Which lake?
Lake Waco and all of them in Central Texas except Lake Whitney

We got nearly 2 inches in about an hour last night. Biggest rain event at my house in almost 2years.
I got 1.5 inches last night. We need the rain real bad as the lake is LOW! -
Send the rain to Perry. I got s couple of tanks thst went dry last year that need more runoff.
We must be neighbors! My brother was out at the ranch and said we lost power tonight. -
Anyone else doing a double-take hearing the ATP students using their new callsign "Career Track"? Is it common for big box flight schools to create a callsign? Thrust does it here at Addison but I hadn't heard any other schools in the area doing it. Always wondered if they have it placarded or how else they remember their flight #.
I hear it all the time! Just use the dang tail number like everyone else flying GA. -

Where does everyone store there pool chemicals? I have had mine in the garage but recently realized this isn't a great idea!

Have you looked at Jenn Air? They have a pretty solid lineup. Other than that you can't go wrong with Thermador or Miele.

Roatan or Mahogany Bay? If sailing a Carnival brand (Carnival/Princess), you'll go to Mahogany Bay (their private port area) and there's a beach where you can just hang out if you want. It will be crowded. If another line, then the west end is where most tourists go. Or just book an excursion doing something that sounds fun.
There's always something for snorkeling on a catamaran with lunch. They'll take you out, snorkel for 45 minutes and then each some local food while the drinks flow. It's hard not to have a good time drinking on a boat.
Roatan...we are going on a Royal Caribbean boat! I'm trying to get away from the gen pop on this boat. Helicopter to a private island would be great! -
Prayers.
Roatan is a divers haven. I can tell you that the prices go up when the cruise ship is in town. We've stayed on West Bay Beach a couple of times. Iron Shore Grill is the best restaurant on the beach if you want to get lunch. The rest is all basically bar food. If you have a car or driver Cal's Cantina has fantastic food. Cal lacks in personality but the man can cook.
I've been on a diving trip 20+ years ago. From what I recall the west end of the island was where the more upscale places were.
I just want the hell away from this cesspool of people on the ship. A nice local bar/restaurant on the beach sounds great! -
Heading to Roatan on a cruise ship. What the heck do you do for a day to get away from all these crazy people on a ship?

What’s the insurance difference? And does that matter? How many hours do you have?
I walked on the 182. There is a pretty good chance that it was flooded during a hurricane back in 2017.
I checked insurance today on the 250 and it came out to a little over 6K. While steep this was expected. I think I have a spot secured in a hangar which will help drop the premium.
I'm only at 115 hours. My plan is to try and fly 75-100 hours and get my instrument rating this year. Both of those should help out with the insurance at renewal. -
I'm about to go under contract on a Comanche 250. Happy but at the same time nervous as hell buying a Time Machine! Being a first time buyer trying to navigate this market is a bit overwhelming.
There was a 182P that I was trying to buy a few weeks ago that the seller got cold feet. I woke up this morning to a text message saying he is willing to sell and to come take a look this weekend if I’m still interested. Now i’m torn on what to do. -

If you’re looking at a single, I’d look hard at an F33. So good.
182RG and even a 177RG will fill that role.
231 would be nice but cramped and that have that hot start issue.
What are your thoughts on the v tails? -
Nice!
What’s your budget and mission?
Looking to spend around $150-200K. Mission is 4 of us and mainly going to NW Florida from Texas.....roughly 575nm. Ideally would like to find a partner as the plane would only be flown a few times monthly. -
Finally got my ticket last week! Now on to instrument and finding a plane in this market.

Barnett up on Spring Mountain is really good and has a killer view of the valley.
Was out there a few years back. Father in law rented a house right next to Barnett for my sis in laws wedding. That drive into town or back up was an adventure!- 2

There are two types of concrete.
1. That that has cracked
2. That that will crack.
In all seriousness that isn't bad at all. I would ask for them to replace the coping.- 2
