  1. Been doing this with T-Mobile for a few years now. Have to work a little if you want to get around MLB’s archaic blackout rules...
  2. Well I’m torn. Really like High West Double Rye but not a huge fan of barrel finishes.
  3. PSA if you are looking for HH BiB around Austin the new TW in Bee Caves has a healthy supply. They’ve got some other harder to find bottles as well, looks like they were well stocked for their opening.
  4. Suspect that if you were using an Apple box to watch things would work just fine... they don’t play well with others.
  5. A lot of the physical symptoms you describe can be caused by food allergies and gut heath, so seems you are on the right track there. I’ve always viewed chiro and massage as as-needed maintenance. Do them together, put the bones back in place and relax the muscles that are pulling them out of place. Best advice I ever got was from a PT that was a former chiro - don’t use weekly chiro adjustments as a long term care strategy, get things fixed and then strengthen the muscles, adjust posture etc. to keep them fixed. Tried acupuncture, don’t mind it but doesn’t do much for me.
  6. Found a Col. Taylor Rye today at retail. I’ll buy every EHT I can find at retail. Passed on Blood Oath Ch 6 because I’ve figured out I don’t really like cask finished juice and fuck paying $120 for that. And grabbed an Uncle Nearest 1856 because that’s great stuff and will soon be unobtainable just because they won an award.
  7. I’ve got the same thing, with the $5 (I think) HBO add which now allows access to all HBO Max programming.
  8. Since I can’t figure out how to post 2 pictures at once here’s the final
  9. First time using a water pan in my ceramic. One of the better briskets I’ve done
  10. Wrapped at 168, pulled at 185, rested 2 hours in the cooler. So tender two of the bones pulled out when I unwrapped to cut.
  11. Yep. Every single barrel store pick I’ve had is good. Most of their regular bottles are good and easy to find. They do a good job of differentiating their bottles. 1870 (not my favorite), for example, is different from 1897 and 1920. And they have a really cheap and decent rye for mixing drinks.
  12. I’m in the same industry, never worked for K-H, but heard similar stories. They aren’t the worst btw.
  13. I chase the hard to find and allocated as much as anybody, but sipping an Evan Williams single barrel tonight is a good reminder that good juice does not have to be overpriced or unobtainable.
  14. If you choose to live where your residence will be zoned to Vandergrift yet you commute to a job in Hyde Park then you want to live in Riverplace. DO NOT buy a house where you have to go through the 620/2222 intersection in the AM. You will have major ragrets. Even when the intersection construction underway now is complete in about 18 months I have significant doubts the congestion will get better.
  15. Thanks. Solid advice. Also, I found the thread. Just looking to up my game a bit without spending a bunch of cash.
  16. I had a good takeout experience, but I know multiple people that have not. They need to open back up, seems their quality control on the takeout is pretty spotty.
  17. Recommendations for a knife to slice brisket, and the board to cut it on.
  18. There was a discussion recently on knives and cutting boards in one of the barbecue threads, don’t remember which one and now I cannot find.. anybody recall? May have been two separate discussions?
  19. Surely this is the death knell.. I grew up in OK, went to OSU when Gundy was the quarterback and always liked him as “our guy.” Having suffered wandering through the desert during the near-death penalty years with Pat Jones and after I always figured that dealing with the redneck mullet was just the price we paid for fielding a (usually) decent football team. And compared to what what’s been going on at UT (my second alma mater) in the same time frame, it didn’t seem much worse. All that said, I’m done. I don’t see how OSU moves forward with Gundy as head coach.
  20. Gotta get the agreement and money up front. After the fact there is zero incentive for them to pay a dime. About 8 years ago I needed a new fence all around. I pointedly did not build the section where the neighbors refused to share the cost. Why? Because I knew I’d never get paid.
  21. Was told at one store that everything would be out, with limit 1 on hard to find bottles. Not sure how they enforce? Was told at another store that the really rare bites would still be on an ask-for-it basis, but they are trying to throw the professional hunters off the scent with the policy. Gives them plausible deniability...
  22. Anybody with Orangebloods access that would post Anwar Richardson’s post from today? Saw a teaser on Twitter that looked interesting.
  23. I’m sipping the Uncle Nearest right now. I know it’s 2/3 hype and the juice is sourced but damn it’s tasty.
  24. Also drinking mules, but using them as a way to get rid of the very overpriced bottle of Still Austin batch 2 swill I was convinced to buy to support the local startup..
