  1. Just terrific. Mrs. Larusso called Kreese, Rambo. Outstanding.
  2. So, phrasing? I actually am curious about that because I"m trying to figure out how to get my elderly parents in and they can't stand in line.
  3. What does happen if you get the first shot right after you sucked in some covid from the dude next to there?
  4. Nah, I'm sure they're fine like that. Should've elaborated. I can't have them around because I eat them all. That took me a long time to figure out, though. I can't get enough of the nut roll one they have.
  5. Those fucking things are the devil. I can't have them around.
  6. I chew gum and carrots basically all night when I'm at home so I don't snack. I actually had to get rid of everything in my house, except fruit and veggies and HUEL Powder. If I get sick of them, I'll go get a real meal or meet friends out every couple weeks. But when you starve yourself, a banana tastes like a vanilla milkshake, so it' great. That's easy for me because I live alone. And the sugar free gum thing can mess up your stomach temporarily, so be careful there. I bring up the sugar free gum, because I have a lot of sugar cravings from dropping booze, so depending how much you were drinking, you might get some of those sugar cravings too. Fasting cardio and lowering carbs will help a ton, but it really just comes down to willpower with food.
  7. Man I think I can relate to what you're saying. Even before I drank, as a kid I always did shit the hardest way possible and never turned back. Drinking was, in a way, the easier path and the most difficult path. That's the bitch of the thing I guess.
  8. Appreciate everything all of you have to say here. Addicts and non addicts. It's daily reading for me and helps. I read it for a couple years before I stopped drinking, because I knew I had to stop at some point, and have kept reading it. As a non-program guy, I'm glad I'm not alone out here. The last 2 years have been the best of my life even with all this shit going on, simply because I'm not drunk. Life is that much better and easier now. SO much. I expect every year to hold form and be better than the last. Happy NY, my brothers and sisters. 966 days
  9. Haha. At least I've got some good hiking boots. Post holing in that shit with a heavy backpack is a hulluva workout though. So I found some of these on geartrade for 100 bucks.
  10. Al told me not to buy snowshoes or skis so I had to navigate this in my boots.

    High

Real Sports on HBO did a segment on it. It's a good watch.
  12. THat's my concern. I want to get snowshoes too, but I'm in Des Moines, so I don't know if it's worth getting stuff like that.
  13. My buddies in Minnesota do this. I want to try it now that I'm back in Iowa.
  14. That's something I'd like to know more about. I've got my CC's stored everywhere. I assume that's what you're talking about.
  15. I've got reservations this tuesday and wednesday at the jw marriot in downtown nashville. It appears this was about 1 mile from there. fucking russian irish afghani
  16. Keto and a fair amount of fasting and cardio. The bulk of it was over a year and I wasn't ping ponging too much. Just steady. I don't think I lost any strength. I do a lot of rucking with 35 pounds on my back for 6-10 miles and pull ups and push ups frequently, so I'm probably stronger all around now than I've ever been. Not bulky. I've discovered pull ups are the best thing for my upper body and core. THey burn like a sumbitch and are really convenient to do.
  17. Finally made it to maintenance stage. My high was 220, 2 years ago at 5'10 and a somewhat athletic build. Not scrawny, but always kinda pudgy around the middle. No real plan, but I finally decided that I'd get into the 160's and give myself that 10 pound buffer to go either way. no 150's and no 170's. I hit 165, so now I just need to be careful and keep it up. But dammit all to hell, I don't know what to do about the loose skin. I'm 43 and didn't lose a ton of weight, but I'm flabby as shit.
  18. I thought Wayne was great. Had some humor and feelers stuff going on well together.
  19. ^^^^^^^ sometimes those are the best. Usually after 100 washes, but sometimes you can find those gems that are perfect. Like an old, worn out tshirt.
  20. I'm truly envious of this outlook. I'm not unhappy in the least, and getting sober has brought me happiness that I didn't know I had, but the above is something I can't accept for whatever reason.
  21. Is Apple TV my best bet for my olderish parents, as opposed to Fire, Roku or Google? They have a few apps that aren't on their smart tv that they want. I use Fire and Google, so I can easily show them that, but is Apple more elderly friendly? They aren't too bad. Yet
  22. I love a good sweatshirt for casual occasions and wearing around the house, but I haven't found any that I love. I want a few casual, comfortable sweatshirts under 50 bucks or so. My best is an old Under Armor that I got as a gift 10 years ago an I wear it all the time, but it's been through the ringer so it doesn't leave the house. I thought about a couple more of those, but those have gotten pricey and I don't know if they're as comfortable as they used to be. Just plain, comfortable sweatshirts. Anything jump out at you guys over the years?
  23. Goddammit indeed. This is my go to at night when I'm in the mood for doze watching and I don't have to pay attention because I've seen all of them several times.
