  3. OK so #5 on that list is my bank Frost. I’m not a bank auditor. Cause for concern? I’m out of the market. What’s the best way to spread the risk? A dozen different bank accounts? Higher interest rates in MMAs if deposits are higher. Spreading it out costs quite a bit in interest. CDARS, but that limits me to CDs. Maybe just a number of 90 or 180 day CDs? Any way to get additional insurance?
  4. Say a person had well in excess of $250K in a major Texas bank. Cause for concern?

  14. yes, these are smooth ostrich classic ropers that I got a hell of a deal on at Cavenders, for ~$350, so re-soling them for $350 seems ridiculous and it will take 3-4 months! ======== Howdy! 15. Is there a consensus on a good place to re-sole some Lucchese in the Austin area or just send them back to Lucchese ($350 quoted, seems high)?
  16. Instead of blowing them up with missiles, how about a round or 2 of 50 cal to deflate the balloon slowly, track it down to earth, recover it intact and study it.
  17. If Texas and the charge was a class A misdemeanor assault bodily injury - family violence and the disposition was a successfully completed (dismissed) deferred adjudication, then it is not a conviction under Texas law or federal law. What is a conviction under federal law is determined by the law of the state where the conviction occurred. While a successfully completed deferred counts as a conviction for enhancement purposes (increased punishment for subsequent offense), the state of Texas doesn’t not consider a deferred a conviction. And therefore the possession of a firearm or ammunition would not violate Texas law, ch 46 of the Texas Penal Code, or federal firearm law, 18 USC 922. There was mention above of an order of non disclosure (AKA sealing). It is not permitted for family violence cases.
  18. Also wrong. And you don’t get background checks at the courthouse. If I know the state, exact criminal charge and correct disposition of the case, I can answer the question.
  19. In what state was the charge? This is wrong.
