  1. Getting into the ACC was a bit surprising, but that was just money. I would NOT have expected to have wins over Clemson, FSU and Miami in your first 1.5 seasons in the league. I know the whole league is pretty mid, but still surreal
  2. Paltry crowd as SEC Nation gets underway outside Gregory Gym
  3. Own the Caldwell won the game comment, it was Futureman/Mike White level hilarious
  4. Wait, he flew (or was flown) to Athens, Ga. when they certainly could have done that by satellite. Would have been nice for ESPN to point out that Franklin and Saban are both repped by Jimmy Sexton, who is also on set per McAfee earlier. They basically just did a LinkedIn promo for Franklin on national TV
  5. You should hire her to modernize SurlyHorns.com. She definitely knows the lingo: "click click click click...takes like three minutes"
  6. Recently watched The Substance, and that video ^ is much more disturbing
  7. Perfect premise for Tim Robinson, waging war against a chair manufacturer. He's got a niche and I'm glad he keeps exploiting it
  8. Watch the end for ESPN Deportes with a mustard (mostaza) question lol
  9. Good luck then to the survivors. Tough week to not have GB available, though they almost blew it too. I had WAS but would've probably gone with DAL/PHI or some other loser anyway.
  10. Yeah I was like "your avatar reading your post" on that. Wish it were so
  11. Software don't lie...if it lets me keep picking, I'm in. Don't worry I'll botch it soon enough
  12. That was me with the Packers. I thought ties knocked you out, but I guess not
  13. If they go 0-2 vs Baylor and TCU that is a recruiting nightmare
  14. You're partly right - I'm thinking of Penn State damn near every game for the past decade, but also every other decent Big Ten team at some point, and us in the Cotton Bowl and yesterday. If we tried play action or something, Arch would have a defender wrapped around him before he picked his head up. Going grown ass man on them was probably the best strategy, but NOT in the form of a tush push with q QB who squats a-buck-eighty or whatever
  15. Every team that plays Ohio State close comes away bitching about red zone play calling. That's their trademark going back years, they seem to revel in getting pushed to the brink then they lock it down. I think it's why you so often see them on the score scroll beating some mediocre team 13-6 in the 3rd quarter before they pull away.
  16. Joined and Venmo'd
  17. Penn State is also going crazy soft with their non-conference. Zero P4 this year or next, then they have home-and-home with mighty Syracuse in 2027-28. Plus Ohio State cycles off their schedule in 2026 and 2027. They're gonna dare the committee to leave them out at 10-2.
  18. I love when "Only One Team" uses a headshot with a different team's cap on
  19. I recently finished "Dispatches" the 1977 book by Michael Herr (incredibly intense) and a lot of the dialogue in FMJ is word-for-word what he experienced covering the war. That includes the quotes above, "Hey little schoolgirl, I'm a little schoolboy too" and "No more boom-boom for this mama-san". Oh and a bunch of the "Come on board for the big win" conversation which is posted a little earlier. FMJ is more based on a different book, "The Short-Timers," but it draws a lot from Dispatches.
  20. Never thought I'd see TV on the Radio but they are back on tour. Played around 75 minutes, great energy still PXL_20250730_013649262.mp4
  21. ESPN "trying to find out what happened" when they have multiple field mics. The announcers kept talking over it when you could faintly hear the guys on field yelling
  22. Didn't know that, but yes George Clooney produced
  23. This was well done. Like the Larry Nassar story, it's shocking and infuriating how many victims piled up over so many years. Really courageous of the many athletes who sat down for painful interviews. The recent OSU administrations have continued to fight legal claims even as the school soars into the stratosphere of athletic and financial success. Jim Jordan is as awful as we already knew.
