didn't someone else just die in a bike accident? shit is going around.

Shawn Bradley, but I don’t think he died, just paralyzed.  Really tall people in Utah should probably avoid riding bikes.

I remember when I first saw him play on TV in 1988. He made Kareem look small and Gobert looks much smaller than he actually is in that picture of the two of them. He looked so intimidating with the beard, but off the court he was apparently just a normal guy who enjoyed life thoroughly. Rest in Peace big fella.

Those teams with Eaton, Stockton and Malone were when I first started watching the NBA.  I hated when my team played them; the pick-and-rolls, and the Blocks. I loved to hate those teams, but in a good fan-of-another-team way. I have a lot of good memories from the NBA from that period, and Eaton played a part in that.

RIP big guy.  64 is just to soon.

In case anyone else is curious, this is the road he crashed on.   Sadly, I'd put my money on a Heart Attack as the cause of the crash.

Yeah, I'd be really surprised if it was just a crash that killed him.  As a Spurs fan, I hated those Utah teams he was on, but it was mostly directed at Malone and Stockton.  Eaton always seemed like a really good guy.  RIP.

I hated Mark Eaton the NBA player. He would legitimately give Hakeem fits as he was a hell of a defender and block specialist. I'm sorry he passed.

He made Hakeem look like a very active, elusive child in stature.

RIP. Karl Malone can suck it though. Billy Paultz too, that bastard.

Thanks for posting that pic.

Several sources have said it was a heart attack.
