  1. Wait until your read all the threads on all the boards!!!!
  2. I would be interested to see the play designs and calls for when Arch played last year. I'm thinking/hoping that Sark simplified the offense and calls to make easy reads and throws, like what he did in the 4th against MSU. If he does that, Caldwell should do fine and then we'll have a QB controversy because people won't know that much of this year, Arch was not set up to succeed, granted he sucked the various times where he could've made good decisions and throws.
  3. Congrats to us, we got or almost got a guy everyone wanted. Again, how'd that turn out? Except for tOSU and maybe Bama after Saban, every school wanders the desert of shittiness for awhile until they get lucky with a coach.
  4. LOL. Besides Mack and Sark, how many coaches has Texas had since Royal? How did they fare? Sark was an OC from Bama. Let's not act like our swinging dick can get anyone we want and that person will take over without skipping a beat. History says otherwise.
  5. Not if your cult are absolute fucking idiots. As long as you hate the right people, you could be Hitler. Oh wait...
  6. This was the entire Kentucky game. Anyway there are numerous other threads to Sark's idiocy this year. We are all in the same boat, the SS Hope.
  7. Sounds like he needs a $1T pay package. https://www.cnbc.com/2025/10/27/tesla-musk-pay-shareholder-vote.html Shareholders must vote to pay Tesla CEO Elon Musk almost $1 trillion, or he might not stay, Board Chair Robyn Denholm warned in a letter Monday. “Without Elon, Tesla could lose significant value, as our company may no longer be valued for what we aim to become,” Denholm wrote ahead of Tesla’s annual meeting on Nov. 6. The shareholder vote for Musk’s pay and other proposals closes at 11:59 p.m. ET on Nov. 5. Musk is key to the future of the EV maker as it moves beyond being “just another car company,” with a bigger focus on Full Self Driving and Optimus, Denholm argued. Several groups have publicly opposed the pay package in recent days, with Institutional Shareholder Services, the biggest proxy advisory firm in the world, recommending against its “astronomical” value. Last week, a group of unions and corporate watchdogs launched the Take Back Tesla website to oppose the pay package, noting Musk’s embracing of right-wing political movements and amplifying of conspiracy theories that have damaged the brand. Musk lashed out at proxy firms as “corporate terrorists” on a post-earnings call with analysts last week.
  8. I dig what Cig is doing at IU. But Cig, DeBoer are the exceptions. For every Sig, there's probably 20 or more forgetful names who sucked.
  9. and the replacement for Texas is? This is NOT the year to join the let's find a head coach lottery. Way too many vacancies and only 2 or 3 viable candidates.
  10. Timestamped. Sometimes the schemes and play call are just stupid. This is just one of many examples pointed out this season. Caldwell would've had the exact same results. There simply is no one to pass to. As I said in another thread, here's to hoping Sark checks his ego and starts calling plays for the situations.
  11. As a proud parent of 2 recent Texas grads, I feel your pain. I had to relive it when my eldest was applying to medical schools. Shit is fucking crazy now.
  12. Mack won because Vince. Ed won because Burrow. Chizik because with Cam. There are only a handful of coaches who won because they are fucking amazing coaches. Saban, old Carroll, and anyone who who coaches at tOSU are the only few who fit that category. Luck seems to be just as important as coaching acumen.
  13. So Joey McGuire...
  14. Schemes and playcalling matter. If Caldwell is getting blitzed on plays where all receivers are running 15-20 yard routes, he too will struggle.
  15. Louisiana is going to make what Putin is doing to Ukrainian hospitals seem like child's play.
  16. I thought I saw him yell at Simmons??? (may have been someone else) when Simmons almost jumped offsides late in the 4th. Looks like they were having words when the camera cut away.
  17. Kirk Ferentz laughs at the insanity of this shit. He has this shit figured out. Don't coach at a place with lofty expectations. Don't EVER win anything to raise the bar of what's expected of you. Win just enough to keep your fanbase hopeful, but not too hopeful.
  18. I have no doubt that Sark was/is looking to leave. I think he thought he could coast this year (based on how well his team looked the last 2 years), looked at his roster and especially with how Arch played last year, have another great year, and then leave a hero. He mailed it in during the off season because arrogance got the best of him. He's to hoping the huge ass piece of humble pie gets his ego knocked down a few pegs, and he gets his shit together for himself and the program.
  19. I'll go against the internet mob mentality and say that I don't want Sark to leave. I'm hoping the absolute turmoil of this season (some, probably most, of it his own making) turns him into a better person and coach. I'm hoping he can self reflect and make the changes required of him both personally and professionally.
  20. We fired Mack. I would bet most NC winning coaches got fired. Saban and Urban are the only 2 I can remember who "moved on" on their own. Well, Urban was kinda forced to move on because he had a killer on his roster.
