  1. The Day After put me into a months-long depression, no lie. But I emerged from it a better, stronger... meaner, 80s kid.
  2. And Leia died of a combination of the two-- effectively committing suicide, while trying to reach out to and redeem her asshole patricidal son.
  3. But they are so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.
  4. What year was this? I worked at AMD for five years (five LONG years), and we never had a Christmas party at FEC. Or anywhere else for that matter...
  5. Yes and yes. They do both.
  6. You have to admire him for his perseverance in the face of extreme stupidity. You can tell he really loves his work.
  7. It's probably very close to how they talk to each other in real life. And after having watched this movie, I now know for certain I would never want to be present when those guys are talking to each other in real life.
  8. The assumption is that the good news above regarding a potential shift in the current administration's direction, is real and actually happens. If it doesn't then this discussion is moot, regardless.
  9. I don't care even the tiniest bit about that if it means Ukraine is getting the help it needs and kicking Russia's ass. Not one iota.
  10. Those same APD officers in the parking lot preparing to begin their night shift, earlier that evening...
  11. Appears to be more than the last session that included OU, their elimination game against Tech...
  12. Don't really care how we get there or who tries to take credit for it, it's just time to help Ukraine and kick Russia in the nads. LFG
  13. Service and food at my closest Popeye's are actually surprisingly good. The staff is reasonably pleasant. I have no idea why but I'm okay with it.
  14. I make brisket enchiladas all the time. Every year my family has an "Enchilada-off" where we all bring a different enchilada dish, and then we sample all of the offerings and vote on the winner. One year they forbade me from bringing my brisket enchiladas because they were tired of me always winning, so I made smoked duck enchiladas instead, and whupped their asses even worse. Anyway, yeah, brisket enchiladas are delicious and one of life's special treats.
  15. Yeah my teenagers are all over the apps. There's always a deal somewhere. Which is great because they eat like fiends and usually pay for it themselves instead of taking me up on my offer of the aforementioned homemade green bell pepper and onion welfare burger on Wonder bread.
  16. Yeah, watched it last night and had the exact same reaction. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't very good either. Definitely glad I waited for it to hit D+ streaming.
  17. It's been a while. Unfortunately it's not going to be nearly enough to make much of a dent in LT. We need streamflows up in the 10K-20K range to get rises that are more than a few inches. The San Saba should help out LB over the next couple of days. Still, a little bit is better than nada.
  18. I think Foundation S2 was as good as S1. Maybe better.
  19. No doubt. Way more homeless people shitting and dead bodies in Town Lake.
  20. The Stop Raining commentary can be put over there on the non-Texas-weather thread. ------------->
  21. I've never owned one but I've always really liked them. Scamp is a similar trailer, based in Minnesota. They're so small and light, they're fairly popular as a towable trailer in the Jeep community.
  22. The new variable is folks all hopped up on Canadian fentanyl, obviously.
