1) The Hamm 0/15 predictions

"Predicting the Aggies' 2016 Defensive Finish by Taylor Hamm, Dec 8, 2015

Texas A&M has 10-11 spots left to fill in their 2016 recruiting class. GigEm247’s Taylor Hamm takes a stab at predicting the Aggies’ finish on the defensive side of the ball.

1. Nacogdoches DB Brandon Jones: Officially visiting Texas A&M this weekend. Has plans to make a decision on National Signing Day. The Aggies’ main competition appears to be the Texas Longhorns but the five-star prospect is still considering Ole Miss, Oregon, Auburn, LSU and Baylor. Kevin Sumlin’s program is still the overwhelming favorites to land the Nation’s top rated safety.

2. Aldine Davis LB Jeffrey McCulloch: The Under Armour All-American linebacker was a Longhorn lean in the early stages of his recruitment but John Chavis has made a big impact on the four-star defender. He will be in on his official visit this weekend and we should know whether or not he intends to announce his decision in January or push it back after he returns from College Station. If the Top247 prospect stays in-state all signs point towards McCulloch choosing the Aggies. If he leaves the Lone Star State, it will be a Stanford/Notre Dame battle.

3. FB Elkins DT Ross Blacklock: Also officially visiting College Station this week, the Army All-American is leaning towards A&M at the moment and is expected to announce his commitment in San Antonio. However, there is a chance the four-star run stopper elects to take a few more visits after the dead period so there’s a chance he ends up taking a little more time before making a commitment. Considered an LSU/A&M battle, we’re hearing the Tigers are not pursuing as hard as they once were.

4. Saguaro (AZ) CB Byron Murphy: I originally put my Crystal Ball pick in for the Army All-American to A&M back in the early spring time but after the Aggies’ lost out on the N’Keal Harry sweepstakes, all signs pointed towards the four-star prospect staying close to home. However, over the past few weeks, things have taken a turn and now the Aggies and Washington Huskies has emerged as the frontrunners. With Murphy expected to announce his decision during the dead period, there’s a good chance we see a YESSIR! pop up around Christmas time.

5. Waco DB Eric Cuffee: In a matter of a few weeks this summer, the Aggies went from being eliminated after not offering in the springtime to the perceived favorites for the Under Armour All-American. This weekend the four-star ball-hawk will be in Austin officially visiting the Longhorns but there’s not much Charlie Strong and his staff can do to delay the inevitable on January 2nd.

6. Wildcard: The Aggies will likely take more than five defensive prospects to round out this class but will they land one of the remaining targets they are “still in the running” for listed below or will they get in on an under-the-radar prospect late in the process? This time of the year is always crazy with the numbers crunch so it’s tough to predict.

Still in the running: Serra (CA) DL Oluwole Betiku (USC), John Ehret (Arkansas) LB Michael Divinity (LSU), St. Augustine (LA) DT D'Andre Christmas-Giles (Texas), Santa Fe (OK) LB Calvin Bundage (OK St.), Kristian Fulton (LSU), North Shore DB Eric Monroe (LSU), Calvary Baptist CB Andraez Williams (LSU), Haywood (TN) DE Emmit Gooden, Wossman (Miss St.) DB Cameron Lewis (LSU) and Spring Westfield DT Ed Oliver (Houston)" (nobody picked A&M)

5) Taylor Hamm stalks Stephen Parker in the bathroom.
From Texags:

"The long and short of it is that Parker was ready to commit that night when he got home. Near the end of his visit, I've been told he was followed into a bathroom and questioned by a certain someone from 247. This is completely against university and NCAA policy and it rubbed Parker the wrong way. When he got home and talked it over with his parents it REALLY bothered them and his father has been adamantly against A&M ever since. This isn't the first time other sites have rubbed prospects the wrong way, either."

11) 6figs WRTS article. Texas ended up with a better recruiting class the next two years.
http://tamu.247sports.com/Article/WR...shtag-30612727

"Lets face it, whether or not you agree with the Aggies’ new catchphrase, you can’t argue the rankings since Kevin Sumlin arrived to College Station. In two full recruiting cycles as head coach, Sumlin has finished with the highest ranked recruiting class in the Lone Star State. Whether or not these blue-chip prospects help A&M win more games this upcoming season is yet to be determined. But one thing is for certain, these current 2015 and 2016 commitments, these future Texas Aggies, will “Run This State” under the lights on Friday nights."

"Perhaps the most damning proof that Texas A&M in fact runs the state of Texas in recruiting, can be summed up with the commitments of George Ranch DE Kingsley Keke and Sulphur Springs safety Larry Pryor. Both standout defensive prospects grew up die-hard Texas Longhorn fans. They were also top targets for Mack Brown and his successor Charlie Strong."
