  1. Coming back for the pappy 15 pour tomorrow most likely...
  2. Pour number 2 is decent as well
  3. This makes me feel old for some reason (and I'm not a surly old at all)
  4. This is getting out of hand... Can I move out there and just live in your bourbon stash?
  5. Lulz. Actually a good part of Kentucky for bourbon hunting though. Mammoth Liquors is place that usually always has good store picks and not too far away. Otherwise hit up the small shops around where you are staying and you will definitely see a lot of things not in Texas, and may get lucky on some tater bait.
  6. Definitely the best shot at something good by getting well off the beaten path. Can be some good finds if its delivery day. Tip of the damn cap to you if you got the GTS or Michters 10 anywhere close to retail just sitting on a shelf. It is definitely worth a shot to hit up little places out of the way like above. Just don't expect to roll into Louisville/Lexington/Bardstown/NKY etc and expect gold on the shelves. Although, coming from Texas you will definitely have a lot of "Kentucky only" things that you probably don't get down there to stock up on too at the big places like Liquor Barn or Total Wine. What part of Kentucky you heading to? Definitely this, I had an awesome grab there a few weeks ago.
  7. I didn't want to tell him, but the pappy fountain is kept hush hush. Can't let the out of towners get in... But yeah pretty much lottery or regulars only if not lottery. Same as king of Kentucky and basically every special release now. If by some grace of God they did put it on the shelf, you better already be in the store because it's gone in 2 minutes in nky. I'm talking even wsr and eht sb and regular shit like that are gone within 30 min when it gets posted to Facebook by a bourbon group. Insanity nowadays
  8. Spoiler alert, you won't find it here (unless you pay 3 grand at Justin's house of bourbon or somewhere like that).
  9. Yeah that's not true in the slightest. At least not near cincy.
  10. Scary how close that was, I didn't really know honestly
  11. If I had surly funding the bourbon trail wouldn't know what hit it.
  12. Just counted, 21 total with 4 open. All recipes except oeso.
  13. A heaven hill gift shop only release as far as I know. Basically 8 year Elijah Craig at 125 proof in a fancy bottle
  14. 4 different recipes with 2 of each. Obsv, oesk, oesv, and oesf. I'm a sucker for four roses bs. Stopped at Cox creek as well as distillery.
  15. EC Toasted barrel on far right, William heavenhill 13 year second from right, and grenades next to that.
  16. 13 year, suckers are expensive so they better be good.
  17. I spent way too much money yesterday on the bourbon trail. I also showed a tiny bit of restraint and passed up a 15 year Willett for $750 and a lux double barrel 12 year or it would have been worse.
  18. Turn the unit (unit is a big dial) to adjust temperature. Literally couldn't be easier.
  19. They have been flooding the local pages here. I'm not all that interested in going to hunt them though.
  20. I think that may have been me ha. I had heard from stores it was gone and went straight to the distillery to grab 3 more bottles. In hindsight I should have cleared them out.
  21. Same here with the sell off, it sucks.
