Medical alert devices for the olds

So, the GF's mom lives alone, and she took a spill the other day.  She's fine, but it scared her.  We think she needs a medical alert bracelet or necklace.

She doesn't have internet, but she does have an iphone, and it looks as though bluetooth devices are available that work through an app.

Anybody have experience with any of these things?  Recs?

Get her an Apple Watch. It has fall detection and can contact 911 and other people listed on an emergency contacts list.

needs to be charged every day which is a PITA and will ensure people like my old folks not to wear it

I'd seriously look for one like this that has GPS and fall detect.

For comparisons to Life Alert

That fall detect feature might be worth the upcharge.  Worse case with anyone falling and in particular Seniors is they land on their hands and arms and can't  move them to push the button on some of the lower end devices.  The GPS is also good because from experience in the Senior care world, many Children do not know in some cases their parent(s) might be in early dementia .  Not necessary the kid's fault because it could be they are are not around their parents enough to see the tell-tell signs.  They might not find out until in incident occurs after the fact.
