  1. 1 death is too many but “in 2025, violent crime in Chicago has continued to plummet, particularly gun violence. Crime data expert Jeff Asher noted that the latest statistics indicate that, in 2025, "the available evidence suggests that Chicago has seen fewer shootings so far this year than any year since the mid-1960s.” https://popular.info/p/how-the-media-enables-trump-on-crime Miss me with the pearl clutching and especially with just accepting the premise that a military occupation is going to make any difference
  2. Some of y’all need to settle down. If we don’t play for the SEC title or we miss the playoffs, let’s talk.
  3. I don’t disagree at all @Longhorn_Fan68
  4. This is correct. He treats them like royal decrees and yet in reality they are memos to exec branch employees and often don’t actually implement the things the White House claims
  5. Honestly I blame Mitch McConnell and the GOP Senate. They could have voted to convict after Trump led a violent attempt to stay in power culminating in the death of at least 3 people and the injuries of more than 100 police. It would have been the easiest decision to defend and Trump never would have been able to hold federal office again. But at the end of the day, despite witnessing this first hand, they are nihilists who crave power over everything else. Fuck democracy. Fuck voters. And especially fuck our founding fathers.
  6. You say low intensity civil war, I say slow moving fascist coup. Tomato to-mah-to
  7. I honestly don’t understand how there are zero consequences for abusing the office to net yourself and family billions No other person in US history has been permitted to do this without at minimum impeachment or federal prosecution. And yet, maybe from now on, corruption simply is baked in and everyone shrugs. It’s the opposite of what our founders intended
  8. Let’s not discount that no one had film on Matt Patricia’s defense. This was the first time anyone lined up against them and no data on tendencies and fronts so disguised coverage was especially effective. We out gained OSU and had a better yards per play stat. If we play OSU after there’s a whole season of film, it will be a completely different story
  9. @closetojumping was right about the crowd but hey look, Cinci beat the spread
  10. Covering -6.5 against home dogs, Cinci, on a Thursday night? I can’t tell you one thing about either roster but man I don’t know
  11. I’m seething with rage over this. It’s worse than giving that family money.
  12. Performative protest has a place, but it can’t be the only thing
  13. “Garage,” you with your fancy French words
  14. Coach O won a title- so any mediocre talent can get lucky
  15. Yeah but I tend to agree people are overrating Clemson. Plus Kelly’s house may get burned down if they lose another opener
  16. I think rotating bodies is less about the optimal 5, but more about evaluating the # 6-8 guys to see who can contribute day 1. I’m excited to see how we get along in the run game this season
  17. Literal decades of crying about government regulating capitalism and how we need guns to protect against an occupying federal force on radio, tv, and the internet. And now with the government taking ownership stakes in Intel and US Steel (with plans for more) and deployment of actual soldiers to US cities under the barest pretext…. just crickets. Or probably more accurately, cheers. We are nearing a dangerous escalation point I think - especially with the attempt to take over the Fed. I will say only this: those who disregard constitutional order cannot claim its protections.
  18. Also, if you or I put the SS database on a cloud we’d be in federal prison
  19. We return the only 1000+ yd rusher in the SEC and yet Baxter may keep him on the bench. I think confidence in the RB room is high
  20. Quinn completed some key 3rd downs and put points on the board
