Texas A&M medical school bragged about removing photos of white male alumni:

The Texas A&M School of Medicine bragged that removing photos of white male alumni was an example of its institutional commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, new documents reveal.

Apparently, it's true. Here's what I found from a freedom of info request.

I think it was a Cheers episode, but not sure (some early 90's sitcom IIRC).  Anyway, not the line in "Casino" about Nicky's betting technique being un-scientific.

But it's a main character talking sports betting with another regular about his mathematical approach to gambling.  And the schlub asks the smart guy, "You know so much about sports betting, what's your secret?"  And the smart guy says, "Basically, I listen to how you're gonna bet and I do the exact opposite."

I'm starting to base more and more of my life choices on what Aggies are doing.  I look over at A&M and whatever they're doing in life, I try and do the exact opposite.

Also Seinfeld when Costanza realizes he will succeed if he does the exact opposite of what his instinct tells him to do.  I feel they should show that episode at every Fish camp as one of those mandatory onboarding trainings for new Aggy students.

Was it possibly the movie "let it ride" with Richard Dreyfuss?

Idea stolen from Hogan's Heros, when Hogan had to disarm a bomb that had landed in the stalag but had not detonated. It came down to clipping one of two wires where one disarms and the the other detonates. Hogan ask Clink which wire to cut and Hogan cuts the other wire and saves the day. Hogan said he had no idea which was the right wire to cut, but was pretty sure Clink would pick the wrong one.

it could

never go south of the 10-yard line of the south end of pyle especially with people in that thing

it's going to collapse with massive loss of life during a game before the end of this decade

And instead of learning & growing from the experience and holding anyone accountable, they will instead celebrate the sacrifice of those lost.

Am I the only person who didn't know they even had a medical school?  That institution never came up when my kids were applying.

I know they have at least some of their med school at Round Rock. I did hear that they had an internship deal with Seaton/Breckenridge and when UT took that over for the med school they screamed bloody murder that their graduates had no internships available (and that it was all a plot by UT to screw them over). Lack of planning and options had nothing to do with it of course.

They as a whole, a group of generational morons, keep kicking the can of “next year” down the road. That road has increased in length for decades, so it just keeps piling upon itself.

They were mediocre in all conferences that they were in “historically”, so I really don’t know where they can possibly derive their “chest bumping” mentality. All one has to do is look at their history from previous conference participation: SWC, B12, and now SEC = barely above .500 in conference play.

They will fight to no end to ensure that both Texas and OU aren’t on their regular SEC schedule going forward. The SEC-W was already tough enough for them, let alone letting Daddy and Step-Dad appear on that annual 12 game schedule.
