  1. I can't figure out why Floyd is still out there.
  2. Would have to be several rainouts. He couldn't pitch again until Wednesday.
  3. And he doesn't look to be getting tired. But if I understand the rules, he's done. He hit 110 pitches.
  4. We're very fortunate that it's close. Sproat struggled to find the zone and LSU was super patient. I've lost count of the number of times in Omaha that we've managed to get out of a bases loaded situation.
  5. I think it might be. During the regular season, I don't think it affects you much for your starters. It's a bigger deal for your closer since he has to sit a day if he goes over 25.
  6. Doubt Skenes will be available except for maybe a few innings in Gm #3 on Monday He has to sit a minimum of 3 days by NCAA rule since he pitched over 76 pitches.
  7. I've only gambled on UF once. It was during the Ron Zook era and we hadn't yet established that he was a equally capable of struggling against lesser opponents as he was beating better ones.
  8. It definitely different given the size of the field, but it's still the same argument. Example: In 2006, B1G proponents saying that UF wasn't even in Ohio State's league in 2006. After the game, they discounted the loss because UF shouldn't have been allowed to play in the game.
  9. You seem to be going straight from the B1G football playbook. Let's see, UF doesn't get credit for playing Miami and FSU because they are in state. Goes right there with SEC teams only won because they were allowed to play in the games. If they had been kept out of the BCS/Playoffs/Omaha they wouldn't nearly win as much.
  10. Sure, but UF hit two shots in the top half of the inning that would have been Homeruns based on your newly moved goalposts.
  11. Florida came in as the 7 seed and advanced by beating Big 12 Champ and 3 seed Nebraska. Also, Rice didn't make it to the CWS that year.
  12. We haven't played LSU this year.
  13. Really depends on if we get to game 3. Even on 3 days rest and 240 pitches in 8 days, Skenes is more dangerous right now than Cags on the mound.
  14. I will never buy milk from this whistling company.
  15. From a strategy perspective, I recommend both schools putting in their Friday or Saturday starter in now to make sure.
  16. I'm streaming so I just keep getting some annoying dairy commercial involving whistling.
  17. We're not in the finals yet. This is the semifinals and would follow the tournament rules. But you answered the question about this weekend. Wake-Florida-Wake or Florida-LSU-Florida
  18. You sure? I didn't think they got to a coin flip until they have an equal number of home and aways. Heading into tonight, Wake was H-H-A, and LSU was H-A-A-H, meaning LSU would host by Rule 2.
  19. Didn't it actually disappear in the middle of one of the NCAA tournaments? Like the strikezone was so bad one game, a decision was passed down overnight to remove it from broadcasts for the rest of the tournament?
  20. The biggest hit seems to be vacating Football wins from 2012-2015 because of the ineligible player who's dad was getting paid by the booster that was stealing money from the children's hospital. Other punishments like a bowl ban were useless, since the investigation took 4 years, LSU was able self impose it when they wanted to, skipping 2019 when they were winning it all, and instead waiting until 2020 and apply it to a team with a .500 record. Basketball punishment followed the coach to McNeese even though LSU chose to let him continue to coach after knowing he was cheating.
  21. My understanding is that live, the official never bothered to called obstruction, since he called the runner safe. So when the review showed his foot came off, that was it. You can't apparently call obstruction on review.
  22. And now UF is locked in to finish ahead of them in the Directors Cup.

    Florida Gators

Just luck of the draw. We've been scheduling Miami a couple of times per decade once they went to the 12 game schedule. This 2 game series was announced back in 2019 just before we played them in Orlando. UCF had been trying to get us back on the schedule for awhile but there was a lot of sniping back and forth. They actually bailed the last time we were supposed to play in 2007. We had just curb stomped them the year before and they skipped out on the game, and ended up scheduling Texas to fill the gap at their new stadium. Then the UCF AD refused to play Florida unless it was a home and home. He went so far as to make some wild claims about UF demanding they play in the Citrus Bowl. Sunshine act showed that it was total bullshit, he ran off to Tennessee, leaving a lot of holes in UCF's schedule to be filled. The new AD pretty quickly agreed to a 3 game series with UF but it's spread out over a decade. 2024 in Gainesville 2030 in Orlando 2033 in Gainesville Stricklin has actually been going pretty crazy with the scheduling. It'll make for some great ticket sales, but challenging schedules. We've got several 11 and 12 P5 game seasons coming up.
