Jen Psaki is Good at this Job

I mean, a big part of her job is to defend the White House against loaded questions.  If she's actually been so effective in her responses that the people who asked the loaded questions feel stupid and don't want to play anymore, then she's a first ballot Press Secretary Hall of Famer.

And Hannity sounds like a big fat aggy complaining that the lady who's whipping all their asses isn't doing it in a classy enough manner.

Just call her a cunt because she's smarter than you.  You know you want to.  Let it out.

I don't know anything about her so I googled. I love this:

Stepped right up to block a man who came onto the stage and at Harris. Sounds like the cool head to replace the brilliant Psaki.

I wouldn't classify that person wearing all black, facing Kamala, as a "man".  Men aren't shaped that way.

There’s a difference between activists online circulating the address of conservative judges supporting the overturn of a decades-long court decision, one which is supported by a large majority of the country, and a Republican committee sharing the neighborhood where a Democratic spokesperson lives just to be a dick about it.

Compared to the lying pieces of shit that Trump trotted out there, (except for Stephanie Grisham, of course, who holds the unique distinction of never holding a single press conference during 9 months on the job,) Psaki’s performance has been exemplary. And yet she suffers threats to herself and her family.

Psaki: Threats to family were ‘most personally difficult’ part of press secretary job

Outgoing White House press secretary Jen Psaki on Thursday described in personal terms her 16-month tenure as President Joe Biden’s top spokesperson and the strains of the job, telling a group of reporters over breakfast that she had received threats to her family, which warranted Secret Service involvement.

“I will say the thing that has been hardest personally is I’ve had threats,” Psaki said during the event, which was sponsored by the Christian Science Monitor and took place at the St. Regis hotel in Washington, D.C.

“I have had nasty letters, texts to me with my personal address, the names of my children,” she said. “It crosses lines, and that’s when it becomes a little scary. And that has been the most personally difficult aspect of this job.”

Psaki said the safety of her two children, who are 4 and 6 years old, remains “a real concern,” as some of the messages she received were from “people threatening to come to my house.”

“There have been cases where I’ve had to share information with [the Secret Service], and I certainly have shared information with them,” Psaki said, adding that no one threatening has appeared outside her personal residence.

“Not yet,” Psaki added, although “there is a circulation of my address among the Arlington Republican Party right now.” Earlier this week, amid abortion rights protests outside the homes of Supreme Court justices, the Arlington County Republican Committee in Virginia revealed the neighborhood where Psaki lives.

In a statement to POLITICO on Thursday, the Arlington GOP responded to Psaki’s accusation, saying it “has not publicly disseminated any Biden Administration official’s home address, unlike the hordes of progressive activists online who have disseminated the addresses of Justices of the Supreme Court.”

The Arlington GOP did not immediately respond to a follow-up inquiry about whether it had otherwise circulated Psaki’s address internally or among its members.

Following the event featuring Psaki on Thursday, the Arlington GOP’s official Twitter account shared several posts criticizing her in reference to the recent Supreme Court protests.

Psaki is set to leave her post on Friday and will be replaced by her principal deputy, Karine Jean-Pierre, who is poised to become the first Black person and openly gay person to serve as White House press secretary.

The insurrectionists assaulting the Capitol on Jan 6 last year were so white that even the guy holding the “Blacks for Trump” sign was a white dude. The diversity in the Biden administration crushes that of the Trump administration so fuck off with that bullshit. Also, Karine Jean-Pierre says go fuck yourself.

It's still incorrect, though. The CSM hosts the breakfast and it is tradition for the outgoing press secretary to stop by. The Monitor hosts "Monitor breakfasts" at the St. Regis regularly. They have reps from both parties for Q&A sessions and this was what this was. Sadly, that tweet is  just more fodder for the intellectually lazy that retweet and move on to the next dur dur moment.

This country would be a better place if there were more pics like this.

Honestly, fuck that. These weren't two worthy adversaries sharing a moment of kindness/respect amid their disagreements. It's not the 4th estate doing their due diligence, asking the difficult questions, and challenging the answers of our nation's elected officials. It's just some douchebag looking for a sound bite to bring back to his clown show of a network to add to their lies, disinformation, and dangerous propaganda.

That picture makes it seem like they're all playing the same game. They're not.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. I can't tell the ethnicity of many persons seated there and there is no shortage of women.

Are you trying to make yourself feel better about the openly racist persons you count as political comrades by saying, See, they're not perfectly diverse, either? Does this suggest that inclusion not done perfectly should not be attempted at all? It would fit the dogma. We don't do it at all, but you do it poorly!

Or, are you scorning the actual diversity in the picture which would also align with the right's actions?

Very strange. At least you guys don't have a pedo ring that fucks and eats babies like all those socialists on the left.

I'll never forget the first shaggybevo happy hour that blacklab hosted at Shoal Creek Saloon. There were a good 40 or so shagsters who had never met each other for the most part who all got together and drank beer and got to know eachother and had a great time. Except you. You and your buddy sat way back in the dark corner and never spoke to anyone. Perhaps there were too many brown people in the group. Maybe too many tall people or short people. No idea... all i know is that you were a scared little bitch who looked like he'd never attended a real social gathering in his life.

But please... lecture us on diversity. You're such a person of the world.

It's odd how you just get accustomed to some images no matter their original impact. I passed over this a second time in this thread and stopped to review it.

The police losing their ground at a barrier with the squad on the right in danger of being enveloped. The sheer size of the mob and it's fury. This must have felt like the Alamo. Where's the relief? Where's the national guard? Surely they'll be here any minute. Pushed past exhaustion and still fighting.

I still believe the most dangerous aspect for Trump is his interference with the chain of  command and ultimately trying to cancel out the Army probably using the Flynn brother as well as the toadies he installed to head Defense. These are the men and women he abandoned on the front line. He abandoned them in hopes of doing whatever necessary to the men and women in the building to maintain power.

No wonder so many of those cops have suffered PTSD and other mental health issues.

Let us not forget the visceral reaction we had. Let us not let these images get lost in the shuffle of the thousands we process each day.

A gathering of harmless tourists.

Trump's cabal should hang.

Here's another visual contrast to keep this post mildly on topic.
