  1. Fuck, sorry. I hate to be the first one to double-pick Give me Oregon @Derka
  2. Maryland @Derka
  3. High Point! @HornOnTheBayou
  4. Also posting the order here so we can remember who's next: Huckleberry, Precupice, Ztexas, Wulaw, Derka, Bartles, Horn on the Bayou, Zepol On round three now, so going this way with ztejas on the nonexistent clock -------->
  5. Thanks ztejas - I picked UNC/SDSU earlier so can you highlight that in the upper left bracket?
  6. Vanderbilt @Derka
  7. Carrie is such a great actress that her drunken rant about how good a lawyer she is made me legit sad for the evil Russian bros
  8. Zepol makes two picks, snake style Then back to Bayou etc
  9. Easy process, I'm in
  10. UNC/San Diego State @HornOnTheBayou
  11. I'm probably offline for the night, but with Bayou behind me it doesn't really matter. I'll be up early to get started
  12. I'm in - same Venmo as last year?
  13. Since Bayou picks seventh, we might as well start whenever Huckleberry is ready? I should be pretty on-line tomorrow but I know it helps to get things going whenever people are ready
  14. I'm happy to pick twice each round, but you may run out of teams at the end LOL
  15. Yeah, I was specifically looking for this right after selections because I've missed a couple of times. Maybe put "Two spots left" or whatever it is in the thread title?
  16. Joined and paid Venmo, thanks!
  17. I'm in for sure, done it a few times
  18. ^ Philly represent! I'm no longer infatuated with this game. Limits too high, never any women playing (just feels less sleazy and depressing with a mixed group), emergence of crapless tables. The individual bubble games give me my fix at whatever price I feel like, and I don't have to worry about idiots fucking up the rhythm of play or dealers confused by my (very normal) bets. I'll probably find myself back where I started, basic blackjack. It's easier to stomach $25 limits there, which usually means 3:2 BJ payouts.
  19. Probably been discussed, but do y'all ever "study" for this? Like my memory is pretty good, especially on Phillies & Rangers, but I admit to occasionally memorizing a guy like Edwin Jackson or LaTroy Hawkins just to get me through a few tough matches. Dudes who played on 3+ of the newer expansion teams really help too.
  20. Couple good ones on Max: Kevin Spacey: Unmasked has a bunch of new victims with explicit stories Who is Luigi Mangione: Short but thorough, gives voice to insurance industry critics without justifying the murder
  21. Main memory is his game at post-death SMU where they didn't throw a forward pass but ran like 90 plays
  22. Well she reconnected with her killer first chance she got, so I doubt she'd have been receptive of mom dropping in. Also the Moab cops, like many cops, see things as the abuser sees them so they can't process that maybe the woman is actually in trouble. Not sure you can train them to realize men lie to keep control, and women lie our of fear.
  23. Vedder was in the Saturday night concert, along with many others. Whole thing is on Peacock but a lot of individual stuff is on YouTube. I think I saw Hammond in the audience, maybe with an eye patch? Audience was fascinating. I couldn't tell if Kevin Costner was annoyed by being in so many shots, or if he was pretending to be annoyed.
  24. I've been four times, all different properties, over the last year. While I never wanted to be one of those "it ain't like it used to be" guys, I don't know what else to say. It used to be so fun to be at a craps table with a small bachelorette party or group of young soccer fans. Now it's bitter middle agers (myself included) without a woman under 40 in sight, even at the other table games. The bubble games are cheaper but not social. The sports books can still be fun given you don't have to wait in line thanks to the betting kiosks. And the asshole horse players can stay in their corner, not pushing through to make last-second bets. Flat screens are everywhere to buy a drink and watch games. To me, it seems like the conventions and major events are going to have to keep the fire burning out there. I'm lucky to get some work trips, otherwise it's a waste of my budget.
  25. Hell, the game ended on page 32, that's like the 5th post to make reference to Eagles football since
