True

I should have just said they’ll make the league, there are numerous UDFA examples

These guys should consider playing school rather than bouncing to a directional school to flounder for a semester of three.

Agreed. Focus on your degree and give up football. At this point, nobody wants them if they're still in the portal.

so let me get this straight.....those guys were here on a full ride scholarship ride, but negated that deal because they thought they could portal out and be starters at Bama or some such?  Sounds like school was not in the future for that brain trust either.

More than likely the staff told them they no longer had a spot. They weren’t expecting to go to Bama, they were more than likely trying to transfer to non power 5 schools.

Wells was listing height and weight for incoming lineman

Banks 6’5 320

Campbell 6’4 317

Williams 6’6 350

Robertson 6’4 302

Neto 6’4 285 (they had him that back in the fall, and he looks a lot bigger than that now unless he was below that in the fall)

Don’t think he said anything on Agbo

6'2 for Robertson?? I don't think I've ever seen him listed so low, nor did he ever look that small next to Arch or Hutson.

Per IT...  The team will return next Tuesday and begin practice the following day.
*The 110 rule will be enforced in 2022 - you can only take 110 players to fall camp. Players who don’t make that cut can't practice or attend meetings until the first week of the season.

I was informed that we shouldn't worry about the numbers.  110 seems like a lot

But out of curiosity, what is the roster count?

Thx @40acredropout   Cross-posting...

40AcreDropout "Here ya go.  Added offense and also added PFF overall player grades.  I know several posters on here think the PFF college grades are garbage (and maybe they are) but I figured it was at least one way to stack up past production against rest of depth chart and compared to D1 / Big 12 sample."

Has anyone heard the status of RS Freshman Ishmael Ibraheem?  Is he still suspended?

Pretty sure he's back...

Aug 13th IT:   "Ishmael Ibraheem had a pick on Charles Wright."

Aug 28th IT depth chart:

CB: D’Shawn Jamison, Jamier Johnson, Ishmael Ibraheem

In Sarks defense we haven’t had any depth in 12 years.  No reason to highlight that until it changes.

Nothing too surprising here. Although the DT rotation has been murky throughout all the practice reports. I’d say if Ojomo and Murphy really are the starters at DT, then we’re probably going to be more aggressive with our DL. That is not a combo you start if you plan on primarily 2 gapping all game.

Im thinking listing DMO as starter at Sam and WLB means DMO will be the Will in 2 backer sets and move to Sam in 3 backer sets with DTD coming in at Will, which makes sense.

Could be wrong but wasn’t Kitan at FS and Coffey at BS. Thought one of the big position battle this camp was Kitan and Jerrin for FS

Interesting that Hutson beat out Campbell at guard. If Campbell is as advertised, Hutson is certainly a steal. Will be more interesting to see what this means about those 3 (including Conner) at guard going forward. Or if one can play Tackle.

Definitely saw his name plenty in the offseason posts, just usually don't put too much stock in 9.95 posts until it's really go time.

Being an early enrollee is huge, especially for an OL. Also, apparently he's just good.

This.  Gerry mentioned in one of the videos with Burton that Cam Williams told Gerry that he wished he had EE'd - opportunity was there to play Game 1 if he had been an EE.

Kid is supposedly very serious about football and has a family/foundation that reinforces that. Also football smart, I think he's our center next year if Campbell comes on strong.
