Day and Kiffin are arguably the 2 greatest CFB coaches of all time

Either you're trolling or this is the dumbest thing you've ever posted (which is really saying something).

If Lane went 8-4 for the next 10 years at Miss, they build a statue and name the stadium after him. 8-4 for 3 years gets you fired at LSU.

WGAF if he's fired in three years. I'm sure he doesn't. They'll owe him the rest of the $100M and he likely isn't unemployed very long. He's got a much greater chance of winning a title at LSU than he did at Ole Miss.

what an insane contract. gets paid bonuses for Ole Miss' CFP success. Now you know why he really wanted to stay and coach them.

Well…look at who took the job? If even half the rumors are true (like him stalking an ex  girlfriend nearly 30 years his junior and his showing up to and getting thrown out of her brother’s wake) then none of this LSU shit bothers him

What is this you type of?

Ole Miss could not have allowed him to remain on the payroll, coach and recruit to their revival from inside their building. He should have announced earlier and left with the same result. There’s just no good way/time to leave. I fault OM for allowing the drama to go on as long as I did.

He finished the regular season without sacrificing games. That’s the best they could have hoped for.

Coach O brought home a MNC trophy in 2019

And he was out two years later.   Since the 80’s,  LSU coaches average 4 to 5 seasons and they were gone for one reason or another.  The exception was Les Miles who managed 12.

But what could he have done differently? If he had announced a decision sooner, he would have had to leave his team and maybe cause them to lose games as a result. He could have announced right after the Egg Bowl and shit on his team’s celebration.

He could have waited until the end of the year until he actually started to engage in conversations with multiple colleges.

Why the fuck did you think Ole Miss gave him a deadline to make a decision?

This whole thing is really shitty.  Whoever is responsible for the current rules sucks.  The rules surrounding the calendar created this situation.  Both parties did what they had to do, which sucks for the coach, the institution, the players, the coaching staff, everyone involved.  Lane Kiffin might be a giant piece of shit; the Ole Miss AD might be a giant dumbass, but neither side is at fault for how this played out.  It's really unfortunate and should be changed immediately.

Sucks for the coach? Dude just got a significant raise and he didn't have to talk with multiple schools at the same time.

I think the people who give a fuck need him to win a title to prove they are right about him. He hasn’t bagged a MNC in 11 years as a HC. This year is an * year because he wasn’t allowed to continue coaching. So if coach O and Les Miles can win and we all know they are “special” what does it say about Lane if he doesn’t bag an MNC there? Not much. I guess.

I mean I cannot lie I don’t win him to win jackshit.

I want him to wind up being chased down on campus and getting his ass kicked by a father of some 18 year old he has been banging while the student population films it and uploads it to TikTok. then he gets being fired bc the 18 year old is a huge BMD’s daughter before he can win jack shit  and he retires from the sport.

And then years later re-emerges to advertise some new revolutionary herpes cream on commercials. And goes back to making his Kiffin’s Korner podcasts.

So I guess I’m no different from the people who want him to succeed and win an MNC. It’s been 11 years…

I can’t get on the same level as some of you. I do not feel badly for Ole Miss the school or the players. They made their bed with Kiffin. And I don’t hate Kiffin. He’s a great coach and I’m not going to get self righteous about a man I’ve never met. Some of you are very emotional.

University presidents average 6.5 years.  What’s your point?

Saban won 1 title in his first 15 years as a head coach. Mack brown, Bobby Bowden and Joe paterno all coached 15-20 years before they won a title. If he works the portal and finds the roster Brian Kelly had his first couple seasons then he’s going to light the sec up.

Do he and Lane share the same agent?

Actually, sort of. Same agency.

Kiffin, James Franklin, Kirby, DeBoer, Saban, Sark, Norvell, Chesney, Dabo, Lanning are all represented by Jimmy Sexton.

So Saban's career path mirrors Lane?

And Clark Lea (Vandy’s HC), Mark Stoops (fired Kentucky Coach), Billy Napier (fired Florida coach). Sexton reps nearly all of the coaches in the SEC.
