  1. It was my daughter, I just changed the dashboard display so it didn't show the speed. She was calling me or because I was bitching about people going 60 in a 70 zone.
  2. I changed the dashboard setting so it didn't show the speed. The 2020 550i adds about 70 hp so it's about 520hp. Plan on ordering one this week. For 90k or so I don't think I can beat it. The M is amazing but not worth the premium.
  3. Probably going with a 550i. Nice discount off the M and plenty fast. I still have young kids, so I'll save the M/Porsche life for when they are in college. I got called out for 73 in a 70 today.
  4. Also found a 2019 M5 with low miles on CarMax for $90k. I'm thinking CarMax used may be the best option if they offer a full warranty.
  5. I did find a 2018 with low miles for $97k on CarFax. How do warranties work buying it through dealers on CarFax from some place where the actual dealer is out of state?
  6. True, but once the 2020s come out, I bet a 2019 can be had for a little less than $100k. Listed at $102k which is quite a bit different than $126k.
  7. Starting at $126k. Trying to keep it at $100k. I always kind of figured buying a used sports car was a bad idea - no telling how hard it was driven.
  8. I haven't decided on anything. The Q8 is very sharp looking. It would be my car but my wife prefers riding a little higher so if she ever had to drive it she'd like that over a sedan. I have an A6 now and she hates driving it. Plus SUVs have a little extra space to carry kids/equipment/etc. (Not really the X6, so won't be looking at that) I'd probably choose an S6/S7 or M5. Porsche and Mercedes seem to be up well above $100k. I also have to go to job sites/clients offices some times and rolling up in a $125k+ Porsche doesn't always play well. Open to suggestions.
  9. So new shit has come to light. I may be getting a new car as well. I'd like to keep it short of 100k. Considering a truck, but never had one so not sure that's where I'll end up. Also looking at a sports SUV. The Audi Q8/SQ8 seems appealing although the S hasn't been released yet. Maybe an BMW 6X M. Seems like the AMG63 GLS may be out of my price range. Could also just go with an S6 or S7 as well. Wasn't really considering buying anything for at least a year but open to suggestions.
  10. My Pixel 3 is the biggest piece of shit I've ever bought. Chose it because of that fucking Bixby button, but I made the wrong choice. Loved all about the LG, but it wasn't perfect. May try the Samsung again in a couple of months.
  11. Not cheap but I bought a chiller and it's awesome. I don't enjoy a pool at 90+ so it was either spend the money or know I'm basically not going to use the pool from July through September. Exactly when I need it the most. I want to say it was about 3.5k installed. It's an Aquacool or something like that. If you're interested PM me and I'll send you the exact name.
  12. Went with the Platinum Expedition. Whether real or perceived, knowing the lower HP and CCD meant both of us could tell a small difference. Any recommendations for aftermarket wheels? My wife doesn't care but I'm considering putting some on. Looking for something a little more off-road looking but not flashy. I like the X D 778 Monster in a matte black but there are just too many options out there.
  13. Badass, congrats to DF. Gets to go to the Open now and has a 2 year exemption.
  14. Sounds like I need to clear it with the dealer then. I don't know enough about engines, but it's the exact same and they warrant the tuning on other models. Probably need to ensure its done by someone authorized. Again, not sure it's worth it for the use it will be getting though.
  15. Good info, thanks. Not a concern though. Mostly wondering if it can be tuned aftermarket with no negative consequences re: warranty and whether it's not its even worth it. We aren't going to be towing anything.
  16. ? Looking to replace the Escalade, which is honestly a piece of shit. Looking at the Navigator or Ford Expedition. Obvious differences in the interior, but with two small kids and two dogs, the extra cost isn't worth it. So leaning Expedition. Looked at the Platinum, but the Limited has everything my wife wants, so no reason to waste the money. That said, one difference that bothers me is that they both have the same engine, but the Platinum is tuned to provide better performance and power. Is there a real difference if you aren't doing heavy towing, and is it possible to have a third party tune that engine to get the same performance? Does that void warranties and if so is it detectable? I'm guessing yes to all.
  17. Sucks about La Vista. New menu never appealed to me. My wife went and said it was good, but nothing worth making the trip. Lots of good memories at the old FV location sitting in the parking lot.
  18. Our long national nightmare is over. Thanks I'mma!
  19. This was a life changer for me when I met my wife. They are from England its just what they did. Should put this in the Trivial things that please the shit out of me thread.
  20. Just got my new grill going a month or two ago and I'm struggling with the infrared. It's fucking hot as shit and I haven't gotten a sear that I liked on it yet. I've had a lot more luck at 550-600 on the cast iron than cranking up the infrared. Still practicing though.
  21. I'm not sure saying Pizza Hut is fucking hot garbage is holding myself out to be a pizza connoisseur. And I'll stand behind my Mr. Gattis ranch.
