  1. And Dabo's no-NIL/no-portal approach to recruiting is the only one they can afford right now.
  2. So over the course of Jimbo's 25 year career, he's been paid just short of $78M to coach. Now the Aggies are paying his $76M to GTFO and retire.
  3. How many HC/coordinators' agents are calling Thamel to ask for a favor right now? That man probably turned his phone off hours ago.
  4. Come on. Based on what? I didn't see a severe hyperextension. Let's hope it's a mild sprain until the Monday presser
  5. Baxter, Blu and the rest of the crew got this.
  6. I'm just glad when I see these posted, bc when I see them live I start to doubt reality.
  7. I know, right? I'm usually bitching about X pulling that move.
  8. Shit. I thought some of you bitches on this thread had a crystal ball or my game feed was 5 minutes behind. We held them. Yall fuckin' chill with the hyper negativity.
  9. Not sure if this has been said already, but Quinn looks like he doesn't want to be touched tonight.
  10. Having done my graduate work at that University I can confirm both the ridiculously distracting level of talent on campus and also the staggering level of stupidity on that campus. Students from Arizona are far outnumbered by rejects of the Cal and Texas programs. I couldn't tell you how many unreadable, incoherent essays I came across while grading for 3rd and 4th year classes. And these were students in communication science and linguistics courses.
  11. I posted about it in the game week thread but sarks response to fuck-you-Chip Brown was great.
  12. All the guys returning from injury is great news, but I'd like to reinterpret my favorite moment from the press conference today: FCB: oh is it my turn? let me take this dick out of my mouth. Coach sark, U of H and K-State really gave it to you in the passing game. TCU is the best pass offense in the world. Do you think the defense is going to lose this one for us? Sark: How many rushing yards did those teams have? /puts on gangsta shades/ FCB: Oh let me check... Sark: Shut the fuck up, next question.
  13. I was coming here to say the same thing after I heard the news about Quinn. MM was ready to play and showed up with confidence when we needed him. I think he showed the talent to be something great, but also demonstrated that experience has a lot to say about it. I hope he sticks around to fight for a spot in the QB room, but he'll be great wherever he lands.
  14. I'd be happy with another stretch like Mack's, but can we trade the embarrassing losses to OU for some disappointing early non-conference losses? And here I'm probably asking too much of a guy after a dominant 10-yr stretch, but maybe GTFO before your arrogance sours the whole program.
  15. That's so funny you say that. The chili I submitted in the story above could be described as a Southwestern Curry. I went heavy on the cumin, added some cinnamon and clove, and finished it with a heaping spoon of peanut butter. To me it was very outside the box and something that would stand out in a chili cook-off. Little did I know someone would have the balls to call pureed chicken Verde enchiladas a pot of chili.
  16. I like a little sweetness in my chili too but I add finely grated carrot when I'm sweating my onions.
  17. I think the posters in this thread are biased. Out of 30 posts there are 21 unique sarcastic memes. The other "biased ref" thread has fewer dicks in it by multiple orders of magnitude. I would recommend we all go post over there to get away from all this biased negativity.
  18. For someone that doesn't follow recruiting super closely, what's the issue with North Shore?
  19. To clarify, I was saying that I felt frustrated by the frequency of that soft coverage, from that score through the end of the game. I've already posted again about the specific play that was on my mind.
  20. Well, no. If we are in a zone D, and every single DB and LB is at least 10-15 yards off the LOS, that's an alignment problem. I went back and found the play. It was 4th and 6 in the last minute of the game. (I might have been drinking, so my recount above isn't perfect.) The D is in Zone, all at least 15 deep and the receive runs a 15-yd curl right in front of them all... on 4th and 6!
  21. After we scored to make it 27 7 I feel like I spent the rest of the game screaming at our corners because coach PK was calling that 15 yard cushion on the edges. I remember getting all excited during one play because we were lined up in press coverage. I thought "he's finally learned his lesson!", only to watch our corner sprint out just before the snap, giving a 15 yard cushion. The slot receiver ran right under that cushion and made it 10 yard gain for a first down.
  22. They could easily be 0-5 in SEC play and staring down LSU, Mizz and UT. Crap, can you imagine ending the year with an Aggie team winless in SEC play? They'd show up to our first match up in 12 yrs like a pack of blood thirsty meth heads.
  23. Can I derail the conversation for a sec to discuss X's effort? The 2nd pass in that clip is overthrown undoubtedly, but to me it also typifies a class of plays that demo a lack of effort from X. If that same pass were thrown to AD, I believe we'd see a diving attempt at a catch - and he might catch a not insignificant portion of them. X is fast and elusive. He gets wide open a lot, but he doesn't seem to extend his effective reach much at all. If a QB doesn't hit him within arms' reach X seems to put out little effort to stretch for an errant pass or to fight through a defender on and underthrown pass. Not saying X should catch all of these, but I'd love to see him make a stronger effort when the catch is in doubt. Maybe he'd have more highlight reel stunners on his resume.
