  1. Finally had some time off from work and was able to install the Fass 100 and beans sump on the Cummins. There's no going back once you cut a 4" hole in the gas tank. Overall took me 4.5 hours and I had to reposition the sump as it leaked first go around. The next mod will be injectors and a bigger turbo.
  2. Use stabil and you'll be good to go as it will last for 2 years. I use it religiously in my mowers, chainsaws and cars I don't drive in the winter. Never have a problem come spring when I crank'em up.
  3. He's a heck of a basketball player not sure if he's a good hitter at the plate though
  4. Lot of good info/takes today. My uneducated thoughts are folks got used to low rates and suckling on that teat and now that that monetary fed milk bag isn't producing as much people are going to be upset as it "dries" up. Reminds me of weaning calves off their mommas.
  5. You may just have yourself a nice maintained Cummins....and that's a great thing. Fluid, filters and fuel are crucial for a diesel's longevity.
  6. That's not a bad deal, sure you could hassle for more money off but it's tough as diesel trucks (used autos as a whole) are in high demand so folks don't budge much. Make sure the engine is good and if you feel good, take her home. Easy test, take the oil cap off and see if you get blow buy. If you can see smoke puffing out....run. That would indicate there are some rings broken or blow by. I highly doubt it w/that low of miles but kids add a tuner and boost break the shit out of diesel and it takes a toll on them.
  7. Added new shoes today, Cooper AT3XLTs, 315/70/17. Got them from discount tire and had them price matched sams club then combo'd my veteran's discount. Jumped on eBay and discount tire's own store had them cheaper than their price match...I don't get it but whatever.
  8. I'll save folks the sad click Texas Cameron Dicker, K Josh Thompson, DB
  9. He lurks still (last logged on today) but took a break from posting.
  10. Shingles are made by Pinnacle and the color is Majestic shake. Sandblast cabinet is harbor freight w/ some mods I've done to it. I've got it hooked up to my 60G Husky, it will run off a smaller one though. However, I blast a lot of car parts and I needed something that would keep up. Stickers make it blast better [emoji41]
  11. Tip of the hat to Ramey, he played his ass off on D.
  12. I've got a 2007 Cummins 5.9. During cold weather when I pull I get low fuel flow engine codes so this is my fix, instead of changing my CPIII. I'm running stock injectors/turbo with no tune. I have done transmission work gauges, exhaust, cold air kit, bigger cold air intake charge tube and intake horn. I've also got a coolant filtration system along with w/an oil bypass filtration system in conjunction w/factory oil high flow filter. So this is another step on the filter wars on fluids. The next upgrade will be bigger injectors when they go out.
  13. This is one detail, that always bothered me when buying cars. The amount of time being spent in preparing the vehicle for sale. I can't tell you how much money you can get for a nice, clean, detailed car compared to someone who just takes pictures with trash, clothes and crap all in the car.
  14. He was, his last activity was in May of 2018 per his profile. Good old corvette pictures and pay stub posting.
  15. Dropped the coin and got a FASS 100 for my Dodge 2500, 5.9 Cummins. Mocked everything up and seems to be a straight forward install. I'm going the sump route instead of the in tank draw straw due to the 1/4 tank issue.
  16. I love it, a nice find and a great color combo. My old man had one of these when I was younger, the 460 is stout and would pull a house, as long as you kept that thirsty big block fed.
  17. Damn! Not everyone in Alabama is Bama fans I guess.
  18. Never done anything other than a private party but those have gone really well. I always try to describe the vehicle to the best of my ability. Potential seller knew the asking price before they came to look at the vehicle and I either do cash, certified cashier check. Sold cars on forums, craigslist and Ebay with good success (while avoiding the eBay fees.) I've never had any issues but I've don't have experience with some of the newer type selling platforms either.
  19. Left on a business trip and accidentally left my lights on on my daily driver (aka beater) when I parked it in a parking garage out by LAX. Luckily for me, I backed in and was on the 5th floor. So I loaded up and pushed the civic down the garage ramp and popped the clutch....fired right up. I loved that car, however, someone else loved it more than me and stole it. User name doesn't check out
  20. That service dept is full of idiots, batteries don't go dead for no reason. Highly doubt an alternator crapped out at 6K miles.
  21. Instrument specialities, specializes in this. I had them rebuild my dash and the options were endless. You can have your factory radio and have blue tooth, AM/FM etc and you can't tell as it looks the same. The only difference is the internals.
  22. Anybody ever installed an Airdog or FASS system on their diesel truck? Debating on picking one up and installing it myself utilizing a Beans diesel sump. Curious on tips/tricks before hand.
