Congratulations to USC on Cordova; I sincerely appreciate not having to think about that. Please stay loyal to the Trojans, Gus, and save our coaching staff from itself.

4. They want the NCAA to step in and regulate this. They think NIL really should just be compensation for promotions, and not pay for play. They also allow that there are probably a couple of key players on each team that deserve significant high six figure pay (you figure that one out).

- Our coaches didn't know about this highly publicized thing that happened in Austin and the players found out before they did.
- Our coaches knew and didn't care until the players put public pressure on them. Not sure I like either option.
I'm HOPING that the players' unified public condemnation wasn't because they weren't being listened to privately.

I love the cancerous eastern growth on Texas and the Florida Chode.

The old bubble site once the new indoor practice facility is done?
Move UTPD over there. Build a new Latin/Diversity building around the Thompson Conference Center. Use all that space and that southernmost lot to build a women's sports complex.

The state of fundraising efforts for T1F is improving, especially after a very important period in January where some big gifts were given. The fund is still too reliant on the generosity of a few, but more high net worth people do seem to adapting to the new normal.
Is there an expectation that the big-money/little-money ratio would be significantly different for NIL than it has been in the past for football-focused donations? Or is it just that the little money is lagging behind in the ratio right now with regard to NIL? (I suppose the tiers between big and little money are important in this conversation, too.)
Is there any NIL initiative anywhere that isn't primarily leaning on the big gifts of a wealthy few?

Michigan has hired Wink Martindale as DC.
They're high rollers, so a gambit like this might pay off.

Subtweeting the ex-Director of Player Personnel seems a little catty, but ok
Sark needs Photoshop so he can put "My toxic trait is trusting the wrong people" over a picture of a chick doing yoga at sunset. FB divorcee vibes.

Part of Elko's charm is looking like a recruit's middle school football coach. Same wardrobe budget. Same nutritional habits.

Posted this elsewhere but saying it here:
Some of us just sorted a whole bunch of NIL stuff for the 2024 cycle for Texas football on behalf of everyone else. Texas roster management is elite in CFB at this point. Everyone should sleep easy about transfers and people leaving. Other schools, almost all of them, cannot say what I just said.
Praise be to Sarkisian, Billy Glasscock, Brandon Harris, Texas BMDs, Kenny Baker, CDC, the TOF and some random, ragtag rapscallions who had the audacity to say “fuck it, this is happening and we are doing this motherfucking thing and damn the consequences”, and Bobby Burton.

Ed Orgeron would have been a disaster at Texas, dude hasn't coached in 2 years and was last working as the CEO of a clothing company he is fucking checked out. You think Banks and the monkey are an embarrassment to the university imagine how many coeds this dude would be caught finger banging on lake travis.
We've only gotten 8 pages out of this hire. Coach O would already be like 20+ more pages.
How many pages is Baker really going to get us going forward? MAYBE like one or two for the whole season. O would be at least 5+ per week and probably a whole, active thread when said fingerbanging rumors surfaced. Photoshopping people into this clothing line.
It's like you don't even CARE about content.

So where and which spot DO we waste our anxieties? I need to know. I’m putting my schedule together for next week.
My worries, in order:
1 - Sark's pre-game outfits for 2024 season (what will recruits think? are they SEC-ready? did Shilo and Shedeur model them first?)
2 - The Station status pre-T+1 (or whenever): lit or nah?
3 - NFL draft landing spots for Longhorn players vis-a-vis jersey colors and my eye color
4 - Nike shoes for fan release (supportive enough for my pronation issues? will young people do that "what are those?" thing at me?)- 1

We Have No Insight And We Must Post
This hire is an information vacuum, and all vacuums must be filled. So we fill it with our inane ramblings, insecurities, self-validations, and fears.
Posting is the key. Posting is life.
