Seems like this course gets a fair share of longshot winners - 2011 Darren Clarke, 2003 Ben Curtis, 1981 Bill Rogers

Coverage on Golf Channel, NBC, NBCSports.com and Peacock and The Open app

Jordan has practice rounds today with Snedeker & Finau, nothing on the books for tomorrow, Wednesday early with JT, Cantlay and Xander, and Thursday  with JT, Rickie & Jimmy Walker

Rain forecast to end by Thursday, but wind (it is The Open afterall)

Looking for Jordan to win a major for the first time since 2017, and get his first 2nd win of a major, hoping he doesn't get wrong-sided with the draw.

Doing our pool again.  2 from the top 10, 2 from 11-20, and 3 from 21+ in the owr.

The Open is different.  It's not always the best players.  It's for those who play these courses best.  Euros typically do well.  Thoughts on picks?

Rahm, JT
Victor, Oosty
Jordan, Casey, Poulter (and yes I threw up a little when I typed IJP's name)

I don't know.  I struggle to see JT doing well on this type of track.  Maybe I'm wrong.

And how is Spieth remaining in the 20's?

I think Rahm will be the trendy pick, and will end up cancelling out a lot of picks if every has him.  I'm feeling

Bryson, Schauffele

Louie, Hovland

Jordan, Lowry, and x (Casey, Fleetwood, Westwood, Morikawa)

Bryson is not in great form and his plan of just smash driver 350 and see will not work well in this environment IMO. I agree with the above poster on JT.

Yeah it will be interesting to see if the bombers can avoid the pot bunkers; because they can be a harsh penalty

Yep. Also St. George's is notorious for lots of random knobs and bounces and obv those are harder to account for the more you are throwing it out there. Brooks mentioned there are lots of blind shots and shots where you aren't hitting at anything which feels bad for that strat. We shall see!

just noticed that the sports book associated with america's cardroom (poker site) has crazy good futures odds:

image.png.4e00f2dac1d82df01d60d709f20fd68f.png

On my regular book, the odds for a few of these are: Rahm  +650, Rory+1400, Spieth+1600, BCD +2200, Oosthuizen +2500, Fleetwood +3300, Scheffler +3300, Westwood +3300. Those are pretty large differences. In the off chance anybody here uses ACR and plans to wager on the Open, I cant imagine you would find better odds elsewhere. I had no idea their sportsbook option even existed until recently.

Westwood (80-1) seems mandatory.  Phil (125-1) and Fowler (69-1) both finished top 10 last time the Open was held at RSG. And then I have to consider Scheffler (60-1) as well as he has been playing. May toss in Spieth and one or two others. Futures are always a crapshoot, but some of these odds are tempting.

edit -  a little internet research indicates ACR uses bookmaker.eu. I checked that site and the odds are the same. Don't know if they take American clients, but thats the source of those lines.

Two days playing in the same group as Bryson may knock Spieth out of contention -- I sure as Hell wouldn't want to play in the same group as that putz BDC...

Staying away from Bryson Dechambeau at The Open Championship

I can't wait till Koepka and BCD get paired in a tournament at some point soon...

I pretty much hate every single thing about Bryson. What a douche

Why? I've watched interviews with the guy and he seems to be okay. Koepka seems like the bigger douche, and he fancies himself an intimidating badass. Fuck this National Enquirer bs.
