Looks like we got Tramell Jones out of the weekend. Not bad.

Brian Kelly LSU Football: Corndogs, Corruption, and Cameramen (dead)
Last night was fun. It's been several rough years but each year we seem to have a game where The Swamp is at its best and it makes sitting through the rest seem worth while (my golf game is similar where I can expect one good hole per round). This year - LSU 2023 - Tennessee 2022 - Utah It's been great seeing fellow Gators continue to show up every home game and try to will the team to a win. I'm sure there's a local children't hospital with some extra cash.

https://ftw.usatoday.com/lists/college-football-coach-biggest-buyouts-contracts-2024 Buyout as of Dec. 1, 2024: $61,738,333 Kelly is #4 on the list of largest buyouts in college football. Surprisingly, Napier is way down at #26. Crazy that a $26.7 M buyout doesn't even crack the top 25 anymore.

Florida-Georgia in Jacksonville
Etienne's mom is upset that Florida tackled her boy. She even started texting Gator players about it.

I'm still not sure why Millen didn't play on Saturday. Wasn't he the 3rd string?

I can't believe that Vegas doesn't have more trust in our backup backup QB and his singing band of the walking wounded.

He's a PWO who transferred in from Yale. The only other QB we've got left is Clay Millen who is on his third stop after Colorado St and Nevada.

It's a good thing we're not calling it the Cocktail Party anymore. Cleared up all of that silly business right quick.

I remember trying to simulate SECCG scenarios in late October. But that was a long time ago.

I miss ilovelocalcommercials. I never was able to get into their other stuff after they stopped that channel.- SEC Catch-all Thread
Just wait until you see who was added to the Legends class from Oklahoma.- SEC Catch-all Thread
Alabama/Tennessee is the older and traditionally bigger rivalry. Actual historic winning percentage is similar, I think- SEC Catch-all Thread
That's fucking weird. I don't know a single gator who was pulling for Georgia this weekend.- Florida Gators
That's a lot of room temperature beer.- Realignment talk not going away
But the name is appropriate. They're going to come in, contribute nothing, and then profit off of it for decades.- Realignment talk not going away

It's like a train wreck but the trains are of the Lionel variety.- Florida Gators
Yeah, these refs suck. I guess the SEC should thank us for taking them instead of one of the games that matters this week.- Realignment talk not going away
Wouldn't that go against key aspects of The Alliance™?- Florida Gators
I agree that Golden looks good and we're trending in a positive direction, but he hasn't won anything yet. I didn't feel the need to mention every coach where the jury is still out.- Florida Gators
We're in the middle of a president search. Fuchs stepped down in 2022 and DeSantis forced in Sasse, a politician from Nebraska with almost no educational experience. He lasted 18 months before stepping down and they're now dealing with tens of millions of missing dollars that he apparently handed out to his friends. Fuchs is back in as an interim.- Florida Gators
Mullen was really bad at hiring assistants. He kept going to the well with some of the same guys that worked with him before, left and failed elsewhere. We found out later that it's just that he was really an unlikable person so the only people who would work with him were the same people who knew they could put up with him or had failed elsewhere and at least were going to get a better paycheck. I honestly don't know what we'll find out with Napier. He came in with the demand for an open checkbook, hired 100 staffers, but then just kept hiring friends from his wedding party as assistant coaches.- Florida Gators
The administration changed between #4 and #5. Jeremy Foley was considered one of the best ADs in the country and made a ton of great hires across the board in athletics and is a major reason why UF has the streak of 30+ years finishing in the top 10 in the all-sports rankings, though it could be argued that he never made a good one for football. Spurrier was one of the last hires that Arnsparger made before returning to the NFL, and it's arguable that Meyer's hire was directed and made happen by then-president, Bernie Machen who had just come from Utah the year before. Stricklin has been the AD since 2016 and he brought Mullen with him from Miss St. and of all of the hires, the only one that's been successful has been Nesty, our swimming coach. He's also made two spectacularly bad coaching hires in women's basketball and soccer. Both who not only never won, but were fired over abuse accusations. - SEC Catch-all Thread
