  1. Purpose of thread is the drink has to be named Moonshot as to match the transfer portal motto for 2025.
  2. Here is a variant of the original: MoonShot Cocktail Recipe | How to Make the perfect MoonShotIngredients: Gin:2 oz · Clamato Tomato Cocktail:3 oz · Tabasco Sauce:1 dash · Ice Cubes:As needed
  3. Since Moonshot has become this year’s motto and much like Chicken Fried Steak in the first year, I was hoping there might at least be a drink that could become the official drink for a big signing. Any other cocktails that are actually known by the name of Moonshot or does Surly create it own new recipe? Any of these enticing to the Surly crowd? Moonshot Cocktails (Alcoholic) There are several cocktail recipes that share the name "Moonshot": Classic "Moonshot" (Clam Juice Cocktail): A historically strange, but reportedly refreshing, concoction created by Harry Craddock in 1926 to commemorate the end of the General Strike in England. Ingredients: 2 oz gin, 3 oz clam juice (or clam nectar), 1 dash Tabasco sauce. Instructions: Stir all ingredients well with cracked ice and strain into a chilled old-fashioned glass. Garnish with a celery stalk if desired. Apollo 11 Commemorative "Moonshot": A simple, celebratory drink from 1969. Ingredients: 3 oz Champagne, 2 oz Cognac, 3 oz orange juice. Instructions: Mix well and serve over ice, because, as the publicist noted, "the moon's surface is rock". Modern "Moonshot" (Space Race Inspired): A more contemporary recipe incorporating a space-age product. Ingredients: Grapefruit cello (cello can be substituted), vodka, blood-red grenadine, and Tang powder (the space-age breakfast drink).
  4. You have to look at cost now and since we don't know what these players cost either Texas staff is going for better value to sign a couple of high end players or Texas staff just got some sticker shock and wish they had kept some of the players we already had in house. Only they will know the truth.
  5. I think at best he is a replacement for Wisner what I mean by that is he is a #2 back. Yet, if the price is possibly higher than Wisner why not keep Wisner? At least we know Wisner was good in pass pro. This guy I don't know since there is not much of that in the highlights.
  6. Bobby mentioned the WR coach was being retained last week. If one of your receivers consistently drops the ball then he has a case of the drops, when all your wideouts consistently drop the ball then it is coaching.
  7. This morning, Gerry tried to deflect that he implied and made us believe Isaac Brown was going to enter the transfer portal, visit Texas, and that Texas would be favored to land him. I like OTF, and they are the best of the $9.95 sites, but sometimes they are a little too optimistic once a player is on the Texas coaching staff’s radar.
  8. Hey Caden, in todays college football world you can only afford to get a tattoo after spring practice of your senior year.
  9. Yup, Gerry said a few hours ago we would know more about Brown tomorrow regarding the paper work entering the portal and once that was done he would be in Austin in short order.
  10. Watching BIG XII game from the past with no defense.
  11. DanTheHorn replied to F250's topic in Football
This would have been game if they had run the ball during the last drive. Passes again?
  12. DanTheHorn replied to F250's topic in Football
I thought I had seen stupid end of game decisions. Can"t top three passes and passing on points on the cusp of winning a championship when you have a 10 point lead and 3 minutes to go.
  13. Wisner was never suppose to be a #1 back. When healthy he did what was expected of him. Once he is graded based on expectations then he was fine. Flood on the other hand has performed well below the requirements of his job.
  14. Well now he is comparing something that is signed and he agreed too versus the NFL instead of the NFL versus a promise that he will get signed for his asking price. Lets hope it looks like this for Goosby.
  15. Some people still want to blame things on something other than Flood our OL and Sark trusting Flood's evaluation of our needs in 2025.
  16. Consider yourself an early bird. I have been watching the transfer portal until a few minutes ago.
  17. I’m just saying that posters say this every year. They’re often right about what might be coming next year, but that doesn’t mean that they will be willing to ignore next year. This year, Arch was new but had already been in the system, yet people were still upset that we didn’t go all-in on the offensive line. Next year, Lacy will be in his second year and Dia Bell will have a year in the program. Our No. 1 recruiting class will be more mature and hitting its' prime, and people will be saying the exact same thing again. My point, succinctly, is that at a top-notch program, every year is the year, especially in the portal era. If Indiana and Ole Miss haven’t demonstrated that yet—particularly considering what Ole Miss lost on defense last year—I’m not sure what else will.
  18. Is Goosby waiting on an NFL grade or is he waiting for the 2026 market to be fully established before making a decision?
  19. You next year: This is the year to fuck not resetting the market. Use every ounce of dry powder we have for 2027. We can go back to running a budget in 2028.
  20. Even the refs could not secure this one for Kirby
