  1. I dunno. A 12 year old kicking a raptor's ass with a high bar routine is one of the biggest WTFs in cinema.
  2. A 4.0+ weighted GPA nets you the $12,500/year Green & Gold Scholarship. You have to keep a 3.0 to renew it each year. My kid got that one and another $2,000/year renewable scholarship through CSU. She got the same amount at Mines but the tuition is closer to $50K/year. Didn't get a damn thing from CU. GPA range Scholarship amount per year Percent of tuition and fees the scholarship covers* 4.0+ $12,500 36% 3.80-3.99 $10,000 29% 3.60-3.79 $8,000 23% 3.40-3.59 $6,000 17% 3.30-3.39 $4,000 12% 3.20-3.29 $2,500 7%
  3. I don't get why you don't just destroy all the files unless there are some copies backed up somewhere that the feds can't get their hands on.

This team has such a loser mentality. Let’s back off the last 10 minutes to preserve that 0-0 draw in the race to the bottom. That’s great.

Uzuni couldn’t score on the backup goalie in warmup so I wasn’t surprised he missed a tap in from 2 feet.
  6. We checked out the campus when we were in Durango a couple of years ago and it is awesome looking over the town. Two boys from my kid’s class are headed there. They are completely stoked being big mountain bikers and skiers. They’re gonna be living the dream.
  7. They got rid of the drive through mailboxes at the Allandale post office recently. There also used to be one in the hood on Greenlawn but it’s gone too.
  8. Just got home from the Alamo. This was great. If this is the direction the DC is going, it’s really the Guardians of the Galaxy universe and I’m all in. The cast was perfect. Mr Terrific stole show for me. My only complaint is they didn’t release those Brosnahan titties.
  9. That riff is awesome.
  10. My daughter got into CSU, CU, and Mines and chose CSU. The outdoorsy thing is no joke at any of them. They all have a daily bus service to different ski resorts during the season. She’s been skiing once and her roommate is from Glenwood Springs and is a big skier. So, I’ve already told her I’ll pay for private lessons to get her comfortable as quickly as possible.
  11. I would hope every camp in the country has disaster planning front and center on their brochures going forward but fuck it, letting Jesus take the wheel is much cheaper.
  12. This was probably the 2nd best after the original. Low bar, I know. The first 20 minutes felt exactly like an early 90s Spielberg movie. Had all the same beats, cinematography, and music from the OG. As in all JP movies, the kids absolutely suck. No one deserved death more than Xavier and his girlfriend. Other than the big bad mutant confrontation at the end, all the dino encounters were great.
  13. I've been getting the Kamado Joe lump at Lowe's for a few years now. I used to get Cowboy but every bag started having metal and rocks in it.
  14. Tesla is a shitty automaker and that fact (unlike others) doesn't hurt their sales.
  15. I really wish they'd stop trying to make Glen Powell happen. He's as milquetoast as they come. All I could think of how much better that line "I'm going burn this whole building down" would be if the roles were reversed and it was delivered by Josh Brolin.
  16. So, I've been researching this every single day for going on two weeks. I'll eat crow and admit I am changing my tune. My MIL recently passed away and my wife inherited all her assets. Since we want to minimize taxes on the inherited retirement funds, she is moving her mom's retirement to an inherited IRA. You have to drain it completely within 10 years but can do it on any schedule you like. We are putting a nice chunk in SPYI so that we can enjoy that dividend income. We will use it to offset my daughter's out of state tuition, which aligns perfectly with what my MIL would like since she was an instructor at ACC. SPYI dividends are also qualified so they're at the 15% rate which is also nice. When we retire in 6-7 years, we will not draw our own retirement until she cashes in the inherited IRA to minimize our total income and taxes those first couple of years.
  17. What party is going to have the ball sack to do that? The Dems? They're going to save us?
  18. Agreed. Unluckily, there’s just the house, a bank account, a pension, and a 401K for assets. Luckily, there’s no debt at all. The funeral home said a week for the death certificate so closing shouldn’t be delayed at all. My wife was already a co-owner on the bank account. The 401K and any pension payout will be rolled into an inherited IRA for my wife. The timing works for our retirement in 6 years so that we could not draw our own retirement and just takes the required payout from the inherited IRA to minimize taxes that year. The title company already sent updated documents for my wife to sign. I emailed at 9pm and it arrived at 7am. They must really want to get paid.
  19. I liked it but the ending simultaneously ties up a few loose ends and is tonally WTF. It is a much smaller movie than the trailers lead you to believe. Also, after you watch it, you’ll understand why the porn parody will be called 28 Inches Later. Samson must’ve been splitting ladies in half with that hog.
  20. It was filed with the county clerk. By execute, I just mean that I have to provide a death certificate for the transfer to happen. The title company is in the loop.
  21. As durable power of attorney, my wife is selling her mom’s house. It is under contract with closing scheduled for late July. The kicker is her mom just passed away. There is a transfer on death deed that will transfer the property to my wife. My question is, can she proceed with the sale as the POA or do we have to execute the TOD deed prior to sale?
  22. Please include The Flying Spaghetti Monster's "The Eight I'd Really Rather You Didn'ts" 1. Don't be a sanctimonious jerk: Don't act superior or judgmental about others' beliefs. 2. Don't use my existence to oppress: Don't use religion to harm or control others. 3. Don't judge people based on appearance: Treat everyone with respect, regardless of how they look or dress. 4. Don't engage in harmful behavior: Don't do anything that would offend yourself or a consenting adult. 5. Don't build temples: The FSM doesn't want extravagant displays of worship. 6. Don't put people in cages: This is a more direct call to action against oppression. 7. Don't work too much: Prioritize happiness and well-being over endless work. 8. Don't censor things: Encouraging open discussion and freedom of thought.
  23. From what I've read, the manual stuffer is the way to go though. My grinder will do it, and I got a cheap foot switch to control things. So I'll probably try that first since I have it. But looking down the road, the manual route may be the way. Shitty video quality but you don't need equipment...
