  1. it's on ESPNU until the LSU/SoCar game is over. Then it'll be ABC.
  2. It's like they only look at the recruiting status in June and then assume nothing has changed over the past 3 months, and nothing will change over the next 3 either.
  3. And various Oktoberfests at multiple local breweries. Good times!
  4. Oh yeah for sure. First I stem and seed them. Then I toast the chiles in the oven for a few minutes, until fragrant. Then blend them up with some of the steeping fluid until the paste or slurry forms. I used to use a tea strainer when dropping the slurry into the pot, but now that I have a Vitamix, there's absolutely nothing left that isn't completely pulverized into liquid form.
  5. In most years since they joined the SEC, the ags have lost a true road game every other year due to the Arkansas game being played in Arlington.
  6. And they played South Carolina annually.
  7. True enough. In general Asian restaurants tend to have a lot of vegetarian/vegan/healthy options. Lots of gluten-free due to the prominence of rice and vegetables, and lots of dairy-free outside of Indian food. But even Indian restaurants tend to have a lot of vegan options as well. I recently went to Clay Pit for the first time in years, it was really good and the building/atmosphere is always good for a date night. I ate the heavy dairy stuff like butter chicken of course, but there were lots of vegan options on the menu.
  8. I always taste the rehydrating water before I blend it back in. Occasionally it's bitter, in which case I don't use it. Usually it's fine and just contributes more flavory goodness into the final product.
  9. Austin's defensive forces are ready to repel the attack.
  10. Yeah I like Wisconsin and I'll be pulling for them, but they suck. They have pretty much zero chance of winning this game. If they do win, futureman will fist himself at the next surly tailgate.
  11. They only have 4 potential losses on their remaining schedule-- USC, Washington, Oregon, and Ohio State. They're not going to lose all of those. If they split them they're 9-3 which sounds about right to me.
  12. Same here. Plus, knowing that the refs had already robbed us of one TD, I knew we were actually playing even better than the score indicated. I wasn't worried about the second half at all, given how ineffective their offense had proven to be.
  13. Why do they need to pack a lunch? Are they planning on staying at the College Station Ramada??
  14. Agree. I really enjoyed the Fox show with Klatt and Leinart side by side, talking about Vince and the 05 Horns, and just shaking their heads at how they couldn't beat 'em. Klatt even mentioned his Buffs had to play Vince 3 times which didn't seem fair. Man looking back, the closest of those 3 games was the 31-7 Longhorn win in 2004...
  15. And zero rainfall to the portions of Texas that so desperately need it. We've seen this movie before, it sucks.
  16. Jones eats Brand and becomes even fatter, then Rogan suplexes Jones' bloated carcass into oblivion.
  17. Wow I had no idea that that dipshit Russell Brand had become a truther conspiracy nutjob. He's dumb enough he might actually believe it, but he's also busted enough that he's just doing it for the money.
  18. At this point are we certain Owens was actually injured, or did he just watch the aggie oline play and decide "nope, I'm out?"
  19. Youngest boomers are ~60 (1946-1964). Average boomers are ~70. Original quote was "you just described the entire baby boomer generation" when in reality it's describing maybe about 25% of the current baby boomers. Now with that, I'm sure we're all done with the pedantry and we can resume the Texas recruiting talk.
  20. Oh one other question-- Is there a suggested time to get out there that would give us the chance at seeing the greatest number of cars? I'd imagine not everyone gets there first-thing and stays the whole time.
  21. Awesome thanks. Even a "poor" showing out there is probably more, and cooler, cars than he's seen when I've taken him to the local meet-ups at the nearby stop-n-rob, so I'm guessing at least one trip would probably be worth it. The map shows spectator parking in Lot F with the actual "car show" in Lot H (which is where we used to park long long ago, before we started camping out there in Lot N).
  22. Hey has anyone ever been to Cars and Coffee at COTA? My son is 14 now and starting to get into cars. There are a couple of nearby car meets I've taken him to, but I'm curious if COTA gets more cars? And also, since it's free and unregulated parking, does it become a total cluster? Or are there just not enough spectators to make it bad?
  23. Agree, it absolutely is!
