  1. Metro dominated the entire LLWS and never lost a game until it mattered. Ugh. That's the way baseball go. Tomorrow will be a nail biter.
  2. Apparently there's a serial stabber in Frisco. This is the only photo they have of him.
  3. Karl Ravech and Eduardo Perez are so fucking trash that the high school kids on ESPN2 are killing it on the call.
  4. I think 4 wins is generous. Right now I have them beating only Chicago, Carolina, and Arizona. 3 teams that are either scrambling to find an identity or on the tail end of their top talent. You can probably make the argument that Denver is both of those & would be a good choice for a 4th win but that's an away game in late October and Dallas has a horrible record against them. 0-7 in their last 7 games with their last win as a visitor in 1992.
  5. Connecticut might win the whole damn thing. Vegas is nuts.
  6. This has been a great LLWS so far
  7. Pitching masterclass going on right now
  8. Rangers just sent out postseason invoices to season ticket holders.....
  9. Social media is such a mental cancer. I think I've mentioned this before so apologizes for repeating myself. I've noticed that my Facebook friend list gets smaller year after year and the date I lose the most "friends" is always on my birthday. Almost like people see the birthday reminder and go "why am I still Facebook friends with this guy". My messenger request feed is full of people who used to be Facebook friends with me trying to ask something but it doesn't pop up like it would had they not removed me. Always something dumb like "do you still have band tapes from HS? I want to show my kids what band was like". Yeah I have it but maybe you shouldn't have removed me from Facebook. If it wasn't for the business I'd never have these accounts.
  10. 2017 was the last time Pecan Lodge was a serious player in the BBQ world. I don't think they made the TM top 50 that year but I remember Daniel saying if the list was based on beef ribs they'd be in the top 10 (I agree with that). Last time I was there was 2021 and it was Dickey's quality. Haven't been back since.
  11. I was in Seattle last weekend. First time in a few years that we've spent time in the city and not gone to one of the state/national parks. Several things I want to say Holy shit downtown Seattle is disgusting. The homeless problem was bad the last time we went but it has gotten much worse. The mornings we saw a ton of them congregate at block corners to sell each other drugs, bags, electronics, etc. At night we saw them shoot up and insulin needle caps all over the sidewalk. A few screaming at the sky who would later try and follow us on our trek to another hotel because our first one had their AC fucked up. Many of the shops are closed off and employees have to let you in after you ring a doorbell. Seattle's train system is fucking awesome. We took it to and from T Mobile Park with no issues whatsoever. Wish we could do that going to Rangers games. Speaking of Rangers games, T Mobile Park is also fucking awesome. The food is really good, staff is friendly, and the seating is great. It's like night and day going to a Rangers game where I'm having to stand up and sit down every fucking half inning. Seattle fans actually enjoy watching baseball. Foooooooooood. The Asian food in Seattle is unreal. Lots of people wearing masks.
  12. I've found it very effective when you walk by these people to tell them "can you turn your speaker up? I can't hear your music at all". Most of the time they get the message and turn it down but a few will take me seriously and turn it up. Never fails to make the wife laugh her ass off.
  13. Homefield did good with the bomber jacket but man they do us dirty like they just did with the platinum box. $200+ for all that? Hard pass.
  14. I'm not trying to throw shots at Quinn but my god we spent way too much time talking about NFL draft prospects, "will he declare after this season", "will he come back", etc on a guy who ended up being a 7th round pick. I'm doing my best but man the 2026 draft Arch Manning talk is fucking insufferable and I keep getting push notifications about it.
  15. I'm like Vic in that my GAF meter is at the lowest it can be. Cowboys win? Okay. Cowboys lose? Okay. I just know that as long as Jerry Jones is the owner and GM we will never play meaningful football in January and February.
  16. I haven't paid cash for anything in a very long time but when I did, it would piss me off so much if they gave change bills first with coins on top. That's so fucking rude! Coins are always first.
  17. West coast just got upgraded to tsunami advisory.
  18. West Coast is under a tsunami watch after an 8.7 magnitude earthquake just hit Russia https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/us6000qw60/executive
  19. Totally agree with this. I think I'm more confused as to how they became famous than why they're famous right now. This guy and another guy Kai Cenat. They started off their streaming careers just reacting to videos he saw online. Simple as that. Didn't star in a movie, didn't sing any song, didn't get really good at a video game, he just posted his reaction to other people's content and became a celebrity. Other streamers had to be really good at something like Ninja, Dr Disrespect, shroud, etc.
  20. I read a few weeks ago that David Gergen had passed away and I immediately thought of my high school friends. We used to love watching Alex Jones documentaries online because he would talk about the craziest things and do the dumbest shit imaginable. Around the 2004 election he put out a documentary where he showed up to the RNC in NYC and just went conspiracy theorist on everyone he saw. He was able to snag an interview with David Gergen and it devolved into Bohemian Grove talk. For the next few months we stole bits from it and used it during school. We'd have cx debate trial runs and at points we'd say "sir I disrespect you for that". Our debate coach kept saying why are yall talking like that? Normal people don't use phrases like that. If we saw teachers walking around the halls we'd yell "see you at eyes wide shut, baby". No clue how we didn't get in trouble for doing that but this was mid 2000s. Different era I guess.
