  1. Unfortunately yes. Yes he is. Better question is why they aren’t giving Hubbard the ball every damn play. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. With T Boone gone, nobody remembered to pay the refs. aggys getting every call (or non-call) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. If there was any call it was offensive PI Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. The guy quoted in the article as the independent expert recommending the technology gets his salary paid by Hyperloop. Google AECOM and Hyperloop. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Read an article recently that Amazon doesn’t have a way to weed out the fakes once they are in the system. They get scanned into a warehouse and then, regardless of who you order the item from, it is fulfilled from the big bin of items with that skew in the shipping center. There’s items I used to order regularly from Amazon that I’ve given up and gone back to brick and mortar purchases. But sucks for things like your grill parts that are hard to find locally. 6. This combined with a recession in the oil field following the end of the war led to a lot of white men out of work in Tulsa and jealous of the prosperity of Greenwood. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. So Ash confirmed.. Herman is coaching for his job and makes the comfort hire. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Because he’s the HC, not the OC. If memory serves, Gundy tried to do this early in his stint at OSU. Finally figured out that the HC needs to actually be the HC, not have his head buried in the offense and ignoring everything else. If Herman is going to be successful next year he needs to make a good hire and get out of the way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Those are some overpriced boots.. and 3 of the 4 are ugly on top of overpriced. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Perhaps they could teach tackling like this Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Watching the OU- Baylor game reminded me what good coaches and a well-coached team can do. OU got their shit pushed in during the first half. Then they did this incredible thing that the Texas coaches seem incapable of doing: they adjusted to what was happening on the field! Pitched a shutout in the second half by adjusting on defense. Scored 34 points by adjusting to what the defense was doing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Wish I was home tonight, would have jumped all over this ... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I don’t go downtown that much these days, met an out of town associate last night. Parked at 5th and Brazos and had to walk through a block of encamped citizens on the sidewalk to get to where I was going. Got yelled at by said citizens to “get out of my neighborhood!” Apparently the public ROW is no longer public. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. One of my favorite new places. Helps that my office is 2 miles away, but legit and worth driving for. Fair warning, they are closed Monday AND Tuesday.
  15. Glad they are working on the really important things like rebranding rather than figuring out how to provide the content I signed up to receive. Still no progress with rate negotiations with CBS and others?
  16. Reading comprehension - I said a single lane can carry about 1800-2000 vehicles per hour, and that 472 cars was about 30% of that. Multiply that by the number of lanes and by the length of rush hour and see what you get. At Burnet you’ve got a pretty large number of lanes and a fairly even N-S distribution. Of course you could criticize my analogy for assuming all 472 of our Leander riders would be on the road at the same time. If they are actually spread over the 3.5 hours of rush hour you aren’t even going to notice the additional traffic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Cap Metro right now is limited by the physical constraints of the Red Line, they have limited locations where trains can pass one another. Current ongoing projects are working on eliminating these bottlenecks. When complete they will be able to increase frequencies, assuming they have equipment to do so. Will that increase ridership from Leander? Don’t know... but Cap Metro thinks so given the $$$ they are investing. The service hours are more problematic. They can’t run passenger vehicles and freight at the same time, and they have existing freight contracts for the evening hours. They make pretty good money on those too, I’m told. FYI 472 cars is about 30% of a lane. A freeway lane carries 1800-2000 vehicles per hour. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Have some friends from Tulsa coming in. If you have 3 you don’t plan to use send me a PM. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. CAMPO is the federally-mandated regional planning agency for the region. Effectively, they manage regional planning and administer federal funds. Their board is comprised of representatives from each of the 6 counties in their boundaries, each city over 50k population in the area, a small cities rep, TxDOT and Cap Metro. CTRMA is a state-chartered agency formed by Travis and Hays County. Their board is comprised of representatives appointed by each county and a chair appointed by the Governor. CapMetro is a state-chartered agency with representatives on the board appointed by city of Austin, Travis County and I believe CAMPO. Almost all of their service area is in those two jurisdictions. I think this reinforces the overlap, but in my opinion there are reasonable policy reasons for the overlap. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. And that, my friends, is how you humblebrag. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Ended up paying to repair the screen. All the software programs that promised they could access the data cost nearly as much as the repair with no guarantee they would actually work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I like the Beats X. Keep a charge a long time, recharge in 15 minutes, synch with everything I’ve tried and sound pretty good even though they are Bluetooth. They are not noise canceling but are noise isolating once you pick the right set of earbuds from the pack. Work fine for me on planes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Should add the phone will turn on and all Functions work, but can’t access anything, or input access codes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Wife’s Samsung phone took a pavement dive. Repairing screen and LCD for 2-year old phone looks like more than the phone is worth. She didn’t have the data backed up... any simple way for me to get the picture and videos from the vacation we were on when it happened? I’d hate to have to repair the phone just to get the files. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. TXDOT did that on RM 2222 near the top of Tumbleweed Hill and approaching FM 620 - works well for 95% of folks. They aren’t going to stop an F-250 that wants to turn left, otherwise work pretty well to enforce safe(er) behavior from impatient idiots.
