  1. I've got offers for both on my app right now. One expires 10/27 and one on 10/30. My 15yo son will hoover those in short order, I have no doubt.
  2. Fried chicken is chicken on the bone, battered, and fried in grease or oil. A fried chicken cutlet, is not that. So it can't be called the same thing. If you don't like calling it chicken-fried-chicken that's fine, call it something else. But if you invite me over to your house and say you're serving "fried chicken" and instead you serve a fried chicken cutlet, I'm gonna throw a coke on you. I'll still eat it though. I like chicken fried chicken.
  3. Complete. Total. Losers.
  4. It would be pretty surprising if he said something like that in a formal interview or press conference. But then again, this is the same giant gaping vagina that went Woody Hayes and assaulted a 20-year-old opposing player on the sideline and nobody did anything about it, so he's probably feeling pretty untouchable right now.
  5. San Antonio bros gatekeeping tacos not going away.
  6. When the moving company moved mine from my old house to my current house, they had two dudes, each with a sturdy hand truck. They got the bottom plate of each hand truck under the bottom of the pit on each end, lifted, and it easily moved. It was a bit tough/awkward for the guy on the end with the firebox, but he sort of came in from the side and then once he got it lifted some, was able to move around into better position. Worked way better than trying to roll it on its own wheels, or worse, trying to lift that gargantuan thing. Anyway good luck, we're all counting on you.
  7. My advice-- if you want the chili to place well, in a work contest, you should do some kind of 5-bean "vegan chili" dish, or a green chile chicken "chili" dish. Real, actual Texas red doesn't ever seem to go over at company cook-offs. However, if you still want to do a batch of Texas red, that's okay too. There's a lot of advice on this thread regarding how to rehydrate your chiles and utilize them for the base. If you want it to cook that fast then probably use just straight coarse-grind ground beef, 2 lbs would be a good amount since there's probably going to be a lot of other food there and people will just be sampling. For the chile blend, like jimmyjazz I like to use guajillo and ancho, and I also like to use some dried New Mexican chiles as well. Heavier on the guajillo and New Mexican, lighter on the ancho. For heat I'll use a handful of chile de arbol. Lots of bases for recipes on this thread if you look around. I usually do not use tomatoes but occasionally I've roasted/charred a couple of quartered vine ripened tomatoes on a skillet and then blended that into the rehydrated chile slurry, and it gave some interesting flavor.
  8. Keep Austin Weird, yo.
  9. Yeah, after accusing Texas of "struggling" with Miss State in our 35-13 win, the ags actually DID come a lot closer to actually losing to that godawful team. They're really, really bad at playing football.
  10. Gullible rubes.
  11. This team has done well against mediocre-to-bad opponents all season long, and every team remaining on the schedule is mediocre-to-bad. 11-1 regular season.
  12. Did he own a lightly used but good condition Corvette?
  13. Ha! My name ain't Nicole!
  14. I've probably mentioned it on this thread (or at the other place) but one of the yogurt shop defendants (Maurice Pierce) was shot and killed by APD a few yards from my house back in December, 2010. The gunshots woke me up and they sounded like they were in my backyard (they were actually in my next door neighbor's backyard). He was running from the police after a traffic stop on Parmer, and started jumping fences in people's backyards. Ultimately he struggled with an officer who had caught up to him on foot, grabbed the officer's knife and cut his neck, but got shot in the process. He tried to run away but died just down the block. I had no idea what was going on at the time, I just heard gunshots and then a lot of police on the street in front of my house as they were searching for him. They had our whole street shut down the next day and only allowed residents in and out, as they investigated the scene. The police interviewed me but of course I didn't have much to add. A news crew from KVUE also interviewed me. That was Christmas Eve, 2010. Weird day. https://www.austinchronicle.com/daily/news/2010-12-24/former-yogurt-shop-suspect-killed-by-apd-updated/
  15. Yes I'm sure there is a way. On my truck it's a button on the steering wheel. Just google it and you'll probably find your answer.
  16. Un-possible. I am told that ags are the best fans ever. They would never lie, cheat, steal, or trample one another for tickets to a football game.
  17. Yup. If I drive in a straight line and never hit the brakes, I will most certainly reach the apex before a car beside me that is actually attempting to make the turn and stay on the track. That doesn't mean I won the corner. It means I'm a dangerous asshole that needs to be penalized repeatedly until I stop doing it.
  18. Remember the Alamo! Remember Goliad! Remember the 1899 Vanderbilt football game!!!!!
  19. I feel like you should probably check your sarcasm meter...
  20. Leave Checo alone!
  21. Yes it should be penalty on both. And if it's a second offense for a driver in the same race, the penalties should start doubling.
  22. And the crazy thing is, all the Russians had to do to NOT have American armor and weapons killing them in their own country, was NOT invade a sovereign nation that they actually signed a treaty to PROTECT rather than destroy. We certainly were never going to invade Russian territory on our own. We already have Mississippi, we don't need any MORE homes without indoor plumbing.
