right now his scheme is resulting in teams being able to run on us and because we can't get pressure, they're able to pass on us as well. I would go with a lineup of Collins- Coburn- Sweat- Ojomo. Any OL is going to have a tough time running on a big line up like that and Ojomo and Collins are athletic enough to get pressure. There's obviously no Joesph Ossai, but I bet you no LT wants to go up against Collins every play. Jett Bush should never see another snap. Ask your DL to simply play physical, collapse the pocket, and pray that your LBs and DBs can make the plays they need. When he can get the players needed for his scheme, go ahead and play this bend but don't break 3 DL scheme. But until then, he needs to figure out how to best utilize our personnel instead of forcing them into his scheme.
  20. His friend and former teammate is a walk-on at Texas. That's why he's hanging out with them... it's because he knows them.
  21. He didn't even opt out bro. His teammates and coaches kicked him off the team.
  22. Obviously the defense performed better. But when the game is on the fucking line, they collapsed. It sucks that they held up the whole game while the offense did jack shit, but when the game is on the line... you have to fucking pull through. 2 weeks in a row where they gave up the lead in the 4th quarter. This team is fundamentally flawed. We lack elite talent. The coaches are not putting the talent we have in the right positions on defense. I've come to terms that 2005 was a catching lighting in a bottle and I fully expect to wait another fucking 30 years before our next championship... hopefully I'm alive and not in the ground. Until we get another VY, we are what we are.
  23. Same bud. I stupidly bought at .95 and it's tanked. Just going to cut my losses and hope UUUU goes to the moon so I can recover my losses.
  24. You want to make a difference, stop giving money to this program. I stupidly came into town and bought tickets to support this team like I do every year. This athletic department only cares about dollars. Make it clear that us alumni will not support this bullshit. That’s when they will do whatever it takes to win.
