From Texas but live in PA. Every Thanksgiving since I basically was born we had Greenberg turkey for Thanksgiving. Well it apparently exploded yesterday and it’s up in the air if they have inventory (we already ordered but yea).

Do any of you fine folks know any similar (pretty heavily) smoked turkeys that can be shipped to me in Pennsylvania?

Hadn't heard about Greenberg.  Their birds are excellent and consistent.

These guys are out of Menard, Texas and do a pretty good mail-order mesquite-smoked turkey.   https://www.brisket.net/productDetails.aspx?productID=7322&departmentName=Poultry&productName=Mesquite-Smoked-Turkey,-Size-Approx.-8---10-lbs

I've used them for business holiday gifts in the past (usually a gift assortment) and they have been well-received.  Their whole catalog is at www.brisket.net.

Good luck.

Glad no one was hurt in the Greenberg Turkey explosion.  And that sucks because I know a lot of people really like them and I hate to see them as a business get hit like this.

But the joke among friends has been, for years, that they smoke their turkeys by hanging a bunch of them in a house, then burning the house down.  Too soon, I know.  Anyway, I don't think these are as smokey, but they're not bad.

Grew up in Longview and forgot all about this place. Hm, this vs a Black’s or Kreuz... decisions, decisions.

Get one there every year. Love that place. The absolute best.

Be sure to get a smoked pepper tenderloin while you’re at it.
