  1. This is a good point. He's absolutely owed money. He helped build the band, the brand, and the songs he's a 25% owner in is a reason why people are paying to see them play now. But 25%? Seems a little steep. My guess is the other guys aren't looking to cut in the replacement guitarist for 25% of the tour. 5% seems like not enough. Kickstart my Heart anyone?
  2. Re: Crown and Anchor, I don't live anywhere close to there and haven't been in I don't know how long. Has anything changed? Can't imagine Dervin is still around is he? Used to see him at Texas Showdown (his girlfriend was bartender IIRC) and then would run into them at C-Hunts and split a bucket on occasion. He was good people.
  3. Reminds me of a debate I had with my BIL about 10 years ago while we were swimming at my in-laws house. His little boy jumped off the diving board over my BIL's head and spun clockwise. I don't even remember how the term "clockwise" got brought up, but my BIL proceeded to insist that the spin was counterclockwise because from his POV it was counterclockwise. Basically his argument is there is no clockwise or counterclockwise because everything is dependent on POV. I asked him if he stands behind a clock, does that mean the hands actually move counterclockwise. "yes". So the Earth's rotation of clockwise vs counterclockwise is dependent on if you're looking at it from the North Pole or South pole? Yes. this went on for AT LEAST 15 minutes. At the end, I was like One of us brings it up as a joke every couple of years, and the debate starts all over again for about 1 minute, then the rest of the family yells at us to shut up. Good times.
  4. I think it was more a comment that your post looked like it was edited by Ketch
  5. Wife got pulled over driving back from San Antonio this afternoon. The reason? For changing lanes too often. She claims it was twice. Once because she and the cop were riding directly next to each other for like 2 miles and it made her nervous. And the next time because the car in front of her slowed way down so she moved back over. He took her license and insurance, went back to his car, and then returned with a warning. He said, "I have to give you an official warning for racial profiling purposes." And then turned and left. She's white. The only way I can take that is they have to make it look like they don't racial profile by randomly pulling over white people and then documenting it. LOL. Thanks for officially admitting to what we already know.
  6. This is the 2nd day in a row I glanced at the topics and read it wrong.
  7. What a great pic. Tim Donaghy, busted for betting on games he officiated, standing next to notorious gambler MJ, which conspiracy theorists speculate was the real reason for his first "retirement" (aka suspension).
  8. Laredo Taco Company? j/k. Kinda
  9. I mean, how is that different than the previous 20 years? She's always been short, stocky, and unattractive.
  10. I see it being something like he following: TX, OU, Arky, Mizzou Aggy, LSU, Ole Miss, Miss St Bama, Auburn, Tenn, Vandy UGA, Florida, USC, Kentucky There are too many rivalries to get everyone in the same division. But I think the following are priorities: TX/OU, Miss schools, Bama/Auburn, Florida/Georgia Once you start with those "truths", you back into the rest of it through geography as well as historical relevance in football. Swapping Aggy for Mizzou does make a "360 degrees of hate" division, but then creates a dogshit division of Mizzou, Miss schools, and LSU. I don't see that happening.
  11. It doesn't matter if they can't keep the QB upright. And last I checked their OL isn't very good. Losing Achane is going to sting as well. He could make good yards out of nothing (i.e. their OL sucks). They better hope the young RBs can do the same.
  12. Well now I can't see anything else. What is it suppose to be? A girl sucking on a tit?
  13. Cochinita Pibil is pretty freaking easy, but requires some planning. I found this carnitas recipe years ago in Edible Austin. Did it for a birthday party when my first son was really young and I wanted something that was low maintenance, tasted good, and would feed a bunch of people. It was a big hit. I've done it a few times since then. I just do it in a dutch oven on the stove. I also trim the fat a bit or else you get a very think layer of oil on top while it cooks. https://edibleaustin.com/recipes/jack-gilmores-everything-we-need-right-here-carnitas/
  14. Have your wife ask mine about our trip. Pretty sure we have detailed notes about everything we did. We went February 2020 for our 15th anniversary literally as COVID was becoming a thing. The difference in airport questioning from entering to leaving was night and day different. I think they shut NZ down like 2 weeks after we got back. Our long leg was ANZ from IAH-->AKL. Then a quick trip down to Christchurch. We were exclusively on the south island. It was amazing.
  15. Do they not have a "Find My Tiny Radioactive Capsule" app? It's 2023 for fuck's sake.
  16. I peeked in on texags for the first time in likely 5-6 years. I'm loving the comments like "if true, he should be held accountable." Ya think? That's really big of you.
  17. I root for the demise and constant failure of Aggy athletics, but not like this. Fucking hell. How hard is it to not rape someone? Allegedly.
  18. I've actually had the thought that I don't see a distinct difference in decades for the 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s. I mean, there are plenty of new influences, like smart phones, which may be the single most influential invention of the past 70 years, but I'm talking about style, music, etc. 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s were totally distinct. But the 2000's all just kinda run together IMO. Maybe because I was finished with college in 2000 and somehow being an "adult" makes me less able to see the differences because I'm less influences by them? I feel like I could listen to a song or see a photo from 1950 though 1999 and be able to tell you the decade, even if it was new to me. Absolutely not true from 2000-2023. I'd say "2000s".
  19. Great reference, but it's Magnus Ver Magnusson I definitely watched too many WSM contests back in the day.
  20. SIAP I'm not sure I can say it's better than the original, because the original is so iconic, but this version makes the hair on the arms stand straight up.
