Yes, if he loses the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl

Incidentally, has anyone ever tried eating Cheez-Its while drinking orange juice? It sounds awful

If he gets fired, it'll be "for cause", but probably kept internal and promulgated as "mutually agreed". He'd get a few million to help him get by and keep his mouth shut.

He's busting his ass trying to MackBrown his way into the Rose Bowl CFP. Maybe he can do it, and more power to him.

Sark jumped to 13% and 3rd in odds to be the Titans next coach last Tuesday and has stayed around there.

IDK who the hell UT will target after this crazy coaching cycle if Sark bails for TN

It is the Tennessee Titans.

It's still owned by the decedents of Bud Adams who we all know couldn't stand sustained success when the team was in Houston and always found a way to mess things up.

It would not be shocking hire.

I haven't had one of those in about 20 years. My dad used to like 'em. "You gotta try this!"

Nobody on staff hopefully. My personal list would have been

In no order

Lane

Lincoln Riley with PK

Freeman if he'd leave the North

Maybes

Glen Schumann from Georgia

Mullen with NIL would be fun

Traylor as the absolute final decent option

I swear NFL GM's are like those girls who think the bad boy who cheats on every girl he's ever been with and treats them like shit will suddenly change and be a different person with her.  Kliff Kingsbury has failed as a head coach not just at Tech, but also with the Arizona Cardinals.  He absolutely sucks as a head coach.  He is an OC, and that is all he should ever be...but these morons keep Peter Principling guys who are great coordinators but crappy head coaches.  I just don't get it.

We all know the hire for the Titans will be an NFL retread, like 90% of all hires in the NFL

So far, yes.  The Falcons will probably open up, maybe the Cardinals.

Sark doesn't qualify as an NFL retread since he's never been a HC?

IDK what a Titans exec would like about Sark's offense this year, or his OC tenure with the Falcons, but Kingsbury was a HC, so anything is possible.

His 3 seasons of NFL coaching, the last being 9 years ago, probably doesn't qualify him a job-hopping NFL retread, no.

25 seasons of coaching, and only 3 in the NFL (1 year Raiders QB coach, 2 years Falcons OC)

I prefer Freeman by a long shot, but it'd be fun to watch the Sooners' collective heads explode if we hired Riley. At least short term, until we realize the mistake we've made.

The Falcons BETTER open the fuck up.  Why the fuck doesn't Bijan get the ball when it's tied with 2 mins left?  Give him the ball 4 fucking times. Hand It to him, throw it to him, whatever.  Get it in his hands.

In the modern era USC is doomed without major changes.

He beats the teams he's supposed to and can recruit very well. With a competent DC he'd do no worse than Sark has done to this point.

I think he’s better than sark but I don’t think he likes competition.

surprised you had Schumann over hartline

Yeah, last I checked USC wasn't ranked in the Top 10 for NIL collectives. But, as a private school, I don't think they have an obligation to disclose that. Agree that Riley probably won't do worse than Sark.

7 years under Saban and 10 under smart. Coached with lanning as well. That's about as solid as it gets.

My only worry is that he's a ginger.

Titans are geniuses. 😂 They were so right to fire Vrabel. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I mean look how shitty he’s doing with the patriots (sarcasm.)

i love to see it. Titans threw away a great HC. And though  I still have PTSD from the Brady led Patriots, I love seeing the titans continue to look like asshats. Vrabel is a damn good HC and he turned around what Belichick screwed around with after Brady left in ONE YEAR.

thats coaching. And the more Belichick embarrasses himself the more I think it was 75% Brady. Legit.

I’ve wondered where they stood in the NIL world.   Ironically I wonder if the NFL being back in LA has hurt USC in the sense they are no longer the football team in LA that got the attention from commercial concerns.   Sorry to our @Sbbruin on here if I slighted UCLA in this discussion.

I hope he says “hey we will just go independent!” Fuck it! The SEC refs really really showed their asses this year. Let’s just pick our own schedule and schedule whatever P4 teams we want plus OU.

One of Sark's issues is that he doesn't believe that some/many of the committee people don't even watch the games.  They just see the final score.

Both Neuheisel and Childers totally agreed with him.

I understand why the AP has to box score watch but the committee has 2 days to watch more than just stats. They also have 2 plus days to get inundated with propaganda which we have been very good at since Friday night.

Miami on the other has been silent. There are levels to this shit.

The first year of the committee and playoffs I remember several game broadcasts mentioning how the members were all issued tablets so they could watch all the games.  As if they all wanted to watch as much football as humanly possible, but they were constricted by the lack of a tablet.

The problem with this strategy is that we don't know how good any P4 team will be years down the road. Sankey and the SEC have mandated that the OOC skeds include at least one P4. What looks like a cupcake now may not be in 2028 and '29 with the portal and NIL.

It wasn't long ago that Wake Forest competed for the ACC championship. aggy ducked them in a bowl game, remember?

Just schedule Nebraska every year and be done with it.
