Describe the worst thing you’ve seen on the Internet without linking to it

To be clear, I do not want to see any of this stuff. But inevitably you stumble upon something on the Internet that you wish you’d never seen.

I’ve managed to avoid two girls one cup, tubgirl, blue waffle and lemon party. But I did once see some pics of a guy who had been attacked by a grizzly. His legs were stripped to the bare bone. It was super gnarly, and it still haunts me occasionally.

I’m sure that’s tame compared to some of you miscreants. Let er rip!

I dont know what site I was on where I was able to click to the video but it was about a horrific accident at an F1 practice session in the 70s. This man was on the track due to a being a safety marshall, I think and was moving away from the track when a car hits him and sends him flying. He is already in two pieces and the fire extinguisher he was carrying hits the driver of the car on his head and you see it snap back too far. Apparently, his chin strap garroted him and left him partially decapitated. He died instantly too. Some safety marshall.

I’m not even going to describe it. But back in the day when you accessed porn via a text interface, downloaded it, decoded it, then viewed it, sometimes it didn’t turn out as advertised. I saw some shit I never dreamed existed. (Oops, I sort of gave it away.)

His mom yanked his crank while his arms were broken? Google came back with a hit about an AMA on reddit. Some of you people are snowflakes. I mean that is gross but there is way worse shit out there unless this guy was a good writer and was able to give you the willies in the telling of the tale.

It was a funny ama and most likely all fake.

Not the worst thing on the Internet, but the batch of pictures that made the rounds a while ago featuring lotus seed pods photoshopped onto nipples, fingertips, faces, etc., was unexpectedly disturbing.

i recently learned that this is an actual thing (trypophobia) and that i also suffer from a mild case of it! 😝

heeey... you should get some lotus seed pods and stick them to the pumpkin monster!! 😂

Never seen anyone murdered. Glad for that.

I did see a shot of a guy who had allegedly hopped a freeway retaining wall while running from the cops, and fell much farther than he expected. He landed on a spiked fence in just such a way to decapitate himself and leave his head on one of the spikes.

ETA: looks like that one is on Snopes, and true, with pics. I don’t recommend it.

About 5 or 6 members of one cartel (I think at least 2 were women) on the ground kneeling and blindfolded with their hands tied behind their backs. More members of another cartel standing behind them holding sledgehammers and axes on their shoulders. After the reading of some statement, and then.the word go the guys with tools in their hands start wailing on the heads of those kneeling on the ground. They beat and hack until the remains are in small enough parts to stuff into already burning 55 gallon metal drums.

I think they were trying to send a message....

Cartel killing 2 men with chainsaws.  Buried up to their shoulders in dirt. Chainsaw wasn’t running great, and didn’t seem extra sharp.  They had to work way harder at it then you’d imagine.  That one always stuck with me.

If that’s the dude with dreads yeah it was pretty fucked. I only saw a still pic of it, thankfully.

It's interesting, and more than just kind of fucked up how easy it is for us all to know what specific video, images, or incidents we're referring to for the most part.

After a little thought (and thanks for that, OP...) I think the most upsetting thing I've seen was of some dude in the ER with the lower half of his face all mangled and missing. It was unclear whether he was a motorcyclist without a full-face helmet or if he was a failed suicide by gun under the chin, but the absolute worst part of the picture was the sheer terror and the total awareness and comprehension of the situation that you could see in his eyes.

Pretty telling that most of these are death and gore type things.

Also, once you’ve seen some you realize just how realistic some shit in movies can be.  And it makes me wonder how many special effects people watch this shit over and over to make sure they get it right.

Not a video but a firefighter/emt that was training us told us about the time he responded to a guy that flinched at the last second and pulled the shotgun away enough to remove his lower jaw, upper palate and nose, but didn’t kill him. Guy walked over and banged on neighbors door because he didn’t know what else to do. Neighbor called 911 after who knows what reaction.

I personally ran a call where a 17 year old (mad at his parents) stuck a 20ga under his chin and pulled the trigger. He had it at too shallow of an angle and took off the front of his face. I waited for him to cough and stuck my ET tube down the hole from where the blood and teeth shot up from, secured his airway and transported. Strange thing is about 2 years later ran into the kid, he was blind and still had a horribly disfigured face but he could speak well enough that I could understand him. He apologized for the trouble he caused us that day. What do you say to something like that? A couple years later a medic friend called to tell me that they had run on this young man again....this time he did it right .45 to the temple.

I've got to salute all of you folks who deal with those types of things. Hell I damned near fainted reading your description.

Isn’t there a site that aggregates these pictures?

I took only one look and wanted to bleach my eyes.

The worst picture I saw was the guy attacked by the bear with his flesh ripped off his bones. Don’t need to see anything that makes my balls want to shrink back int my body.

Yes, this......

It was extremely disturbing.  I still think about it, and I don't know why.

I don't even know why it's disturbing.  Probably because they look like wasp nests and I hate wasps.

I never want to see any of this shit anymore, but have seen a few of the gore pictures and videos mentioned here. Probably wasn't healthy to view stuff like Daniel Pearl as a teenager but guess I turned out okay. shrug

But one of the scariest videos that stuck with me can be found on Youtube, the Station nightclub fire. When the camera guy who escaped the building comes back around to the front door just seconds after he got out and people are stuck, just totally wedged and crushed together blocking the doorway with smoke billowing out through them. That combined with the screaming. Terrifying.

Also I remember the first time I watched it, linked from reddit I think, knowing it killed 99 people, and it's a five or six minute video that starts with normal concert footage. I'm like is this the right video? The speed of that event freaked me out.

I'm just a low level ECA on my company's emergency response team and over 25+ years the worst we've had were a few cardiac arrests/TIAs and scary diabetic emergencies. Oh, and the one guy in the carpentry shop who had a band saw blade buck on him and ended up putting a gash in his thigh that missed both his femoral and his pecker. Lucky sumbitch.

Anyway, to get CEs the team would go to the annual trauma conference. Six hours of lecture and a free lunch for 8 CEs was a good deal. Some years it would be at the Wildflower Center or a hospital. One year it was at the Pickle Center and one of the speakers was a trauma surgeon, ex-military, who'd done a few stints in Iraq and the ME. When powerpoint goes from a wall of text to a video clip of a trauma team working on a soldier who's been cut in half by an IED...well, let's just say my interest in the free lunch was wiped out.

The worst thing I have ever seen on the internet was on TOS.  It was on the thread, NSFW Horrible Shit You Can't Unsee, or something to that effect.  I didn't look at everything on there, but for whatever reason I clicked on one thing that scarred me for life.  It was photos of men who had cut off their own dicks.  Apparently it's a mental condition or a fetish or something.  But there were pics of a bunch of stumps or less.  Can't unsee.

My god that was the first thing I thought of except that had to be in the early 2000's when I saw it.  Still to this day I don't know if I have some condition that makes those images disturbing to me they way they did.  I still can't explain it.  I mean, the images themselves are harmless and probably have no effect on most people but it triggers something in my brain that I can't explain.  It's good to know I'm the not the only one at least.

Okay I answered too soon without reading all the way down.  Trypophobia, I'm gonna have to do some reading on that.
