Certifiably Surly
  1. I had to twist arms to get my banker to loan on it. He said he wouldn’t normally.
  2. Understood re A&M and OU, the tape guys everywhere make that clear. He still stepped up. And like others said he was gashing Georgia early and sark stopped. Doesn’t matter, he’s still a third down back at best here, we need a RB1, actually we need 2 of them.
  3. Both of y’all, too soon, knock it off.
  4. How do I get started? I don’t want bird shit all over my deck or rando weeds growing in the lawn. we have a de facto nature preserve behind us, birds seem to like our zero edge pool but that water isn’t great for them to drink or bathe in I’d imagine. What are the best websites for feeder set ups and seed etc etc. I’m young enough such that I want to help and them around but I don’t need to learn identification. I’m a decade away from that development.
  5. Up 11% today (futures) and up 20% in 5 days. Crazy.
  6. Update please…
  7. Got no issue with him leaving but at least his best three games were top 10 opponents. He balled out. Too many Texas players fucking turtled up this year. Need gamers every game. Go get them.
  8. Go to the fucking doctor and stop asking dumb shits on the internet.
  9. I got some socks. Given the toe fungus issues they are pretty spectacular. Breathable, all the things. Would recommend, the socks not the toe fungus.
  10. Last year with one of our sons, the excitement and trepidation of college is the backdrop as admissions letters have started coming in. the other just turned 16 and got his car this morning. Second time we’ve been able to do the big red bow Christmas for our sons. I feel very fortunate to be able to get them the car and truck they wanted. Core memories aren’t always predictable but this one is. Bittersweet Christmas as we get ready for dinner. I’ve teared up several times. It might be morbid but I’m starting to see these times from their point of view when I’m no longer here. Not sure if that’s good for my health, but it’s interesting nonetheless. My whole purpose right now is launching them successfully then finishing a family legacy. I feel like these are the years that mean the most, I guess it’s nice to be in them rather than being through them, but I can’t help but think about the future being much different.
  11. I had a dream a bunch of months ago I won the lottery, so not taking any chances I bought $10 worth of tickets. I won like $2. Fucking Nostradamus right here.
  12. I don’t know how anyone can argue with this. When his HC tenure is over he will have multiple DC offers. Trajectory much like Muschamp.
  13. Im not quibbling over a few percentage points. The broader AI market - which is critical to a discussion of a AI bubble brings total GPU spend down by over 50%. That’s not insignificant. There are key differences with the dot com bubble too, the companies spending heavily on AI are the big tech companies that are already profitable, allowing them to make absurd investments for long term market capture. that alone is a massive difference. in the dot com bubble anyone with a “.com” was automatically seen as inherently valuable. The value in these AI platforms is far beyond a farce. Further, those “.com” companies were largely unprofitable. While there are new comers that will fail in the AI race there are hundreds of companies currently monetizing AI in their tech stack providing real value for revenue. there will be a shakeout of companies that can’t compete but I don’t see a bubble in the same sense. i do see a zombie economy though and as soon as AI has a pull back, I do think there will be pain. so for all intents and purposes - except picking long term winners and losers - it may all be the same.
