  1. He's hurt now. If course: The world’s richest person said he will know this week whether surgery will be required, ahead of his proposed cage fight with Meta Platforms Inc. co-founder Mark Zuckerberg. He previously said he “might need an operation to strengthen the titanium plate holding my C5/C6 vertebrae together.” https://finance.yahoo.com/news/musk-says-may-surgery-mri-034154641.html
  2. Theater laughed out loud when she (Barbie) was complaining about being ugly and the narrator (Helen Mirren) chimed in with something to the effect of "Note to the director but Margot Robbie is the wrong person to be making this argument."
  3. Finally saw it. Theater still sold out. MUCH better than I thought it would be. As someone else said, one of the more brilliant satire movies of the past ten years. It'll be out on Max at some point and I'll watch it at least five times and prolly pick up something new each time. It should win best picture but it won't.
  4. Well said. As someone who works in consumer retail, this is true. 90% of people live month to month. If you have even a six month cushion, you're far better off than most.
  5. Big 10 needs to take Notre Dame and Stanford. ND likes their California exposure which they get to keep with USC and then with Stanford. It's a win/win for everyone.
  6. Yeah, it'll be like the Bronco, which has some normal starting price but that's before all the "packages."
  7. What is now the best academic school in the new Big 12? Kansas? Lulz.
  8. So, is Zona State to Phoenix like UC to Denver in that no on really cares for a whole list of reasons? (Lots of transplants, pro sports, more to do, etc.)
  9. Help me out here. Why is Arizona a bigger get than Arizona State? Zona State is in a bigger market (Phoenix) and a larger school (65K students to 36K). They're both the same in football with Arizona being better in basketball if that matters. Thanks. I'll hang up and listen.
  10. The best part was that even if you took the branded clothing away from the fans, you could tell who was who.
  11. Was out there for OU/UCLA. OU had maybe 40K fans and the UCLA side looked like Friends & Family. I think they were giving away tickets but I could be wrong and that was the marquee game on their schedule that year.
  12. Yeah, one thing I like about the 4 Runner is the amount of interior cube space relative to its size. Nothing in the market really comparable. I don't want a giant SUV and that's prolly why I'll stick with the new 4 Runner.
  13. Pat Green wrote songs like a chat bot long before chat bots were a thing. Hell, I could write a Pat Green song.
  14. I'll add on to what others have said. If there are invites from the Big 10 and Big 12 for these respective schools and if they don't take them, they're certified morons and deserve whatever graves they dig for themselves. Props to the Big 12 for resurrecting themselves. I'm glad OU and Texas left but the league might have spun off into oblivion but now they have a solid group of schools with good regional fan bases, albeit across the country, assuming the Zona schools and Utah come on board. Good basketball league, too.
  15. Depends on the price. Right now, top end 4Runners max out in the low to mid $50's. They're saying the LC will start at $55K, which means with any options at all, it'll be $65K to $70K. That's a price tier higher than the 4 Runner, which is prolly the point. No one is going to pay $100K for a LC but they may pay $75K and might do without cannibalizing the 4 Runner. What's also interesting is all the new players in the actual off road space with SUV's. Toyota's FJ Cruiser was a Jeep competitor and it flamed out after a few years yet we had an onslaught of grocery getters. Now, we have all the off road SUV's.....
  16. Thanks for posting that. 2015 4 Runner here and I'm waiting until the new one to come out and will still wait another year or so. The Land Cruiser got my attention and I was wondering how it compared. Looks like the interior cube space is comparable with the LC being slightly bigger. One big advantage for the 4 Runner over all mid sized SUZ's is the interior cube space. Granted, most of them are grocery getters but in a lot of cases, it's not close. I'm curious what the LC cube space comes out as with it being slightly bigger.
  17. We liked it for the first few episodes but by the last two, it went off the rails and the last 10 minutes of the last episode jumped the shark.
  18. They're quoting the new Land Cruiser in the $50K but just watch, with any sort of add on spiffs, it'll be $70K or more.
  19. Yeah, Texas is great if you want a big, cheap house that you can sit in for 6 months of the year for the AC. Awesome. I saw that as someone who lived in Texas for 10-15 years and miss that period sometimes. Texas whatever.....
  20. Both of these. That house is $135/SF. That's cheaper than a random subdivision in Northwest Arkansas, let alone a coastal market. It's also 3,600 SF for God's sake. No one really needs that much space.
  21. Jen Psaki is in my wheelhouse and I would most def take her to pound town. Carry on.
  22. Yeah, I was a fan of that move, too. The Pac-12 wouldn't accept LHN, which now looking back was one of the dumbest decisions ever. (I thought it was stupid then, too.) Would have gotten the Big 12 schools more exposure on the West Coast and the Phoenix markets. Good recruiting there, too. People complained about the long road trips with that but look where we're all at now. I liked the idea of Texas/OU vs USC/Oregon in the title game in prime time. Instead, Texas took the ESPN money to play OU and a bunch of ag schools. Also, looking back, the Pac-12 should have considered that OU offer but oh well.
  23. They wouldn't have even answered the phone if Baylor called. Not in a million years.
  24. The Steph Curry doc is pretty good. Didn't know that his mom rode his ass for years about getting his degree.
