Nah. OU is a good win. Holding your rival to two FGs and winning by 16 is a good win given all the shit we've endured in this series. Vandy would've been a great win if we didn't have a decimated secondary in the 2nd half.

True that.  I  forgot about it because of the crap sandwiches served since then.

I think people really overdo the Saban angle with Sark.  he isn't a Saban acolyte. he was a Saban reclamation project.  He and Kiffin are Carroll acolytes.

Smart is a Saban acolyte, kind of like Muschamp, but had more time under Saban than Mus did.

Muschamp being at Georgia the last few years probably helps Kirby a ton as well.  Dude was not a good HC but he's a top flight DC.

You obviously did watch the game, check the box score or the final.

This board is crashing out because we lost to OSU (again) lost to Florida struggled against Kentucky, MSU and Vanderbilt then after a bye week went in and got our shit pushed in for the 3rd time in a row by Kirby Smart.

Minimizing it at this point is complete stupidity or trolling.

It's not that we lost. It's how we lost. More precisely, it's how Sark failed at preparing the team, preparing the gameplan, and executing on gameday. Writing this off as a single loss is completely underselling what happened.

respectable loss at Georgia would not have hurt our CFP chances. But whatever the fuck that was we had to endure on Saturday? That is more than simply losing one in-conference game.

We have a coach that has his head up his ass and is nothing to see here.

I’ll paraphrase as Exhibit A from last night.   ‘We are running the ball fine.”    When we were hardly running the ball and we ended the game 23yards rushing

We lose to Arky and aggy, hold my beer…

This was a bad loss.  The loss to Florida was a bad loss.  The wins have all been horrible wins.

You don't think 35-10 is a bad loss. After we lost to them twice last year.

You realize we lost to them twice last year and with a better team. And I’d argue they were worse last year. So why are you surprised by the result?

It’s eye opening to see the gap to how an elite program operates once. It’s embarrassing to see it 5 times in a row (UGA/OSU).

It’s crazy to think Sark could turn us around in 5 years to operate like those elite programs that have been doing it for a decade or more.

Y’all are spazzing out all over this board as if Georgia was supposed to be a walk over for this team. It’s hard for me to believe yall have been watching this team all year and came away shocked and appalled by what you witnessed last night. It was more of the same. A week off wasn’t going to change that. Georgia has equal to better talent than us on both sides of the ball. Losing to them isn’t a bad loss.

Nah, we're crashing out, because it's the exact same script again and again. We weren't favored to win and against GA and just had a bad game. It's a recurring nightmare at this point.

This board is full of spoiled ass fans who think they have the right to root for a competitive team. Everyone knew this was a 6 not 5 year rebuild.

Arch has improved, but the team has not. Vandy is by far the best team we've faced at home, but Arkansas is a historical rival that will definitely bring more fans and things can get ugly fast, even at home, if they score early and often. If that happens, I don't see Sark turning it around.

I'm going to disagree. Getting blown out by UGA is a bad loss. The team looked totally unprepared in the 2nd half. At no point yesterday did I think we remotely had a chance to win that game even when we cut it to 4.

No matter what anyone tells you, that dream isn't completely dead for Texas if it can win out, particularly over No. 3 Texas A&M, but there's no question the path just got more treacherous. If Texas ultimately does miss the playoff, it'll represent one of the greatest disappointments of any college football program this season given the significant financial investment in this roster. And it starts leading to questions wondering if perhaps Sarkisian's window to win it all is narrowing after back-to-back semifinal losses the last two seasons.

Whether it's the red zone issues, the dropped passes, the inability to put together a cohesive and competent offensive line to protect Arch Manning, there are plenty reasons to be frustrated with a Texas team that is less than the sum of its parts.”

Several in the sports media have written many pieces the last 18 or so hours. All the same. You can pick apart individual writers and slam them if you want but you are fighting a losing battle. Most anyone with a fucking brain thinks similarly even it it’s just a tiny portion of the above excerpts I quoted from the article.

So again this is where the sports News Media is at this current point. Be it local. Be it national. Be it a blogger or a true sports reporter behind a big brand or a op Ed writer they are all basically saying the same thing.

i guess We will have to see what happens in the offseason. But people no longer think Arch is the problem man. They see it as a Sark thing. Regardless of how Sark or his defenders choose to see it

21-10 lead in the 4Q. We hadn't driven the length of the field all game. That onside kick was basically just Kirby telling Sark "I own you bitch."

losing to GA itself isn't the issue

it's the reasons for the loss - poor preparation, questionable play calling, unforced errors, lack of discipline, and confusion

those things happen, even to elite teams. but a combination of all of them happening on a game-by-game basis is maddening and reflects a poor job by the coaching staff. how many more easy TDs are going to be surrendered because the secondary is either out of position or miscommunicates? they are problems that can be reduced drastically with good coaching, but hasnt improved at all through the entire season.

simply getting outplayed by a superior team is much easier to accept. but that is not what happened yesterday.

We lost by 25 points, man.

A field goal loss in Athens is not a bad loss, especially if it's your first loss, or mayyyybe your second.

Getting blown the fuck out for your third loss and only scoring 10 points with all this weaponry and an offensive guru head coach is a terrible fucking loss.

The only thing that would be worse would be getting blown out in Starkville or losing in Lexington, which we also tried to do.

We're really close to being 5 and fucking 5 right now.

This whole season is a bad loss.

Starting to think you are somehow a good friend of Sarks's. Look we all saw the garbage play calling against OSU and we saw the garbage play calling last night. Sure Ga and OSU are tough, but with a real offensive play caller Texas would have stood a much better shot at winning. Sark the offense guru with QB sneak and designed QB run, hell gd gd gd could call those awful plays

Georgia blew the fucking doors of of a woefully under prepared and equally matched Texas that was plagued by mental mistakes in all 3 phases of the game.

Drops galore, broken down run block collapses, broken coverages, onside kick fuckup, holding on a killer return the list goes on and on and again miss me with the georgia is just so much more talented at the roster level. They aren't, full stop.

It was an atrocious game with very few bright spots for Texas and compared to Georgia who played disciplined, physical football it looked like Texas was a G5 team.

Texas looked fucking bad bad. Georgia looked alright.

I wouldn't say we're equally matched. Our OL is hot garbage. But we do have equal, if not better resources, so the product is inexcusable either way.

It's absolutely not the nature of the game for a team to look like shit in a loss.

Would you say MSU or Kentucky looked like shit in their losses to Texas? Would you say USC looked like shit in their loss to us at the National Championship game? What about us vs Washington? ASU and their loss to Texas last year in the playoff? Vanderbilt in their loss to Texas last year?

Frequently, one team beats another despite the loser executing their game plan as well as possible and for various reasons simply falls short. It could be athletic/talent match ups, it can be fluke occurrences and sometimes it is shittastic officiating (Sadly more common that it should be).

Conversely, there are times when one team is out coached, out played and just comes out and shits the bed. That is exactly what Texas did against Georgia. That's not the nature of the game. Looking that shitty is the result of horrible coaching effort and preparation.
