Have you ever killed anyone?

Macanudo

Yeah. but they were all bad.

The first 2/3 of this movie is great but once Harry gets into the Harrier and goes out to rescue his daughter it sucks.  And this comes from a Dad who would get into a Harrier to save one of the Macanudo-ettes.

Speaking of...   I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or not but they work work at Omega Sector - The last line of defense.  Their boss is Charleton Heston who played Robert Neville in The Omega Man (original version of I am Legend).   Always wondered if that was on purpose.

And yes, I know Omega is the last word in the greek alphabet.

Tom Arnold's greatest role.

Almost.

True Lies gave Arnold the confidence and gravitas to portray a bolo-tied Texan in another spy thriller three years later. His stoic, perfectly timed deliveries in the face of perceived extreme gastrointestinal disturbance carried the film's pivotal scene, in which the protagonist fights for his life in a casino bathroom.

I'll disagree and say a Harrier blowing away an entire floor full of terrorists is pretty good in my book. Now the main bad guy jumping on the Harrier is goofy but so is Arnold trying to chase him down on a horse. I'll always remember the audible groans from the theater audience I was watching this with when Arnold was going to try to jump off the roof with the horse.

Okay, make it quick because my horse is getting tired.

Your horse?

RIP Bill Paxton. Shot by shot perfection as the used car salesman. Hollywood failed us by not making a Simon spinoff. Would have killed on 90’s HBO.

Tom Arnold’s career after this film also makes me sad. Roseanne, substance abuse just did him in, but for a few weeks in 1994 he was brilliant as the funny man to Arnold’s straight man.
