2025 GOLF: I don't think the heavy stuff's gonna come down for quite a while
CPO is a great place to buy preowned clubs. If he hurries, they still may have Cyber Monday pricing. BF and Cyber Monday's are the lowest prices of the year.

2025 GOLF: I don't think the heavy stuff's gonna come down for quite a while
When my daughter was starting, I bought her a cheap set of Strata beginners clubs. Basically cheap ass driver, hybrids, cavity back irons, shitty ass putter, and carry bag. I think I spent $200 for the set including bag. In hindsight, I wish I would've used that $200 on "nicer" set. After a year, I built/bought her a better set, and now the shitty Strata set is just sitting in the garage. Sooooo, get him a decent cavity back iron set. Used TM Rocketbladez, older set of named Callaway releases like Rogue, Cobra, etc. Cavity back is cavity back. Weight low and back to help get the ball up. Get cast irons, and not forged. He'll tear up the forged clubs. Then get some older hybrids. Hybrids haven't improved much. I still game a 2014 4H from Adams. Then get him a 5-6 year old driver. Something with a Max name is good because it'll be forgiving (read, spinny to help him get the ball up and reduce the slice). If buying off ebay, I'd stay away from anything used from TM, Ping, and Titleist. There are a shitton of fake clubs from those brands. Callaway, Srixon, Cleveland don't seem to have a problem of fake clubs on ebay. eBay is the cheapest route. I buy and sell clubs on eBay all the time.

What the fuck is wrong with you, Austin?
The balcony is connected to the living room. It was only 1AM. I imagine most of the people were in the living room and maybe some were on the balcony. Only people in the rooms were the people fucking.

What the fuck is wrong with you, Austin?
This is the part that I can't get past. Supposedly this happened with 15 people in the apartment. If something nefarious happened, I find it extremely difficult for all 15 to perpetuate and keep a lie. At UT, both my girls knew friends who committed suicide. One was at Rio, the same apartment this happened. They showed signs of depression but none of the friends thought that the guys would ever commit suicide. I'm not ruling out foul play but IMO that would mean there's someone psychotic enough to pick someone up and throw her over a balcony and there are 14 other people who would lie to hide the murder.

Fishing Megathread: Looking For Big Girls Who swallow
I haven't fished the flats in a year. Been watching a lot of Texas coast fishing YT videos. From those videos and from what I caught a few weeks ago, the trout are doing REALLY well. I caught a fat 25" trout who was mixed in with the reds slamming the baitfish along the grass lines. I caught another fat 23" trout casting to pot holes. Caught an easy limit of slot trout and probably ten more dinks and slots. Also caught an limit of reds. This was all within 3 hours of fishing on a mixed mud, shell, grass flat. Sooo, it looks like the slot and 3 fish limit is working really well for trout. I would love to see them increase the bag limit to 4-5 per day but keep the slot limit.

Austin Airport Parking
I loved FastPark until 2021. The had no shuttle drivers. I'd wait for 20 mins and see 3 or 4 competitors' shuttles. I moved to Park and Zoom. That and traveling for work, I rack up "points" to use for personal travel.

What is Amazon doing with your Data?
Amazon: We'll monetize your data and pay you back with cancer. What a time to be alive. https://www.techspot.com/news/110442-amazon-data-centers-linked-rare-cancers-miscarriages-oregon.html Amazon data center linked to rare cancers and miscarriages in Oregon, report warns Connecting the dots: The environmental damage caused by data centers could be having a greater impact on people's health than we realized. According to a new report, several of Amazon's facilities in Oregon have contributed to a rise in rare cancers, muscle disorders, and miscarriages among nearby residents. The Lower Umatilla Basin aquifer in Morrow County, Oregon, is the only source of water for up to 45,000 residents, reports Rolling Stone. But samples from the aquifer show that chemical toxins have increased over the years. Nitrate concentrations in some wells have been found as high as 73 ppm (parts per million), 10 times the state limit of 7 ppm and seven times the federal limit. It was discovered that 68 of the 70 wells in the area violated the federal limit for nitrates in the drinking water. Jim Doherty, a cattle rancher and former county commissioner of Morrow County, told the publication that he noticed more people in the area were reporting unexplained medical conditions, including cancers that usually affected the elderly. Doherty said that of the first 30 homes he visited where residents were reliant on well water, around 25 people had recently had miscarriages, while six had lost kidneys. There was also a 60-year-old who had his voice box taken out because of a smoking-related cancer, but he'd never smoked in his life. Doherty believed that the rise in these cancers was in part due to several massive farms and food processing plants in Morrow County. But some experts say the arrival of a 10,000-square-foot Amazon data center in 2011 "supercharged" the pollution. The farms pump out millions of gallons of wastewater loaded with nitrates from the fertilizer, with most of it seeping into the ground. Amazon's arrival in the region has intensified an already-serious environmental problem. The company's data centers draw tens of millions of gallons of groundwater from the aquifer each year to cool their servers. That water is then discharged into the Port's wastewater system, where it mixes with existing nitrate-laden runoff that's already being pumped onto nearby farmland. Because the soil in the area is highly porous, it quickly becomes oversaturated, allowing even more nitrates to seep downward into the aquifer instead of being absorbed. The issue compounds when Amazon extracts that same contaminated groundwater – already above federal nitrate limits – for its cooling systems. As the water circulates through the data centers, some of it evaporates, but the nitrates don't, resulting in a higher concentration of pollutants. By the time this used water is routed back into the wastewater system, nitrate levels can spike dramatically, in some cases averaging 56 parts per million – roughly eight times higher than Oregon's safety threshold.

Unfortunately this is not true. Austin citizens have to deal with the consequences of his bullshit all the time. Travis County title transfer office is fucking awesome. It's clean and, more importantly, not a shitshow. I had to go there a month ago. Walked up, talked to a dude, he gave very clear instructions and was extremely helpful. Gave us forms to fill out and sign. Took our info to get in a queue. Supposed to take 30 mins. 10 mins later, got called to a desk. Filled out forms. Given new plates. Took 5 mins. Only complain I have is that there are no chairs to sit on when conducting the transfer business. But it only took 5 mins so no biggie.- Epstein and Maxwell
