  1. To get this back on track with affordable watches. Austin's own DuFrane Watch Company. This is the Mabry.
  2. Nicholas Hacko MkII. The orange is a limited series. 10 released the first year (last year), 9 this year, then, 8, etc. 55 total pieces. Not sure if any of the allocation this year is remaining. They have some other colors as well. Case, dial and hands are all titanium, so the guilloché on the dial and the feathering on the hands is incredibly difficult. I'm actually going to New York this week for an dinner at the NY Histological Society. Josh Hacko, Bradley Taylor, and Josh Shapiro will be there. Should be an amazing event. And on the Ostrich strap.
  3. The new Selten moon phase looks incredible, especially the guilloché MOP which I've never seen before. I think he's sending it to me to photograph so I'll post when I get it. Will probably be sold out by then. Definitely with checking out.
  4. Mine was approved yesterday. Derecho and Beryl finished off my trees. Bring it on.
  5. Also, as a heads up, Austin's own Trafford Watch Company is launching a new Capitol Edition colorway for the Crossroads in a couple hours. Well probably sell out pretty quick... His popularity exploded after Kevin O'Leary picked the Crossroads as his favorite microbrand on Teddy Baldassarre's channel a could months ago. I have the Mockingbird but I like the white dial on the Capitol edition. Not buying it though.
  6. Agreed
  7. Brisket scramble. Roegel's delivers due Houston area BBQ.
  8. I've got the 369 Terra Brass on order. Right call because I really like the lume on most of the other models but don't like the white hands. I also have one of the original 528s. Betina is really friendly and a very talented designer. The Selten is great. I have photographed the Aventurine and almost bought one. Fantastic watch. I have the diver, but wish I had give with the green dial rather than the blue. I know someone selling their Meteorite if they haven't already. Caution though, they are selling it because it's hard to read with the hands against the Meteorite. I can ask if they still have it if you're interested. I think it's in like new condition. For an interesting shaped case, the Trafforx is an option. Made in Austin, he's requesting a new version on the 16th. Looks good. With the bracelet it has a bit of a Brew Metric vibe. Nathan is a good guy. I also really like the DuFrane Mabry. He's in Austin also.
  9. I really like these but I liked the Maen Manhattan Ultrathin more. But it's more expensive and I'm not really buying anything right now. Still have a few coming in I have to pay for.
  10. To be fair, I should have posted my earlier watch in the other thread. Here's an affordable watch. Definitely cool vintage Seiko styling.
  11. This year's GameDay watch. I sometimes have it on a sand colored ostrich.
  12. Apparently this kid is starting to pick up offers but only just started playing. Tobi Haastrup. Track guy but 6'4", 225 pounds. First varsity game had 7 tackles and 5 sacks.
  13. Over inflated sense of self importance combined with cognitive dissonance, a lack of self awareness, lack of critical thinking skills culture driven groupthink, and Q-minded inclination to conspiracies. They'll never figure out it.
  14. Wow, refs getting paid.
  15. Interestingly, I heard last night that in his writings they found in his room, he was upset about the increased acceptance of trans people among other things. Seeing his photo and knowing that, as well as hearing about what appears to be two horrific parents, it's an interesting dynamic. A loving home and supportive family who was willing to get the mental help he needed would have likely prevented this. Instead, his dad gave him a gun. I'm not going to speculate beyond that.
  16. This sucks. I didn't own one but they were one of the early brands and I've never heard anything but good things. The microbrand space is incredibly crowded now. I bet we see a lot of them start to fade away in the next few years.
  17. That 4 iron into the par 3 immediately after the shank was absolutely nuts.
  18. Even better is that it's because he talks like a black person and black people have a culture of being awestruck by magic tricks (read: dumb). And being stoners. It's fucking amazing to read.
  19. Makes sense and I'll give it a try. Using the Tetsu method the water is 93C initially then reduced to 73C. Seems that may not be the best method here to extract some of the other flavors. Thank you!
  20. Looks like they are one step from replacing the W in Wiggy with an N. JC these people are fucking amazing.
  21. And then there's this.
  22. The anti-fatrick. Good on him and he visited 7 of the last 9 holes so I like to think the golf gods smiled on him. He was knocking everything about 3 feet coming in.
  23. This girl in the women's tournament has birdied the first 7 holes. Not a bad start. 54 alert.
  24. I don't think I've ever used the term goober, at least not since I was about 9 years old. But it really is the best term for aggies.
  25. I am so looking forward to the NDAgDad post talking about how he went to Notre Dame but he couldn't understand why his daughter decided to go to Texas A&M. Now he gets it and wishes he had gone to A&M too instead of ND after witnessing the most amazing atmosphere unlike anything else in the history of college football. Tradition far exceeding that of any school, including his alma mater. The friendliest people who saved the family from a burning car and drove them to the stadium and then took the family dog to the best veterinary school in the world to save it from terminal cancer. It's time to soothe the BAS pain with a good old fashioned "We're just better people post." I imagine Liucci is drafting it right now. Calm the masses Liucci, it's time to calm and distract the masses. They are restless.
