The Noem daughter story is the following:

  • Adult daughter couldn't get her real estate appraisal license from the state
  • There was a meeting/hearing for the daughter to appeal the decision. State officials and employees make the decision.
  • Noem attended the hearing to support her daughter. Reminder, Noem is the governor.
  • Daughter received the license.

sounds perfectly legit.

How do you not get a fucking real estate license?  They give those things out at Coups for fuck's sakes.  I think I got two last week in the mail alone.  Nevermind what I clear at after-hours bars.

Fair enough.  Maybe in South Dakota, it's an honest trade.  But the next Appraiser I meet in Austin that knows their shit will be the first.  My last 3 interactions with appraisers in Texas (multi-family and single family investments)...after appeal with the lender...none of them were within 90% of the final approved amount.  That's pretty fucking bad to barely get under triple digit agreements with the final underwriters.  I'm a little soured on their industry right now.

Having said that, I'm sure the Noem girl will suck and fuck her way to a fruitful real estate appraisal career.

Now that's a room that smells like reused bacon grease.

Whoa there, big fella.  Anyone who doesn't have a standing jar/can of bacon grease available for regular use is a commie nazi terrorist who hates America.  Or they're jewish.  But I digress.  Reusing bacon grease is one of the things that is good in life.

That, and trampy brunettes who like to play self-righteous but in the end, are just as trampy as you hoped.

The desk story is a nice diversion as well.

https://www.thedailybeast.com/south-dakota-gov-kristi-noem-used-prison-labor-to-build-a-dollar9000-deskthen-got-a-discount

Quote

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem seems to have found the perfect use of state prison labor: building a $9,000 black walnut wood desk—and then getting a discount.

That’s the claim at the center of a Dakota News Now investigation, one that finds Noem’s support of the South Dakota State Penitentiary at odds with the work asked of Pheasantland Industries, the prison’s workshop.

After an initial inquiry last year, Noem commissioned an 80-inch long, 3-foot wide Black Walnut desk in April from Pheasantland, which allows inmates to learn a trade for 50 cents an hour. The order, which came from the governor’s office, asked for basic desk cutouts.

Then Noem wanted changes, according to unnamed corrections sources cited by Dakota News Now. She ordered an expansion from 80 inches to more than 100 to accommodate another person, forcing the desk to be redesigned. She later asked for other features, such as brass embossing, a state map on the top, a footrest, and a gun holder.

Some other inclusions were added—and hidden—by the inmates on their own, per the news outlet’s sources: the etched signatures of those who worked on the desk, along with the name of a prison manager Noem fired. Noem fired Pheasantland Director Stefany Bawek last month, though it’s unclear if she is the inscribed name.

Spoiler

Pheasantland totaled the final build at $9,000, but the interim corrections secretary reportedly ordered them to discount the bill. That provided a $3,000 loss to the prison workshop, with Dakota News Now reporting that some inmates’ work was changed from paid time to unspecified “training time” as a result. Pheasantland paid $8.20 per foot for the black walnut boards but, after the discount, the cost for Noem dropped to $2.02, according to the outlet.

Noem spokesman Ian Fury told the Associated Press that the initial cost for the desk was between $5,000 and $6,000 and denied Noem would get a discount. He insisted Noem intended to pay the full cost herself once she receives the final invoice, and taxpayers wouldn’t foot the bill.

“She wanted a new desk,” he said, adding that the grand piece may end up in her official office.

To State Sen. Troy Heinert, a Democrat, the desk is just an unnecessary purchase, telling Dakota News Now it was “troubling that the governor needs a $9,000 desk when quite a few South Dakotans don’t have a $9,000 car.”

Noem called the meeting with the employee that was going to deny the license and her daughter attended, I don't think it was to appeal.

In September 2019, Peters applied to become a certified residential appraiser. But in late July 2020, the Appraiser Certification Program moved to deny the license, according to a July 27 letter from Peters’ supervisor that was obtained by AP. The certification is denied when an applicant’s work samples don’t meet minimum compliance with national standards, according to the agency’s upgrade procedures.

Bren, who had directed the Appraiser Certification Program for three decades, told the AP that she received a text on July 26 from her supervisor telling her to be at the governor’s office the next morning, ready to discuss “appraiser certification procedures.”

Besides Noem and Peters, Bren said the meeting included Labor Secretary Marcia Hultman; Bren’s supervisor; the governor’s general counsel; and, participating by telephone, Noem’s chief of staff and a lawyer from the state’s Department of Labor and Regulation.

Bren remembered it lasting close to an hour and including questions from Noem on how certification works.

Thanks for the clarification. So basically that state dept was going to get the governor's full attention until they gave the governor's daughter a license. In that situation, I would probably give the daughter the license and then package up all of the info for the press.

and thats not even the end of it.... that fuckery cost the state an extra 200K.

Just days after a South Dakota agency moved to deny her daughter’s application to become a certified real estate appraiser, Gov. Kristi Noem summoned to her office the state employee who ran the agency, the woman’s direct supervisor and the state labor secretary.

Noem’s daughter attended too.

Kassidy Peters, then 26, ultimately obtained the certification in November 2020, four months after the meeting at her mother’s office. A week after that, the labor secretary called the agency head, Sherry Bren, to demand her retirement, according to an age discrimination complaint Bren filed against the department. Bren, 70, ultimately left her job this past March after the state paid her $200,000 to withdraw the complaint.

As a taxpayer of South Dakota, I personally want to thank Noem for using our money wisely.

Look, I'll gladly pay $14 to finger bang her but in the end, wouldn't you just rather smell my hand and pass the savings on to the SD National Guard?

It's like hanging with Jake Busey in the bathroom all night.  But he doesn't have any blow.  It's just him starring at you like that for hours on end, trying to make sense of the political landscape with no knowledge or wit whatsoever.  The one true hell.

When you are putting out a video trying to explain your actions, you are failing at trying to explain your actions.  But it doesn't matter, because the people who would vote for her don't give a fuck about her actions, other than she be as cruel as possible to the right people.

And didn’t he get run off because he was skimming campaign funds?

I can’t remember. It’s tough to keep all these grifters straight.

Of all the Vegas stories I've read or heard, never has one featured---in the very first fucking paragraph mind you---"Sister", "Governor", and "Benihana Private Room."

We are in a simulation.  If that violates your relationship with God, make amends soon.  Because things are about to get a little stranger.

The best people.

When you are at what is touted as a political function for a group of people who claim to be good Christians, and you're seated next to a guy named "Bubba" who is calling the guy across from him "Cheese Dick" and the guy on the other side of you is telling you about his sex life and dick size, yeah, the evening will be downhill from there.

The grift goes on forever and the party never ends

New Trump Super PAC Formed in the Wake of Misconduct Accusations
After a Trump donor accused Corey Lewandowski of making unwanted sexual advances, allies of the former president formed a new super PAC.

Allies of former President Donald J. Trump formed a new super PAC days after Corey Lewandowski, Mr. Trump’s former campaign manager and the leader of one of the largest pro-Trump super PACs, was accused of sexual misconduct.

The move, an attempt to isolate Mr. Lewandowski and deny him a role in Mr. Trump’s political operation, creates a new outside group to support the former president as he considers whether to run again in 2024. It also hints at the internal tumult that continues to divide the wide circle of formal and informal Trump advisers.

Last week, a donor to Mr. Trump, Trashelle Odom, made the allegations about Mr. Lewandowski in a statement. Mrs. Odom accused him of making unwanted sexual advances and touching her inappropriately at a dinner in Las Vegas.

A spokesman for the former president, Taylor Budowich, indicated last week that Mr. Lewandowski would be removed from his role overseeing the super PAC, Make America Great Again Action, and “will no longer be associated with Trump World.”

But Mr. Lewandowski has told associates he has not been removed. He is one of the entity’s two board members. The new super PAC formed as a result, calling itself “Make America Great Again, Again!” — a repurposing of Mr. Trump’s 2016 campaign slogan.

Mr. Lewandowski did not respond to a request for comment.

The new group filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission on Friday. It will be led by Pam Bondi, the former attorney general of Florida, and Kimberly Guilfoyle, the former Fox News personality who is dating Mr. Trump’s oldest son, Donald Trump Jr.

Whether Mr. Lewandowski is banished from the Trump orbit and its network of wealthy donors is far from certain. The former president is known to bring aides he has fired back into the fold, including Mr. Lewandowski, who was removed from Mr. Trump’s 2016 campaign but continued to enjoy access and influence at the White House.
