Note re:  OKSt/BYU for the Metroplex fans.

— Due to inclement weather and cold temperatures, the BYU-Oklahoma State baseball series scheduled for March 10-12 in Provo is being moved to Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, home of the Texas Rangers.

OKST has a 4 game series this week at home against Seton Hall, which is currently 1-12. I suspect we’ll lose more than one of those games and the freak out will commence. We also play DBU which I assume we’ll lose because they are a tough program and we never play well in mid week one offs.

OSU completed the sweep of Seton Hall. Now have won 7 straight.

And man, I was just looking at Seton Hall’s record they are 1-16 now. Like holy shit. It seems like it would actually be difficult to have a record like that in baseball. I have a memory that Seton Hall had a decent program, but maybe I’m thinking of something else?

They’ve played a tough schedule, but still. Oddly enough, their only win is against Florida in Gainesville.

Probably the most notable thing about Seton Hall's baseball program is that they've had only 3 head coaches since 1948.

Back in the 70s they were great with some Omaha trips. In the 1980s they became merely pretty good. But northern programs fell off a cliff at some point in the late 80s and Seton Hall was no exception. They have only been an occasional regional participant since.

Yeah I had a weird memory like we played them in the Regionals or Super Regionals a few years ago, but I think I was thinking of St. John's. We played them in the Fayetteville Regional a few years ago.

Yeah, I was thinking Seton Hall must have been pretty good back when Frank Viola was pitching there...wait, that was St. John's.
